    No, what's ruining the achievement is the outpost flipping, not the double ap.

    No double AP. NEVER... 190 position in queue, thats almost 2h of waiting to get kicked after 30min because of overcrowded server. No thank you. Id like to ser more... Interactive events like, hordes of Molag Bal attacking keeps or mercenary army, or just simple tournament 1v1, group vs group just for achievements, titles or smth like that. Something thats not usual, something that will bring some fresh air into Cyrodiil, because what we have now is one big farm fest, its not even connected with pvp... Although those rookies everywhere, its like mowing a lawn.

    People who take objectives to make points for the campaign score should be rewarded more for their efforts than player AP farmers at Alessia bridge and resource tower farms.

    Be at these objectives to defend them and fight other players rather than just at the bridge.
    But they do need to put a cool down/diminishing returns on flipping objectives and all will be good.

    I hate it. Haderus is currently just full of scumbags exploiting the double AP. I am staying away from there until this is over, its really sad... I hope they NEVER repeat this monstrosity of an 'event'!

    A double AP Weekend from time to time wouldn't be bad. It'll certainly be good for those people who hate PvP, but really need an alliance skill like Vigor, for one or more of their characters.

    I voted for other type. I don't really know how to explain it, just something else. Like randomly spawn a powerful monster on the Cyrodiil map that'll require a good zerg to take down, which will give a random reward from your alliance commander, depening on how helpful you were (damage given, damage taken, health healed).

    Just a brainstorming idea, could be anything else too.

    Nice "I know you are but what am I" style comeback... To the point, as someone else stated, any meaning pvp ranks and titles may have had is long gone now. And anyway, the reason that people are gaining ranks so quickly is the inflated objective take values, not the double AP as a whole. There really was no solid reason to push those values so high in the first place, imo.

    Absolutely, a double AP weekend once a month or so would be great! I know there are people who earned GO the hard way, but how few of them exist I think should show how ridiculous the grind is, and you can always give a special title or mount or something to the people who did it the old way. Grand Overlord should take time, but its way over the top right now and its way to punishing to anyone who wants to play more than one character.

    No. Random spawning mega monsters is a PvE event. We dont need more PvE in PvP adding more crap for the server to handle.

    I totally agree. People should be rewarded for focusing on the map and winning the campaign. Here is a system that would do wonders in that regard.

    What we have in place right now is too easy to abuse and is out of control. Unless they bring significant mesures to adapt the system like we all suggested in these forums prior of the change, this isn't going to work.

    For example, the most realistic fix in my opinion would be to attribute a certain amount of AP for each keep level (1-5). 1 being the least and 5 being the most amount of AP you would get for capturing said objective. This way, trading between factions would be pointless and it would encourage people to capture objectives all over Cyrodiil.

    • Fix Volendrung (spawn location - weapon white on the map causing the wielder to keep it forever - usable with emperorship)
    • Remove / Change CPs System, remove current CP/noCP campaigns and introduce one 30days with lock, one with no locks

    That's the point of the achievement, though. To reward dedication to PvPing on one character over a very long period of time. I bet ZOS originally intended it to take well over a year to achieve.

    I think a double AP event from time to time would be beneficial in the long run by encouraging new players to try PvP. But not until *after* they resolve the ease and effectiveness which capture ticks can be exploited. And they encourage zerg-stacking objectives instead of getting people to spread out, and rewards pvdoor/pve more than defending.

    Honestly I fine with the ap values just put a cool down on the time between captures and there fixed I can finally play casually and I might one day get Grand Overlord

    AD got a 262k flip-tick a couple days ago at BRK, this was after 4 hours of fighting. In those 4 hours others that weren't there fighting non-stop had already made close to a mil, just from capping empty keeps and resources.

    More events in cyrodiil--especially more interesting events--would be a welcome change.

    1 week where its one death/no res and you are gone. The army left standing or army with most troops at the end of the campaign timer wins.

    ^This would certainly make things more interesting. Also blood porting would be a thing of the past and people would think twice before jumping into that zerg.

What defense I've done lately is try to kill as many of the zerg as I can with oils and cold fire because there's no help coming, then bail out the back while they are stacking the flags. :/

    Yea I don't really care about AP much either, but during this event in Cyro, there really isn't any PvP taking place.

    That fight was a complete one off, still awesome, don't get me wrong. The battle was in the beginning of this event, everyone realized right after that, that there is no AP to be made in defending and ever since it's just been stupid. Literally everyone, is just blobbing down keeps and no one is defending. Side note, I tried to take that keep for at least an hour, I lagged out probably 4-5 times, then quit.

    Other. Events will be way better. Please no more double ap. Due to this incident yesterday with ad and ep. AP farm in both sejanus and bleakers. While bleakers keep switching to red and ad. Back and fourth. For 1 hr. Plus sejanus after.

    Because of this incident. I'm now hiding in blues. Taking refuge there. Unsure when I go back red though. But since I am very well known. Due to my forums. I'm very well known throughout certain campaign. At times I wish I was not recognized. I would want anything without ap farming.

    Don't know where you guys are playing but we had fights all over the place last night on PC NA TF. We had people taking and defending keeps and scrolls all over too.

    I'm waiting for the event where I get something different in my Rewards for the Worthy mail. Anything will do. I'd settle for a picture of Wrobel giving me the finger and it would be better than the same tired old sets over and over again.

    Yes, would be nice to see was random mix of various sets or at least very small chance for some set item you get from dungeons/trials. At least we also get a bit of gold and soul gems now, though - during the first 6 months or so after launch, I was always broke from buying soul gems.

    You would only have a better chance to get ganked - No AP would mean PvE'r gank fest.

    Good idea just no though, PVPers already get 5% of the 95% of love pvers get. That would just be silly. No offense of course. From your perspective it might seem cool but from mine, I hate pve. It's boring and repetitive. Just no.

    Short term double AP that is only a portion of the campaign is

    BAD FOR PVP


    On a regular campaign, relative AP gain is linear.

    When you introduce a week say for example on the 30 day campaign, this creates a surge in AP scores on the leaderboards.

    If every player hypothetically has a maximum amount of AP they can earn per hour (which, in actuality probably presents itself as not the exact same but a relatively smaller size difference of AP per hour, as ranks increase toward the top rank), then what this does is it effectively doubles the AP players at the top of the leaderboard can earn, as they most likely have the most hours to invest in playing.

    For players lower on the leaderboard, this creates an exponential downward pressure on their ability to catch up in non double-AP weeks, because the gap between hours invested has been substantially made wider.

    All double AP does in the short term is increase the security of players to maintain their ranks at the top of the leaderboard.
    It essentially rigs the leaderboards to favour the players at the top.



    Not that it wasn't already rigged, but it further rigs the boards. I am all for NO CP and TESTING, but the double AP incentive rigged the boards.

    @gibous made the comment last night that this week is drawing a ton of people to Cyrodiil who wouldn't usually be playing PvP, and he wondered why ZOS hasn't incorporated Cyrodiil into past holiday incentive events. They've doubled tel var, resource nodes, and vma drops for past events. Why not implement some Cyrodiil incentives too?

    I'm just guessing but that's all DLC content, so from an old sales guy's perspective it looks like they are trying to improve sales, or get people near the fringe of a purchase to take the leap. ZoS never had an incentive to reward THEM for promoting Cyrodiil.
