At one time we had ten campaigns, each with much higher population cap and epic battles were found all over the map 24/7, even weeknights.

This week's event has brought back some of the fun we had during the period after launch with tons of people in Cyrodiil all the time. Prior to this week, we had only one high pop campaign and even that one was a bit dead late at night. I hope some of these new and returning players decide to stick around.

    Please, never double the AP again. You are ruining the only achievement worth getting pvping and the PVP economy in the meantime. Also, revert back the Homestead changes regarding the AP gain for capturing objectives. Thanks.

    • Fix Volendrung (spawn location - weapon white on the map causing the wielder to keep it forever - usable with emperorship)
    • Remove / Change CPs System, remove current CP/noCP campaigns and introduce one 30days with lock, one with no locks
    • Fix crashes when approaching a keep under attack because of bad / wrong rendering prioritization system
    • Change emperorship to value faction score points and not alliance points - see this and this
    • Fix long loading screens (mostly caused by players joining group out of rendering range)
    • Add 2 more quickslots to the wheel or add a different wheel for sieges weaponry only
    • Fix Balista Bolts not dealing damage on walls or doors if deployed at a certain place
    • Release bigger battlegrounds with 8 to 16 players per team and only two teams
    • Fix the permanent block animation - see examples : link1 link2 link3 link4 link5
    • Gives players 10 minutes to get back into Cyrodiil after relogging / crashing
    • Add a function to ignore the Claiming system of useless rewards
    • Improve the Mailing System / Rewards of the Worthy stacking
    • Assign specific group sizes to specific campaigns (24-16-8)
    • Make forward camps impossible to place near objectives
    • Make snares only available from ground effects abilities
    • Change emperorship to last minimum 24hours
    • Fix body sliding after cc breaking too quickly
    • Remove Block Casting through Battle Spirit
    • Fix the speed drop while jumping - see video

    Double AP weekends (or double it only for some activities)
    "No AP" weekend - so PvErs could have chance to get their achievs with less chances to be ganked.

    @gibous made the comment last night that this week is drawing a ton of people to Cyrodiil who wouldn't usually be playing PvP, and he wondered why ZOS hasn't incorporated Cyrodiil into past holiday incentive events. They've doubled tel var, resource nodes, and vma drops for past events. Why not implement some Cyrodiil incentives too?

It's like you're just forgetting the time of no-diminishing-returns AP, the kill trading back when there were a dozen campaigns, the bugged skills exploited to gain huge amounts of AP, the skills specifically designed to enable young single nightblades in your area to rake in AP by the thousands, etc. etc. I can't think of a single 5-star that hasn't participated in at least one of these. There might be, I just don't know of any. Maybe some streamers whose literal job it is to be good at PvP all day, but that's about it.

    I don't even know what you're complaining about anyway, all of us in Trueflame PC NA were waist-deep in blood for the entirety of our waking hours, yourself included. Please show me where on the map where people are avoiding each other instead of getting fights.

    This isn't as much an event as it is a way for ZOS to collect data and continue improving game performance in PvP. The double AP is a sugary sweet to entice people to pack the campaigns.

    It is not because there were flaws in the system before that we should support more flaws in the future. Your logic doesn't make any sense. I am pointing out a system where people earn AP way too fast and are ruining the only honorific achievement left in the game on top of the PVP economy.

    The only way that pvpers have to earn gold nowadays is to sell the PVP bags containing Overland drops. With all the recent changes to earn AP (not only the double AP week), those items are about to be worth nothing.

    I've never said that players aren't engaging each other. I said that increasing the AP gain for capturing objectives with the Homestead patch on top of a double AP week encourage people to exploit and abuse, trading objectives instead of actually fighting each other. Brian and his team should have kept the double AP gain strictly for killing and healing players.

    Good try twisting my words around and avoiding a very simple fact.

    Cyrodiil needs a bit of an update/overhaul.

    its essentially remained the same for 3 years. the only add on was a completely different zone and an item vendor. oh and town captures. whooo wee.

    that being said, im all for anything that brings players back to content, regardless of how out of date it is. I also think pvp ranks are a yet- to- be- officially- explained- massive grind. Please tell me why it takes so long to get max rank when most people spammed rapid regen and zerg surfed to the top. i want the dyes. and now the home furnishings. ./shrug

    I'd like to special one off campaigns with special rules and unique rewards.

    Eg a Weekend Warrior special campaign that runs fro 48hours where the winning conditions were determined at the end of the weekend.

    Faction with the current emp wins.
    If no emp then the faction with most scrolls.
    If equal scrolls then most emp keeps.
    Finally most current points.

    Have unique rewards such as an alliance costume or pet or mount or something.
    Big it up and run it once a quarter.

    My logic is fine, you just aren't getting that your premise is faulty. There is no worthy honorific achievement in PvP. All of them have been besmirches by kill trading, broken skills, eras of "way too fast" AP gain and the like. Double AP week isn't ruining anything, it's all gone to heck years ago. If anything, we have been earning AP way too slowly for the last year and a half might finally be getting back to a decent earning potential. I think a rolling AP-value reset on kills and a higher base AP reward for kills would have been the better route, but they want to encourage people to play the map more so I don't really begrudge their current strategy.

    I don't really have an opinion on the AP economy since that also went to heck years ago when they were (and still are) handing out AP by the millions with a long period of nothing worth buying. People have millions stocked up and can usually buy anything they like, and PvEers can just go PvE for their overland sets, so idk exactly how they're going to spend money buying AP bags.

    Finally, encouraging behavior and that behavior actually being a problem are totally different. Currently keep trading is only an issue on EU as far as the forums are reporting. So I don't really understand the point of bringing up how it encourages bad behavior when nobody on our server is actually engaging in the problematic actions.

    This. Would be fun. Definitely a costume, a hat, a hood, or something visual would make it interesting.

    Why not bring the devs in too, at least one on each alliance. SWTOR did PVP events where staff queued up and fought players (under their own real names). It was great fun killing them.

    Or all doors removed in cyro with normal rules or with rez points only at gate keep, towns captured, and camps.

    Don't do this again in a particular campaign.
    ZOS can do this in Azure' Star.

    The only thing we need is ZOS stuff really play their game in True Flame.

    The only reason there are so many playing is for extra AP. If it was to become a regular thing, the returns would diminish and would be offset by the loss of OCD players who play to max AR.

    This is a gimmick that will only work so many times.

    The actual solution to what ails Cyrodiil is investment from ZOS: more devs designing new gameplay and content, real solutions to mitigate cheating, faster responses to bugs and glitches.

    If the gameplay was good enough, we would not need incentives to play at all.

    The boosting is getting bad. There's gonna be a lot of new/fake grand overlords after this event is over. Boosting as in reflipping keeps with the enemy faction without attacking each other.

    I don't like the double AP thing cause people's egos have a direct link to their AP, which is ridiculous. But I do like the idea of bringing more incentive to enter into Cyrodiil.

    No more double AP please.

    it just encourages keep trading and outpost trading and until the server is up to spec we shouldnt have this many people in cyro because its causing way to much lag for a majority of people there are those who have seen some form of improvement but the large majority are getting lagged to death and when its so laggy that you cant even see abilities that are hitting you and killing you or players around you then you know there is a problem.

    It also destroys the PvP gear economy which is annoying as hell.

    Any other even but double AP. urgh.

    Can you explain a bit more? You believe the population cap should be reduced lower than what it is currently? (The caps for each campaign used to be much higher, also there were more total campaigns.)

    Yeah I know, Bassically it should be bigger again instead of being so small but only when the server itself has been upgrade to a much more reasonable standard. Planetside 2 is far more high quality in terms of server capability, I virtually never lag even at prime time there. Yes different game, Different Genre, Different Engine BUT better server hardware can really improve things. I want to blame everything on the hero engine they rebuilt but theres only so much you can blame on player setups and Game engines before you have to admit that its the server hardware.

    I understand them not wanting to because it would cost a lot but they need to.

    Stamblade- Legate
    Tank/Heals Templar- Sergeant
    Magic DK- Corporal
    Stam DK- Sergeant
    Stamplar- Corporal

    In a contest between a large scale group of people spread out vs a zerg, the zerg would still win the scoring with their points cut in half because the sheer volume of kills they are obtaining would outweigh the kills the people spread out could accumulate. Zergs adhere to a very simple tactic - Overwhelm your enemy with sheer brute force and numbers and often or not they will bait the enemy into dead ends so they can zerg out again (too many people fall for the bait tactic).

    An organised zerg would still carry the scoring.

    I would like to see more pvp events like double AP weekends. As for pvp titles having meaning, that ship sailed long ago.
