Caltrops breaks stealth on caster

Why does caltrops break stealth when an enemy enters the area? I've never really dropped caltrops before, then entered stealth. So, I'm not sure if its new or not.
To emphasize, I am pulled from stealth by an enemy entering my caltrops.

✭✭✭You are dealing damage, you should get force out of stealth for it. If you don't want to get caught then don't try and sneak after throwing caltrops.2
