Can we politely *not* share names etc? This sort of thing can lead to witch hunts etc.
Crown Crates aren't a good thing. But neither is that sort of behaviour.
well to be fair as polite as it may not be. I however think it is polite that if a consumer asks a question about a product he/she has bought into that his/her question get answered. and even more so especially the concerning tid bit that a certain individual that has been put on board for marketing also specializes in xxx psychology. I thought another post someone posted with that certain individuals website was put up as a joke. It seems the joke will be on us in the near future
Oh I completely agree. About getting a response anyhow.
I completely disagree with passing around staff names who work behind the scenes and witch hunting. I honest to goodness thought this community was better than that. Guess not.
If this thread is closed down, and this thread has been pretty cool and insightful, then bravo.
I don't understand your logic. Why is the community at fault here? Why do we need to be above putting this person's name out there. She chose her career path, gets paid well to do it, ZOS hired her. No one has said anything about her that isn't true, it's all public knowledge. Why would there be a hunt for a witch if she's standing right in front of you doing the same thing she's bragged about doing for years on her LinkedIn profile?
Because in one thread where she was named, less than mature intelligence-challenged twits went to websites, started hatemail, bombed comments other places, and were less than polite in comments about her.
ZOS rightfully closed down that thread because it turned into an attack against an individual.
You can say the company sucks, or the devs do/don't do a great job at XYZ, but get into specific attacks against a single person? Yeah, that's flaming and it isn't allowed.
Criticism =/= an attack.
Voicing concerns =/= an attack.
There has been no attacking here, just pointing out that the less than satisfactory results of these same type of systems observed in other games can be linked to the same person now behind implementing them here.
Free speech isn't only a right so long as nobody gets offended. It is the right to criticize, to ridicule, to mock, to voice concerns, genuine or otherwise, and it should be protected. Attempting to silence an opposing viewpoint is counter-free-speech, and despicable.
If we, as a society, cannot tolerate 'less-than-polite comments,' then we're spineless idiots who deserve to get whatever ill-treatment those who would perpetrate it will give us.
Please note; I said this happened in a previous thread. Not this one. This one people have been rational and civil. The thread that was locked and had posts deleted was not. Hence the "Why we don't use her name." Just in case the people responsible for the less than stellar behavior weren't banned and happen to come to this thread.
By the way, please don't try the "free speech" route here. That works in a public forum, against the government infringing on your right to speak freely. It doesn't apply to a private website. Zenimax decides what is allowed here. You agreed to certain terms when you joined.

Well, I'm one of the original folks who pointed out her LinkedIn profile...and I've done none of these things.
I simply pointed out that she lists the very things that we do not want to happen to this game as 'accomplishments' on her virtual resume, and has presided over multiple Free-to-Play transitions.
It was more of a 'you don't need to be a weatherman' moment.
The reaction to what was said was a bit harsher than what I actually said if I remember correctly. Everyone wants to be a hero and save the damsel in distress it would seem, when in reality these are things she's proud of, and a career path she chose, there is no rescuing to be done because she actually -wants- to do these things to our game.

There is never any issues concerning the mention of any members of the Dev teams or even their superiors
The facts are publicly available this person is in charge of certain depts within ZoS and they also are very well known around the world within the gaming industry for this threads specific topic
while I agree with you it its entirety, I just can see zos coming in here because of some people taking offense to certain comments( although they shouldnt especially when its not directed at them) saying we are closing this thread due to derailment etc blah blah. Especially when this thread has been mostly kind, on topic, and very informative on other aspects. So more crate talk anyone less about this woman that shall remain nameless?

LOL, mine went funny too, this thread is crashing the forums, too much activity............I wonder why ?
One thing that's really gonna annoy me is that on the next ESO live show after this thing gets released they'll cheer it on and talk about it like it's the best thing that's ever happened to ESO.

If we collectively speak with our crowns by not buying these things then that it is a little harder to ignore yes?
Forum blindness is a common corporate condition. The same malady does not usually apply to spreadsheets and graphs though.

I agree and to be honest I think the community's feelings towards this topic is more than crystal clear, just as it was months ago when the possibility of crates was first released.
However another thing that is quite clear is ZoS are not interested in customer feedback concerning this topic, Crates ARE coming, Crates WILL contain exclusive items, NOTHING will stop this.
If anything some players are now more aware of what these Crates actually are now due to this thread, Its always better to learn from others experience than learn yourself through mistakes ^^

Doesn't everyone know? They're doing this for OUR benefit! We should be thanking them for this! /s

2. How will you get out?
3. I don't believe you've been in very long if this thread even qualifies as remotely creepy to you by Internet standards.

I'm curious about your sig. What are "crow" crates? Are they a new feature in the Blackfeather Court?
I hope so, as I love Crow's Wood.

They did say tomorrow. So given the standard ZOS has set, anytime in the next 6 months.
Just to alleviate some tension, I would like to mention that I read all of @lordrichter 's posts on Troy Baker's voice.

just treat this thread as a 'heads up' and if you're reading this in 2017 "I told you so"

Gina. Always Gina. They know that even a grade A, ***hole like me can't stay mad at her.
Why Crown Crates will slow down the release of new content more than the actual Crown Store? Aren't there supposed to be different development teams, like one dedicated to the Crown Store, one for testing, one for PvP combat, etc?
Because RNG Boxes make more money with the same cost of development. It's really just that.
I'll give you an example. Say, how many Crowns would an Apex mount cost in the Crown Store? 5k Crowns? Maybe 6k Crowns?
I spent over 34k Crowns on the PTS before I was able to have enough gems to buy one of them. I didn't drop a single Apex mount.
I agree, the odds are really bad if you want something specific from these crates, but I don't understand why it will slow down the release of new content. ^^' I'm sorry if I sound dumb but I don't think the whole dev team is needed to work on the Crown Crates, I guess I will have to see it happening by myself to believe it and I don't want to see it happening...
