30% of Xbox players haven't completed tutorial.

New xbox update shows the percentage of accounts (not characters) who have accomplished each achievement. The rate of players reaching end game is very low with only 8% reaching level 50 and the most shocking only 70% of players competed the tutorial which is required on your first character... After comparing to Skyrim I see the results are not abnormally low but in fact the common amount of players even in the critically acclaimed skyrim. With only 69% of Skyrim players competing "unbound" that games tutorial but that could be players with mods which disable achievements.

I'm wondering if it is accurate. Not all of my games are, especially with comparisons to other players. It seems impossible to think that presumably over 100k players bought the game, but didn't make it through a tutorial that takes less than an hour. As for the other side of 8% at or over level 50, it also seems way off.

According to Matt Firor, frequent players don't exist. The game is shifting focus to casual players.

When the game released several sites reported after the first month the game sold 500,000 on Xbox. That's the only numbers we have about the game.

Even casual players only going up a level a week would have made it to endgame by now.Unless they play on every DLc and leave and even than you can go up several levels by just doing the DLc.

i would agree with this, my xbxo stats vary depending what character i am logged in to for each catagory (except skyshards) and since i have 12 charcater slots, and skipped the tutorial on 11 of them, i would assume the majority of the 30% is credited to people being signed on to alts when stats were generated.

Achievements are character-specific, not account-wide, so does the Xbox update make it clear whether the figures relate to characters or players? For example, after you've done the tutorial once you are given the option to skip it with all subsequent characters.

Good point. Are xbox achievement statistics based on total accounts or on total characters?

Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

It should be account since its global achievement for your GT.So all characters from each player should be added up.in a total.

Could it be because they skipped the tutorial? I don't remember if you can do that on your first character, but if so that might account for some of that 30%.

Edit: Never mind, just saw it's not. No idea then, they may have purchased the game and not started it yet?

That could make up a portion for sure still would mean alot of players buy the game and don't play. Checked Skyrim to compare and it's actually comparable to picking up a mundus stone achievement which you do after Helgen.

Xbox isn't always accurate regarding who actually opened games, though. My profile shows a ton of games I have never played, never even opened, but that are on my Xbox because my husband's Gold games automatically download on my Xbox since it is also marked as his primary.

Additionally, you don't need to finish the tutorial to join a guild. We have three alt accounts that once upon a time were used to bump a guild up to ten slots for the bank access. Each has a single level one character. So if you go by the numbers at my house, only 40% of the accounts here have finished the tutorial. Doesn't mean we don't play t game obsessively. :D We just don't use those accounts for anything anymore. (Even kicked them from the guild).
Why be normal when you can be better?

    +1

That 70% could also be interpretated as that accounts have on average 1.4 characters.

You cannot use Xbox Achievements as accurate statistics, because it doesn't show trophies of those who have not synced it...I guess it works the same as with PS trophies - unless you go and "sync your trophies", your trophies will be only unlocked only in your console - so anywhere else it will show as you have not unlocked them yet...I have been playing ESO since console launch, but I haven't synced my trophies for more than half a year, so even though I actually got plenty of PS trophies, it was showing that I didn't have them...

Happens with every game. It was a similar number to those who didn't complete the tutorial in Skyrim, nor is does that percentage actually tell you the amount of players that 30% is in relation to. I also don't think either Sony's or MS stats are that great.

    no you start at 3.

You don't get the experience in your skill trees to unlock skills though. Using the tutorial to grind to 5 usually lets me unlock 2 - 4 abilities before I even set foot in the overworld.

People who realised this game is not for them so stopped playing, players setting up extra accounts to join there personal guild as to unlock guild bank. Scam accounts for farming/selling and advertising gold ingame.

The achievement is tied to your gamertag and not ypur character, the very first time you played through the game you would have earned the achievement. Does not matter how many alts you start after as your gamertag has already got it done
