Agree great stuff!
What gear are you running? Obviously skill trumps gear but I've just leveled a sorc and I wouldn't mind a starting point. Im bored of the proc meta and want to try something different.
Im loving my MagDK lately as well.

I don't know if this kind of set-up would be appropriate for you if you are just delving into magic sorc. I run very, verryyy low regen. But I will recommend my old set-up I use to run a few patches ago that -still- works very well to this day. 5pc Lich and 5pc Julianos. If you are willing to farm Cyrpt of Hearts a few times(CoH version 1 is best to farm) you can acquire multiple pieces including jewelry, allowing you to run these two 5pcs in addition with head and shoulders being free to use 2pc Grothdar or Infernal, or 1pc each if you want to focus on raw magic pool. With this set-up + stacking two 1pc monster magic sets, you can push about 45/47k magic assuming you run blue magic/health food, inner light, mage stone, and maximum undaunted passive, while at the same time getting your sustain covered with Lich procs.
You may also run this set-up with a destro/resto, but will require you to sacrifice one monster piece slot for a Julianos piece.

Thanks for the tips.
I'm used to running low resources sustain on my magDK but Ill look into grinding lich.
Im looking for a high learning curve build. Thats why I made a MagDK months ago and now Im working on my sorc. I enjoy killing people using "dead classes".

If you are used to low sustain, then you can just focus purely on magic and damage sets, then use the new drink from the holiday event that gives: Max Health/Max Magic/Magic regen.
Kudos to you for having that mentality. We need more people with that mind-frame to bring back what made PvP in this game so great back in the day.

QAM you beautiful turd blossom! I know numbers are hard but you can run destro/resto and keep 2 monster pieces.
Lich - resto, 3x jewelry, boots
Julianos - destro, chest, legs, belt, gloves
2pc monster- head n shoulders
no reason to keep 5pc lich on your offense.

I moved from NY to Montana and half my crap still on moving truck. Been outta the game a while but I am def running this set up already. Almost done my lich farm.
I really had no interest smearing this build across the forums, told @Minalan to keep his pie hole shut too, but since you already opened that door...oh well. Waiting for the nerfs now.
