Unfortunately, we won't be able to retroactively grant progress toward the Plunder Skull achievement for any skulls gained between now and tomorrow, so please keep this in mind as you continue to play."
@ZOS_GinaBruno
for those not aware
On my 927 skull and literally no mask.. but I'm a low life and I don't work so I will try all day tomorrow and the next day and the next day. I haven't slept for 5 days. #onastreak
It's their first long-term event, so I can understand some hiccups.
But I don't think the event needs to be extended - the skull collection is an 8 hour grind at an average of 5 minutes apiece. Collecting on 12 characters would require 96 hours. There's approximately 456 hours during the event, so that would be roughly 21% of the time spent collecting. Put in perspective, if you got 6 hours of sleep a night that's 114 hours or 25% of the total.
There will still be plenty of time to finish the event on a character or two that will use the title actively. But completing the full slate just to have them seems fiendish. Especially if they just repeat the event verbatim next year.
That said, it would be totally cool of ZOS to toss in an orange dye as a thank you for your patience. Maybe not 100 Pumpkin Orange, but something like 89 Pumpkin Orange which is only like 11% less awesome and like a B+ on an easier grading scale.
