They can inflate the prices of their items by purchasing literally everything that's under what their price is, and re-sell it for an inflated price. They even have dummy guilds acquiring guild traders with basically no items to speak of for sale, just so they can keep other guilds out of "their city" so they don't undercut their ridiculous prices. But, ZoS pretty much made this happen when they allowed the PC to console account transfers, so this is because of them.
Oh, and by the way, that dummy guild I spoke of has ONE page of items for sale and every single item is being sold by the same player.
He can not sell more than 30..

i get eso is players driven when it comes to the guild stores ect but this is why i dont like it players driven people can just screw the prices rich players can do anything to the market and screws over everyone else i get people like players driven ect but this is what happens imo there needs to be a min and max price for all items and you can sell them within the price range what is reasonable so rich people cant screw everyone over and just overall prices will be a decent price across the board yeah its not as good but it help out alot of the people and yeah selling for telvar would be nice also id love to see that but then you will have people complaining who dont have the dlc even thos it would be much much better and actually make people go farm ic would be great imo but there is always them people
Xbox Na economy is BS, and the whole "Go farm the mats yourself then!" Answer people keep giving is just bs. Traders are their for when you need something you can't get or don't have time to farm. OP Clearly doesn't need your opinions on how ya feel about the younger generation or how to grind a month worth of mats to refine and upgrade 1 damn set.
The trader are being controlled by a small group of players and is getting ridiculous. You even hear them talking in game chat that their buying all mats, you just go to them, trade and say the price. All day in Stormhaven just buying everything they can get their hands on. As soon as mondays rolls through priced get jacked even higher. The entire player base should be running the economy, not 1-2 guilds.
Is not only mats either, this weekend alone Agility Robust rings went up from 35-40k each to 120k minimum. Viper weapons are 350k minimum on sharpened and the shields on any traits can't find anything less than 500k. This kills any new player that gets to 160CP and wants to try out builds. Not everyone can farm for countless hours to get a few items they need, some people just don't got the time. Trader is their for that same reason.
Do you really believe a handful of players have power over an entire Xbox NA community?
Your welcome by the way.Ron_Burgundy_79 wrote: »Do you really believe a handful of players have power over an entire Xbox NA community?
Fixed and yes. A small group of players control the majority of the large guild traders. This allows them to set the minimum prices for many items such as tempering alloys.
Farming is a solution, but it's not always viable for people with time constraints. I chose to farm and seek out the help of some guildies last time I wanted to make some gold swords.
This game is a massive RNG grind.

It's been over a year we are all at same cp 531 and many xb1 players have way more gold
Sounds like they keep inflating the prices cause people are dumb enough to keep buying and paying.

Some guy: did you see someone just sold a TA for 25k?
Some chick: really, no way. I'm gonna try listing 8 for 200k
Some guy: that's crazy expensive
Later...
Some chick: guess what! Those TAs took 3 hours to sell at 200k!
Some other guy: really? I'm gonna pull mine down and relist for 25k
So as much as you'd like to believe it's a conspiracy, it's just plain free market dynamics. As a seller, why would I list for less money if it will still sell quickly for more money? That just goes to show that the old price for TAs was deflated. And the price will continue to go up until they stop selling quickly. Once they stop moving quickly, people will start discounting them to get them to move, and we'll reach a new equilibrium price.

Why not just let us use gold to buy these from an NPC vendor? This problem is there on PS4 too, just relatively to a lesser extent.
If they let us buy gold mats from an NPC vendor (even if it's only on weekends from the Golden guy in Cyrodiil), it'll at least price fix the mats.
Cause then if you try and sell em for more than the vendor price, no one would buy it from you..
I think an npc vendor would be cool in cyrodiil so you could buy with ap, gold and tel-var, but my only concern would be what zos would list them at. I mean just look at how they ended up pricing that trash set gear lol.danielpatrickkeaneub17_ESO wrote: »Why not just let us use gold to buy these from an NPC vendor? This is the best idea BY FAR. A global auction house would result in an even worse situation because the power buyers wouldn't have to bother to look around for random low handing fruit.
But ... if there was an NPC vendor who sold tempering allows for, say, 10k each, the power buyers would be SOL.

True about the saved up AP...I guess I'm just dying for something to spend my AP and tel-var ondanielpatrickkeaneub17_ESO wrote: »Stoopid_Nwah wrote: »I think an npc vendor would be cool in cyrodiil so you could buy with ap, gold and tel-var, but my only concern would be what zos would list them at. This is true but the price has gone from 8k to 20k to, from what I'm reading 25k, already. Who says it won't be 50k soon?
ZOS should just throw a vendor up. 10k gold or 100k AP sounds about right. Both are achievable with 1 normal day's work. Just like how farming an unrefined stack is about a normal person's single days work.
Word to the wise though, there are MANY people who are sitting on millions of AP. Offering them for AP might actually make them worthless. I say we stick with gold.
