Yeah Xbox NA is out of hand. Dreugh Wax is closing in on 10k, even Rosin is at 8k. And alchemy mats... Columbine and Namira's rot are both around 1k per mat. It hurts.

What is the price of raw materials there?

On PC/EU the raw materials currently sell for higher price than what you gain from refining them, so its profitable to sell raw mats instead of buying to refine and sell gold mats from. The last 30 days the price of:
Rosin went from 2-3k to 4-6k
Alloys cost went from 8k to 9k-13k
Wax went from 6k to 7.5k-12k
Columbine went from 350g-500g to 45g-600g
Namira's Rot went from 85g to 150g
Lady's Smock went from 170g to 250g

What shocked me was prices on poison flowers went down to bottom, while common writ stuff and pvp & stamina potion prices went up to double or triple.

Nirnroot 30g-45g is now up to 70g-180g
Dragonthorn 17g-27g now up to 60g-170g
Wormwood 17g-23g now 71g-84g

i always have to laugh when i see posts like this the economy dont matter go grind the mats it really doesnt take long to get yaself enough temps and dreugh to fully legendary a suit (tanks dont need to go legendary other than the shield if u spent cp right) this is just anouther post from the entitlement generation ... u think the grind for temps/dreugh is bad u clearly never played swg and ground out jedi now that was a grind that could take 7-8 months of 5 hour days to get....

ultimately if thats what it cost and im guessing you being the entitlement generation then thats what u have to pay .. get over yourself go put in some work or pay the price


u want to know a tip here it is last week i respeced 11 of my toons to have 0 crafting the 12 was full i spend the entire week running just lvl 1 writs ... yest i turned all those writ maps in ended up with about 1k of each mat ore jute maple .. refined them this is what i got 14 dreugh 17 temps 12 rosins

so what took 7 hours of work total including doing the writs earned me a rather epic sum of gold .. 48k a day from the writs (all my toons are cp capped)

not to mention the money selling the legendary earned me ...


and befor u moan about 12 toons etc etc it took me a total of 75 hours to lvl those 12 toons to endgame so head to wrothgar public dungeons befor it gets nerfed in the next update

Grinding isn't the issue. The issue is a very small group of players owning pretty much everything that matters. They can inflate the prices of their items by purchasing literally everything that's under what their price is, and re-sell it for an inflated price. They even have dummy guilds acquiring guild traders with basically no items to speak of for sale, just so they can keep other guilds out of "their city" so they don't undercut their ridiculous prices. But, ZoS pretty much made this happen when they allowed the PC to console account transfers, so this is because of them.

Oh, and by the way, that dummy guild I spoke of has ONE page of items for sale and every single item is being sold by the same player.

1: selling them for tel var still requires grinding

2: I played a game called pirate101 you may have heard of it before and might think that's a children's game, your not wrong but the bis gear for that game requires way more grinding then any game you've played, getting top gear took my clan(Undefeated CvC record) over 2 years of playing 12 hours a day, even still after a year of farming I have yet to get shoshos kit, an item locked behind a half hour dungeon with a loot table diluted by 100's of other items, every loot table is diluted like that. Did I mention this bis gear is only wearable by 1 class, there are 5, I know a grind thank you very much

3: I'm assuming you're apart of another generation so yes call me the entitlement generation, it's not like your generation helped **** over the world

I've quit playing it competitively because of the broken loot and pure luck PvP

Cant complain it goes both ways. Somtimes you may have to shell out some gold or put in the farm time for that gold quality matz. Nothing should just be givin to you. Also its not our fault you dont think the grind is alive cause thats all this game is grinding. Also remeber they spend hours farming these matz so if they think their temps are worth 30k then get over it, buy them , or go farm your own. Sounds like your just mad cause your having a hard time getting you gear to a higher quality and thats not our fault that you dont have the time or resources to collect or obtain the matz you need. THIS GAME IS/WAS ABOUT THE GRIND.

You can find alloys for 15k but you REALLY need to search all over Tamriel. Sticking to the main hubs won't save you gold at all.

• So you spend 7 hours grinding to get enough improvement materials to upgrade 3 items - a full set would take you around 12-50+ hours more because of Kuta.
• 48k gold reaches about 1 gold temper according to OP, on XBox/NA.
• Refining raw materials to gain gold tempers require that you have minimum 1 character that have 3 skillpoints used in refinement perks in Blacksmithing, Clothing and Woodworking. If you do not have that 1 character that is levelled in these crafts, you will not obtain gold materials from refinement. To do this successfully OP have to lvl up crafting first...
• to sell tempers or raw materials fast for a steady income he has to join a trading guild. Trading guilds kick members who aren't frequently online - so in case he works or goes on holidays he will have to find a new trading guild to sell from, next time he returns to the game.

Your advice is not bad, but you remove all focus from your advice toward your insult upon a whole generation and accuse OP for being entitled, while you spend 7 hours a week grinding writs in a computer game.

This is a video game, not a job. People have every right to complain about players creating monopolies and charging the little guy tens of thousands in order to just experience the game a little better.

Also, if you're going to be passive aggressive to people, you might want to brush up on your grammar a little. Wouldn't hurt.

The next update is just around the corner, there will be an influx in yellow mats. Prices will drop and since everything scale, not having to have a dlc for max lvl mats will help a lot. Just wait a little longer, let little kids have they fun now.

I was in Wayrest last night with some guy ranting about the cost of items in guild traders. I couldn't help but laugh. Its inflation. If you don't like the prices for something don't buy it or go farm it yourself. Pretty simple. If I can sell an item at an over inflated cost its not my fault. Xbox Na economy is BS, and the whole "Go farm the mats yourself then!" Answer people keep giving is just bs. Traders are their for when you need something you can't get or don't have time to farm. OP Clearly doesn't need your opinions on how ya feel about the younger generation or how to grind a month worth of mats to refine and upgrade 1 damn set.

The trader are being controlled by a small group of players and is getting ridiculous. You even hear them talking in game chat that their buying all mats, you just go to them, trade and say the price. All day in Stormhaven just buying everything they can get their hands on. As soon as mondays rolls through priced get jacked even higher. The entire player base should be running the economy, not 1-2 guilds.

Is not only mats either, this weekend alone Agility Robust rings went up from 35-40k each to 120k minimum. Viper weapons are 350k minimum on sharpened and the shields on any traits can't find anything less than 500k. This kills any new player that gets to 160CP and wants to try out builds. Not everyone can farm for countless hours to get a few items they need, some people just don't got the time. Trader is their for that same reason.

This crap is just getting stupid now especially since the lowered how much gold mats you get from refining.I refined almost a 1000 silk,ingots and 200 scraps and got 2 temps,3 wax even if you farm the dam mats you still don't have a chance at getting the mats you need its stupid.
