nah man not trying to say templar were at a dissadvantage as a WHOLE....cause, haha...we're deffinetly AWESOME right now. and don't get me wrong, we CAN equip a staff and be pretty darn effective in PVP, but it would be NICE to not have to sacrifice so much of our awesomeness just to equip a staff. mag DKS are REALLY hard hitting with a destro staff, sorcs pretty much rely on staves, with a few niche playstyles using DW, and NB's are really good at using stavves and DW. biggest problem with a ranged magplar is, shock destro skills are superior to vamps bane and dark flare (reason i say DF is because it's damn near impossible to hit a stam player with dark flare, MUCH easier and safer to use shock skill). vamps bane? weak and you're only reapplying the dot, not adding a new one on top. templar are really good at DW and sweeps, but i would love to accually have a MAGICK weapon to regen magick and have use for my light attacks (you know...like stam players have, and sorcs have, and those NBs and DK build i talked about?). right not, i can put a destro staff on, using my typical melee set up, but lose out on the extra set bonus and 200ish spell power...not worth it, i'm only calling for it to be a decision...and not be a "what the hell bacon? why are you using a destro staff bro...fkn noob".

It's not like its a regular production server. Before this patch was about to go live did anyone really care about the PTS?

I say take your time, do it right. No rush.

Every time there's a major update coming to the PTS people go nuts with anticipation. This one is no more or less than others. A lot of people also care more about the patch notes than the actual PTS update, because not everyone actually has the PTS installed.

Patch notes give a general idea of what they are going to do, its why we are wanting to see them!

Unless the issue was a heart attack of the guy writing the patch notes, you could post them ...is fine if the patch is not ready, we just want to potes.

Good thing I've got the day off tomorrow!

I'm sure the PTS will be up by then...and the MUCH anticipated Natch Potes will be be ready as well.

All good things will come to those that wait...

And if not, I'll just hop in my truck in the AM and go steal them from @ZOS_GinaBruno 's laptop

Don't worry Gina, Even though it's only a 3 hour drive....

I'd just as soon wait for everything to be ready, than get the wrong info!

Well, they have people that are most likly working on getting the pts ready as they do the PAX west event I imagine some point tomarrow pts will be ready. Maybe even in a few hours from now.

Definitely they are working and may be its done (Zenimax Team is technically competitive, none of similar issue has ever taken such long time. I am from software developer background can see how level scaling can be difficult to handle in dynamics environment like ESO and they achieved successfully and delivered Orisnium/IC/Trails etc.), but holding till event hits, its important as they may be wanted to give Dueling Information first in the event..

I hope PTS will go live in few hours so i do not have to wait till event concludes...

I think, it will take more than 12 more hours for the patch notes to show up. Gina said we would be getting an update later, but the actual patch notes.

i dont know... ok PTS has an issue i understand that...

BUT their excel has an issue too???!!!...At least they could share PATCH NOTES ... There are thousand of people here waiting they have work also....Personally i wake up 6 am to go to work and i waited till 2 am ...And some other think i dont understand that they are making patch notes why the last seconds they should be ready before days or hours already.

They don't want to publish the notes until they fixed the issue... What you think will happen if they have to leave something out of the patch due to this problem while it is already mentioned in the patch notes??? That would cause another round of whining and complaining on the forums...

This is a situation where they never can do it completely 'right' for everyone.. I think we can wait a bit for the patch notes until they're done with the patch, it is really not a major issue to wait a little longer...

I think the problems are being caused by dueling. In America it's OK to just go out into the middle of a dusty street and shoot it out.

However when ZOS came to load the European megaserver they fell foul of the EU dueling directives. Firstly there is the dueling glove already mentioned by Khajiit, then you need seconds and witnesses. There is also a very formal procedure and things must be done correctly.

Add all this into the dueling system and checking for compliance is going to take at least another day.

They don't publish patch notes until they are sure things actually made it on the server. Imagine them publishing notes, then something (else) goes wrong and only half the stuff has been implemented. That happened before and it's how they've been doing it since then.

That said - I can't wait to read them

What he means is, they'll see what the situation is at 1500. If it doesn't look good, then they'll probably have to push back to Monday, because it's not a good idea to drop something like this late on a Friday, as it means that if something goes wrong, they can't respond over the weekend.

(Then again, this is the PTS. It's supposed to be the place for things to go wrong!)

Basically it says: let's see where we're at at 1500 (3 pm cet).

and the image hints at that they won't open pts at the last moment on a Friday, so if they're not done by then, it might just be Monday.....

Im really at a loss why they cant post the darn patch notes.

I understand there can be tech issues in regards to getting the patch on the PTS, but we know they have prob already typed out the patch notes, they just havent released them...
