Fix Malubeth

    Fix the slowed movment speed, fix cloak, fix lag, fix gapclosers, fix willows path, fix clouding swarm.

    All of these things have been mentioned in several comments and threads.

    None of them are fixed or working as intended still.

    Don't hold your breath for malu fix :neutral:

    What are you even talking about? What build are you talking about?? Are you saying Malubeth is a counter to Xv1, rootspam, jesus beam spam, debuff stack, and cheesey ganking and thats its ok because it balances out? Sure its a counter to debuff stacking ill give you that one lmao but it is in no way a counter to these insane damage burst that youre talking about. Thats what heavy armor among other things is for. Also, your math doesnt even make sense. Youre just spouting nonsense. Explain how anyone could get 8k vigor ticks and 18k Bols without malubeth please. Go ahead, i really want to hear it lol.

    Heres how it works, assuming my Vigor ticks for 4k (without battle spirit)
    Healing done bonuses come from Major Mending (25%), Precise(20%), and Quick Recovery(20%). So thats 65% bonus healing.
    So 4000*.65= 2600. So my new vigor heals will tick for 6600. Now lets not forget about Vitality (healing recieved). Since 6600 is what i will be recieving... then 6600*.08= 528. So my final heal after all is said and done will be 7100+ vigor ticks. Now lets apply the 30% heal bonus from Malubeth.... 7100*.30= 9230. So my final vigor ticks when Malubeth procs will be 9200+ heals PER TICK. Then you apply battlespirit in which case your vigor ticks will be 4500+.

    Heres another example with breath of life assuming the tooltip says 8k.
    Lets stack all the healing bonuses now: 8000*.65=5200. So my healing done would be 13200. Now lets do healing recieved bonuses: 13200*.08= 14200 which would be my new heal. But lets not forget about malubeth: 14200*.30=4260. So my final BoL heal would be 18460. With battlespirit, that roughly about 10k per button smash....

    These numbers are all based on weak tooltip values but you can clearly see how big the heals get. And thats also without considering CRIT HEALS which would make it even more op.

    Lag is usually so bad that I can never tell whether Malubeth just proc'd, or the other guy just managed to heal up while I was attacking thin air. I would tolerate any broken set if it meant fixing lag was prioritized.

    The Malubeth 30% increased Healing is not earth moving as such
    That Malubeth 30% as such boils down to 0.3 player more needed to kill him.

    So to the "issue" that the Heal steal is too big or not:
    The proc chance of Malubeth is 6%

    So did anybody do the Math where the break even damage is per hit ?

    If you do lower damage per tick/hit the gain of the Heal steal is bigger than the damage caused.
    If you do higher damage per tick/hit, the gain of the Heal steal is smaller than the damage caused.

    Anybody attacking the Malubeth character with "too low damage tick/hits" is only helping the Heal and sustain.
    And perhaps THIS is what goes wrong in PVP: a L2P issue of players just "helping" the Malubeth character to survive.


    So...
    Did somebody do the Math where the break even is ?

    Above question is for multiplayer combat situations.
    1vs1 duelling is another situation.

    You're aware that it's 30% more healing instead of 20%, right? You're aware that you can stack that with CP, Major Mending, and Major Vitality, right? You're aware of all that, right?

    I'm baffled that what you think the game is about makes it OK to stack 110% more healing. If my tooltip for my vigor can reach 28K and my WB can reach 14.6K then there's something obviously broken. High mitigation, high healing, high damage, high sustain. Yeah, that's what everyone has access to now. It's pathetic that this is what PvP has become. We all want everything and not deal with weaknesses. It was bad before, but Malubeth was the straw that broke the camel's back. Nowadays it doesn't take one person to kill another, because they're most of the time a stalemate. Now you need more than one person.

    So you encouraging this set is just downright ignorant. You're blind by power is what it is. I get that you're annoyed about getting zerged on, but that's not a valid excuse to be OP. Also, the game isn't about Xv1. You need to get that out of your head by now. It's XvX, and that's all it ever will be. Reason why I don't even play anymore. When I do play, it's with a group of 3-4. Solo just isn't and will never be a viable playstyle for Cyrodiil. You'll find those few 1vX fights every now 'n' then, but there's nothing to feel good about beating a bunch of <300 CP players.

    Give it the major mending buff while the beam holds or remove major mending from basic skills. Only solution.

    Best way to lure attention toward this problem - is to wear this set by yourself.
    However peoples' solutions how to fix it are making me sad.

    That would be a marginal change at best though. I guarantee you that every super tank walking around in Cyrodil isn't getting by on Major Vitality pots. It's also been said that this change would only free up the potion slot for people who do get Major Vitality this way.

    The problem is that wearing Malubeth doesn't make me stronger than someone wearing other available sets and gear. It isn't just Malubeth that is keeping me alive or getting me kills. But...those who are getting beat need something to blame. If it isn't this, then it's that. Rather than adapt their build or get better, they are asking for something to be nerfed once again. It's sad really.

    I got so much hate yesterday for wearing this set it makes me sick. Dumb zerglings and their hate tells....

    1. I run 30k resits.
    2. 2.5k impen.
    3. 35k health.
    4. Fasallas + black rose + mal (2)
    5. x3 block cost reduc enchants.
    6. 50 points in shadow barrier.
    7. Ive got 600 CP.


    I stood there tanking and debuffing 20 players. My group comes in and wipes them. And I get rage telled by frigging randoms on how im an exploiter.... You DO realise im a DK running a 0 damage build with major mending + mal + 6 heavy + perma block right?

    WHY the F is it TOTALLY OK for a VD + ULT group wipe or some dude to shuffle dodge roll x 100 but people totally flip out when they cant kill a guy in 2 seconds? I guarantee you 3-4 good players can still kill me even with those above stats. Its just stupid max damage ganking potatoes that cant deal with it.

    In a 1 v 1 most battles just end in a stale mate cos I cant kill enemy and they cant kill me? Im doing what I am supposed to do. BE A TANK. Stop hitting the dude in full heavy running perma block? Or CC and burst if u can? Nothing in this game is unkillable cos of how insane no-capped damage is. Resists are worth jack *** and us tanks have to give up everything just to be able to tank a few people for a bit. How about we DECOUPLE healing from mag/stam? So if u want to run a max damage magblade or templar or NB, when you hit healing ward or vigor, it dosent heal u for more than 2k hp? Just make the healing scale off HP + resists or something.

    STOP nerfing tanks. Nerf the damn DPS and penetration in this game.

    Wth is wrong with fasallas and black rose? They actually give true 0 damage tank support builds a purpose in PvP instead of being pointless AP leeches.

    I just don't understand why so many potatoes are coming into this thread acting like Malubeth is "fine" and that it has "plenty of counters" - you're just revealing to the rest of the community what skill-less and honor-less baddies you are.

    I for one prefer at least an attempt at a balanced game, not this garbage cheesefest that more and more people are running lately. I don't want to pour all the salt on people who wear it to play solo and 1vX, they aren't the true offenders... it's the *** magicka Templars running in groups (especially in IC) that are the real cancer.

    FFS, this circus has gone on long enough. This set is many times more powerful than Bloodspawn, and even THAT has a 6s cooldown. The beam should be Major Vitality and the lifesteal should be more like 2k, and the damned thing needs a 6s cooldown. That would at least bring it down to the level of Bloodspawn.

    I used Malubeth before DB came out. And I haven't noticed anything different about it before and after. It's always been a powerful monster set, but as I've said, there are equally poweful sets out there.

    But interesting how you come in and denounce players as baddies for using viable builds and sets.

    I used it before DB as well, and as soon as i tested it after DB, i immediately noticed something was off.
