I was stealing stuff and an NPC called me a "son of a dog". I mean, really? How old are we? Five? What's with this fear to use some vulgar language that fits the scene?
If I caught someone stealing my stuff, the last thing I would call them is a "son of a dog"...

Whenever i destroy a Nord in pvp as a Nord(Playing a Nord char) i always call them " YOU DAMN MILKDRINKER ".
Thing is after i do that sometimes i get killed in group
A question tho,
The game is rated Mature 17+ but i have not seen a single sexual Theme or Gore(Saw a little blood)... I dont understand why is that.

I agree. It's so strange to me how weirdly puritanical millennials are. And disturbing how they seem to be on a crusade against 'offensiveness' and are pushing, and often succeeding, in turning the world beige.
Moonscythe wrote: »In a totally fictional fantasy world why would they use modern American vulgarity? It would just drop me right out of the moment if someone started berating me in such language. True, son of a dog, is somewhat unimaginative but so is modern American street talk.
it's far from modern and isn't american in origin.
I saw my boyfriend play it, and he let me watch the sequences so I could watch it as a fragmented movie basically. I never played Witcher2 because it was not an open world game, but I think as soon as I get a new laptop I will play Witcher 3. It's simply too good to not play. The Witcher 3 is one of the most amazing games I've played, along with: Skyrim, Fallout 4, and GTA:5/GTA:O. Trust me, it's worth the QQ craving it. It's one of those games that you literally become attached to, and have a very hard time putting down. Some can say the same about ESO, but after a while... Even ESO gets dull. Witcher 3? Not so much. Lol. It's a game that I have to force myself to stop playing, or else I begin neglecting things of higher priority.failkiwib16_ESO wrote: »I dun care abt topic anymoar... Triss = stereotype of cute-girl-next-door, with a pretty basic and avarage personality.
Yen = strong and charismatic personality, independant and mature.
I think they're both attractive in their own way, but I'll always lean more toward Yen simply because I think Triss is more common and less interesting.
...then there is also all the history between Yen & Geralt, which I can't make myself ignore.

At least have the apocalypse wait until I can get a real Katana so I can defend myself properly, Swords don't run out of bullets
But... why would you want a Katana when you could get a sword that wasn't complete and utter garbage?

While I agree that it's ridiculous to dumb down an insult like "son of a ***", particularly when words like "***" get used, it's hardly the reason that PvE in this game is so utterly boring.Molag_Crow wrote: »It's because the western world is pretty sensitive & easily offended, so we can't even have bad language and such in mature games these days.Look what happened to one of Tracer's poses in Overwatch, for example. You don't have to look outside of ESO to see those kinds of changes @Molag_Crow ...
Of course, ZOS claims that these changes were made because the original designs weren't meant to ever be in ESO.
Those original designs, along with other, even skimpier designs in other games, are aimed at kids (in age and / or maturity). They're a sad indictment on society that standards have slipped so far that even kids TV shows have sexual content in them.
You need cussing to enjoy your game? I feel sorry for you. Not everyone feels the same way

I'd advise you to take a course in both reading and writing. That would help a lot with the whole you interpreting this topic completely wrong and making up things in the OP- thing. You clearly don't understand that this topic is not about "needing swearing" (which is a ridiculous statement you made up to increase your postcount I guess). It's about the fact that you can murder people in this game, yet there seems to be this politically correct fear of showing an inch of a boob or an npc saying "f*ck". That is what is being discussed here, but of course, I don't expect everybody to posses the capabilities to understand.
Hmmm... actually from what I remember about the matter of blades, taditionally made katanas really were pretty fragile. As in, known to shatter against bone if you don't manage an perfect cut... at least the ones forged back in medieval times, metallurgy advanced a bit since those times after all.RAGUNAnoOne wrote: »Katanas are lighter and made for fighting people without modern/midevil protection and can be more effective than other weapons against zombies which more than likely will only be in civilian clothes or less... provided it is a good one of course most of them are most likely rubbish knock offs
edit plus in a fight against a zombie I don't have to block another blade

Simmer down buddy. I'll tell you what, take some anger management classes and I'll go take a 6th grade reading course to be on par with you.
Sound good?

I'm a grown man and I like skimpy outfits and cleavage. I'm not a prude though and I don't care if I am called a pervert.

I would have thought you'd say something like 'See you in Sovngarde Milk-drinker!' after all if you killed them in battle...
ha like you have the skills the survive an apocalypse of any kind.Molag_Crow wrote: »It's because the western world is pretty sensitive & easily offended, so we can't even have bad language and such in mature games these days.Look what happened to one of Tracer's poses in Overwatch, for example. In "those times" they should not be in existence.
Actually, they're not. Katanas weigh in at roughly 4 to 5 lbs, as I recall. Which puts them at exactly the same weight as a European longsword.RAGUNAnoOne wrote: »Katanas are lighter

Honestly, my first choice would actually be that blunt longsword I've got kicking around. It's kinda garbage, but stupidly sturdy. The Type 98 Shin Gunto? No. The grip just isn't conducive to prolonged use.TheShadowScout wrote: »If you want to talk real high quality blades that came as close as you could to legends of "magical swords" in their time, you might like to look at damascus steel...
For the zombie apocalypse I have to say though, a durable weapon that does not fail you in a pinch would be a pretty good idea. So... more fire axe and less katana. Sledgehammer might be a bit too tiring to use unless you have a good deal of muscle. Personally I would really consider the katana in my replica collection last, and grab the cutlass or viking axe instead...
