Personally I don't care either way. This preoccupation with swear words seems to be an American thing to me, and they don't make or break mature content, imo.

What ESO might deserve is more actually disturbing content. Give me mythical ascension through self-harm, namiric cannibal-feasts and incestuous relationships with clone-daughters over somebody calling me a sissy.

I'm pretty sure a good majority of people stopped playing ESO to go to Black Desert, if for no other reason the "boob's & jiggle" not only in character creation but in gameplay. PHYSICS! (If the mod community for skyrim has had it for years why not ESO???)

I played BD and lasted a week. One of the worst mmo's I've ever played.

Staying on topic though, I think in some circumstances it would help deliver dialog better when doing selected quests but for the simple sake of adding vulgarity just to match the 18 rating of the game, That would just be silly. Besides I think that age restriction is there to prepare you for the foul crap that zone chat comes out with, If not it should be.

Even though they have a lot of international employees, Witcher 3 was developed in a Central/Eastern European cultural setting.
Name it precisely - Witcher3 was made in Poland (my fellow countrymen) and by Poles in the majority. Swearing is deeply rooted in our society and what differs ESO from Witcher 3 in this case is that ESO doesn't have PEGI mark "Game contains bad language". Both has PEGI18 and "Game contains depictions of violence".
Due to forum rules I can't link proper video, but if you like to listen some juicy content from previous Witcher 2 in Polish, put "Wiedzmin 2 kompilacja przeklenstw" into Youtube.
However I wouldn't like to listen similar swearing, or any from our language, in ESO.

All the more reason we need a zombie apocalypse to get rid of these mewling milksops before they turn our entire society into diaper-wearing, politically correct weaklings.

At least have the apocalypse wait until I can get a real Katana so I can defend myself properly, Swords don't run out of bullets

But... why would you want a Katana when you could get a sword that wasn't complete and utter garbage?

    Such as?
Pretty much any sword not traditionally made from pig iron.
Can't label a weapon as garbage without something to gauge it against.
    See above.
Note: any answer to this question is pure opinion, since everyone has their own.
And opinions can also be factually incorrect.

There is no, "buh, buh, buh, issmah opinion, so I must be right," exemption. It may be your opinion, but when your opinion has no relation to reality, it's not an opinion anymore.
IMO the only blade better than a katana is the Nordic Ulfbert. Problem is, you'll never hold one.

Amusingly enough, I've got a Type 98 Shin Gunto in the other room. So, yes, I have had my hands on a Katana. Several in fact. In comparison to contemporary European and Chinese blades, they're sub par examples. Beyond that, historical examples are comically fragile.

Screw up a strike with a European longsword and you'll still have a sword. Screw up a strike with a traditionally forged katana and you'll have a few pounds of scrap metal.

Seriously, come a zombie apocalypse, you'd have a more reliable and useful weapon in your hands with a fire axe or sledgehammer than you would with a katana.

It's because the western world is pretty sensitive & easily offended, so we can't even have bad language and such in mature games these days. :p Look what happened to one of Tracer's poses in Overwatch, for example. It was "too sexualized...." :disappointed:

The Witcher can get pretty sexual, and it's a massive hit.
Sex and language are part and parcel with real life, and they take it as far as they can in that game. Its great!

I dun care abt topic anymoar... I wanna play witcher 3 soon Q.Q

Triss = stereotype of cute-girl-next-door, with a pretty basic and avarage personality.
Yen = strong and charismatic personality, independant and mature.

I think they're both attractive in their own way, but I'll always lean more toward Yen simply because I think Triss is more common and less interesting.
...then there is also all the history between Yen & Geralt, which I can't make myself ignore.

Whenever i destroy a Nord in pvp as a Nord(Playing a Nord char) i always call them " YOU DAMN MILKDRINKER ".

Thing is after i do that sometimes i get killed in group :expressionless:

    A question tho,

The game is rated Mature 17+ but i have not seen a single sexual Theme or Gore(Saw a little blood)... I dont understand why is that.

If I die tomorrow I do not want to think of the game I could of played today, therefor I will play whatever I want today while securing a future to play in as well.

A true gamer will think of all the possible outcomes and execute the one that is the hardest to accomplish.

I think, either put some creativity into the dialog or use the full-strength words. If the plot of the conversation requires a short exclamation, then go ahead and use the full strength word without dancing around. The short "son of a b" phrase is the two handed greatsword that lands a blow. Replacing B with dog is like wrapping a claymore in foam padding. If they can't handle the greatsword, then use the dagger of creativity.

An example of the dagger of creativity - In tuchman's book on the calamitous 14th century, I'll paraphrase because I don't recall the exact detail...

A queen, in a snarky mood, teased one of the men of the court about his baldness, his head being so overheated by thinking that the hair can't grow. He takes the cutting jibe, and begins his reply by referencing the hair between her legs - to which she interrupts (she was thinking to derail his counter-taunt) that she has none. He acknowledges her claim by noting that of course grass doesn't grow on a well-traveled path.

The game is rated M. That's the warning, right there on the package, plainly visible.

This seems very similar to the boatload of parents who took their 8 year old children to see Deadpool, and then flipped out because the movie was like a firehose gleefully gushing vulgarity and sex and more violence than even tarantino could fit into Django Unchained. Parents flipped out and complained there wasn't a warning - but the movie is rated R, right there on the movie poster/trailer, plainly visible.

Though I have no issues with profanities being used in games, especially when the situation calls for it, I think in this game insults are fine (even without the use of 'stronger' words).
Probably my favorite in game insult was made by a Bosmer girl npc (dont know/remember her name) expressing her 'disagreement' to an Altmer who made an offensive comment to her.
I suppose she could have just called him a 'son of a b***' or even a 'f***'n moron' and walked away and this would not have bothered me, but this way just seems more suited to this particular game..

Honestly, if you've read the books, Triss' behavior in the games is downright creepy. Not out of character, but seriously messed up.

The Witcher 3 is one of the most amazing games I've played, along with: Skyrim, Fallout 4, and GTA:5/GTA:O. Trust me, it's worth the QQ craving it. It's one of those games that you literally become attached to, and have a very hard time putting down. Some can say the same about ESO, but after a while... Even ESO gets dull. Witcher 3? Not so much. Lol. It's a game that I have to force myself to stop playing, or else I begin neglecting things of higher priority.
