Lil introductionYou then are not consistent and are being a hypocrite
That's what you said in an account shared achievement thread, so why are you not following the same logic about maelstrom weapons and token while you're clearly the minority here ?but there is more people liking my point of view than people liking your point of view. So again, why shouldn't we make the change that will make game better for more players
We = Majority requesting tokens, griefers = you, it's just obvious that you're a troll here, funny to see how fast you can try and fail to turn a situation in your favor and act in a totally different way in same context and equivalent situation. We pay as much as you do and there's more of us. So, ZOS, don't listen to these griefers please. They just don't want us to have fun and want everyone to do dumb, unnecessary stuff, just because THEY enjoy it.
That's your "account shared achievement thread" version , you're totally supporting a system that rewards effort. Not at all dumb. It's the player who spent effort, not the character. But the main thing - nothing would change for you. For all you know, I DID get that title on the character you see me online with and using it. And well I did spent 100% of the effort so I deserve having that title. It's just more convenient for me and it doesn't ruin your immersion or doesn't change anything for you, so there's no reason not to change it.
Now that's your "VMA thread" version, now you're totally against a system that rewards effort , both your version are totally matching and show how much of an objective point of view you bring in your *** post...."LOL that's the problem with kids these days. They thing they deserve something just because they spend effort."
That RNG that you love so much is so well described by that pole and how much you defend/support it while we want a token system to get rid of it.You can still enjoy having a pole in your ass all you want. Why do you reject other people's right not to? We don't ask to take this option away from you. We ask not to keep it mandatory for us.
And yet you dare to come to VMA thread and tell everybody who spent hundred of hours farming that place for no reward that it's a fairly small amount of time and that it's still supposed to be fun after hundred of hours while you already bored to have spent half than what we spent in VMA to farm useless title...Why? Why should I do that? That's inconvenient and not fun. I've done it once, I want to have fun and do something new all the time.
But you're still defending that endless grind in VMA and that perma RNG because you suddently think it's fun to waste time when it comes to VMA ?And no, the purpose of the game is not to just waste time. The purpose is to spend time having fun!
But yet you're against rewarding people for being good and able to successfully complete VMA hundred of times. It's not how much effort I spend on a character. It's look how good of a player I am, how much dps/hps I can do and how good my skill is that I can complete this and that trials.

Of course, because it's not the same thing. VMA is fun. If you are a PVE player - you enjoy the endgame PVE content and vMA is just that. You get gear if RNG is on your side, sometimes you don't. You don't need vMA gear for anything, that IS the hardest and the most personal skill demanding content in the game right now. If you don't enjoy PVE - don't do PVE. If you don't enjoy vMA - don't do vMA, simple as that. But you're still defending that endless grind in VMA and that perma RNG because you suddently think it's fun to waste time when it comes to VMA ?
When you come to that thread, you just change your mind like an hyprocrite right ? and you spread *** because you're not a VMA farmer and you're afraid to be left behind by people who are able to farm it and at some point be rewarded for their accomplishement if tokens were ever added to the game.
I'm not, run it 100 times, get loot/dice roll 100 times - that's your reward. You aren't supposed to be guaranteed to get a specific item. You get score and additional roll for the weekly, you get all other loot. You are rewarded. But yet you're against rewarding people for being good and able to successfully complete VMA hundred of times.
It shows how much fake you are , you are just a troll in fact , you're like a b**ch changing his mind with no real convictions and trying to makes his arguments match his lies.
Of course you are. That distracts you from whining. Besides, you have nothing to say because that cognitive dissonance just paralyzed your brain - omg you really really thought everyone wants for everyone to have master weapons of their choice. And boom - someone spent a lot of time there too and disagrees with you.! I'm done with you !

That is still a 1/36 chance to get the exact thing you are looking for. Worse with the new traits added.

4. Give up trying before you grow so frustrated you want to punch a wall:)

I've said what I had to say and I showed him what I had to show , now believe it or not I'm probably not the most frustrated of the 2 in that discussion.
This is a thread where we are calling into question the wisdom, fairness, and health-for-the-game of the developer's intentions and design. Stating that this system is what they intended doesn't change that it's a bad system. All it does is reinforce the notion that the developers are out of touch with what a fun game should look like.Once again, those weapons are supposed to be rare. That was the intention starting from vDSA, I won't find it now, but I remember they said it in one of the articles or interviews.
I don't understand why a fun game is a game where every item is guaranteed and everyone has it. It's good for the health of the game to have some segregation between characters and for players to have different gear, not all those twin-builds that we've had.
If everyone is the same - the game becomes boring compared to what it could be.

Noone will be the same artis. To be frank I would be shocked if you got on a templar with the same gear as me and outdpsed me. Not because you are a bad player, but because I have so much experience on a templar, since I mained him since launch. Skill much more important and skill is what should separate players.

But I'm assuming they didn't increase the drop chance to 100%, just polluted the loot pool with junk traits.

ESO punishes you for having skills or investing time. In 200 vMA runs, I haven't seen a single Sharpened Maul, Sharpened Inferno, Sharpened Bow, or Precise Resto. And I know there are many people with 500 runs that haven't gotten their weapon and quit the game. I could name at least 12 that I got to know over the past 2 years that I know quit just because of vMA drop rates. 16, if you count those that quit because of the Undaunted chest drop rates.
My thread on this topic (12 pages) got ignored.
For those still playing ESO or even giving ZOS money: try Black Desert!
A loot system that rewards your effort, time invested, skill and leadership skills; capped RNG (if item X doesn't drop after Y runs, chance of 100% to get it on Y+1 run), items behind uncapped RNG are always BoE.
You're very skilled? You get rewarded. You're investing a lot of time/effort? You get rewarded. You're leading a great guild that is successful? You get rewarded.
Furthermore, better graphics than ESO, bigger world, more RP potential, much less lag, especially in PvP, and a wide variety of content, from very easy to impossibly challenging.
I know there are quite a few people that have gotten their Maelstrom weapons. Some even got them on their first run. If you're one of them, congratulations. But always keep in mind that next update it could be you who will have to invest effort similar to 500 vMA runs and still not get what you're looking for.
Maybe, just maybe, it's just time for a better game.
A big Thank You to everyone who supported me for weeks in trying to convince ZOS to end this nonsense. I've made many good friends in ESO, and will miss quite a few that, sadly, won't be moving with me to Black Desert for good.
I'm out! All the best to all of you! Even those telling me to L2P to solve the RNG issue.
We increased the set item drops in Maelstrom Arena to remove the chance of completing an arena and not getting a set piece. That was the take away from this change.
The Final Arena loot chest will drop a Weapon 50% of the time and a piece of Jewelry 50% of the time.
The Leaderboard reward will be a weapon 100% of the time AND a piece of Jewelry 50% of the time.
Hope that clears things up!

- Improved the rewards for Maelstrom Arena so now every level of the Arena is guaranteed to grant a set item.
- Note: The only exception is the final Arena on Veteran mode, which may still drop a Maelstrom Weapon instead.
Are you kidding me? So the last chest after the 1 - 3h solo arena in an MMO will still drop well-shitted helmets instead of weapons 19 out of 20 runs? And then a random weapon with a random trait? Referring to this thread concerning the live servers.
The leaderboard isn't being increased either. So most spots for the guaranteed weapons are reserved for those paying real money to cheaters on EpicNPC to run it for them and place them on the leaderboard.
@ZOS_GinaBruno So, how is this a good idea? Usually you encounter design like this only in F2P games.
This only goes for Templars and Dragonknights (even though Templars are already reaching cut-off values of 300k+). On Nightblade, you can't get a spot without a score under ~470k, which isn't too hard for an experienced vMA grinder, but impossible for almost 100% of the player base (keep in mind, only 100 players can make it!). On Sorcerer, your score needs to be 500k+. You need to be best-in-slot, very experienced, and, and this is the worst part, you can't just play the arena normally anymore. You have to skip/outdps mechanics, you can't use sigils, you can't die, and you can't afford to take the chest in every arena anymore. That's quite a lot of pressure just to get a small shot at those shiny weapons. I can see someone playing main Sorc or NB pay a cheater on EpicNPC to place him on the leaderboard.
With new spell damage weapon enchants, Maelstrom weapon is not musthave now, great change.
