Its definitely a challenge, resource management being the most important thing for me. Have no cash/crowns so have been playing without potions or food lol
Have earned some nice set items and decent exp while also getting better at the game in general, so anyone avoiding Maelstrom should go give it a shot

Lol I'm in the same boat. Finished normal on my both v16 characters, magicka Templar with no effort and magicka sorc with a little more effort (poison troll and spider stage were pretty annoying). The only really difficult part of normal MA is how much time it takes(
Tried VMA on both char, didn't get past first boss. Remembered how much time the normal completion took, multiplied it by 3 and decided that I'll pass Skye Cloude - Sorc DPS, Master Crafter. Main, the bestest

Dromede - Stamina Nightblade, she's a newb and doesn't know what she's doing
V'oghatta - Stamplar pretending to be a tank
Ulville Thonvella - aspiring Fire Mage, be careful around her fire sticks!
Dromedaris - lost and not found. Named after a shoe, what else can you expect from her? A proper tank in her wildest dreams
Swims-Naked - too pretty to grind, too silly to quest.
Sun Flair - Dunmer Templar that can't spell for life. To bad she's too broke to afford a name change... Well, at least she's pretty...2 -

pts was different from live so cant be counted you know different difficulty and template characters with maelstrom weapons etc but yeah did normal there not on live . I completed veteran on live so no egos intact but as it stands ive not set foot in normal mode on the live server.

I don't doubt you can do maelstrom on vet. Playing it on pts or live, there's no difference, it's much easier than vet either way. I'm not saying your a bad player, but if you tried it on pts and failed to complete it, you should have voted "no". Your ego can't accept that though

I don't doubt you can do maelstrom on vet. Playing it on pts or live, there's no difference, it's much easier than vet either way. I'm not saying your a bad player, but if you tried it on pts and you should have voted "no". Your ego can't accept that though
i cleared normal on pts so it would be a yes but as i said i dont count pts for the reasons listed but keep trying.

No, you still do not understand.
You can do nMA at any level. Whether it's level 10 or VR16. vMA is not about doing Maelstrom at VR level. To do vMA, you must change the difficulty mode to Veteran, and this option exists only for VR characters. The option to do this at the Normal difficulty is always there regardless of whether your character is VR.
ZOS gets part of the blame for having "Veteran" mean two separate, unrelated things. It would be better if they had simply renamed it to "Easy" and "Hard" modes instead of "Normal" and "Veteran" modes. You can do Easy MA at any level. You have the option to do Hard MA once your reach VR1 by setting your difficulty toggle to the appropriate setting.

Ive never bothered with normal dungeons. Ive only done vet dungeons. Again you dont have to be a jerk about it. I didnt know it. You made me look foolish. Congrats. Now can we drop it?1 -
