There is an alternative to this - just buy a new account on sale for 22€ - 8 slots, no extras, and just play the game plain, bank space and such just paid with gold. Experience the game as it was originally meant to be played. Never buying anything from the crown store. A totally separate game - if I want bling, I play the first account, if I don't the second one.
A lot of that crown store stuff I have is nice - but I do not need it really. I have this account with this stuff, and I can enjoy it, if I want to. But on the other side, it is asset which I have to care for. I do not really need that. My first account can perfectly support the second one and that one is just enjoying, not crafting nor anythign of that, So I do not need to subscribe.
So basically, I can have 8 slots for 22€ on sale - that is about 3500 crowns - so one slot costs me not even 400 crowns this way. Without all the bling and glitter of my first account. I kind of like the idea, to be free from all this asset and just play to have fun. What I need to store, can be stored on the first account, for all other I have enough space on the second for free.
So yes, maybe 1000 or 1500 crowns for a slot - that is generous of me - if they don't comply, then I'll buy a second account.
I play the game as I have since the first betas. So,I dont get what you mean. I simply said the prices I would and would not pay.Nothing about needing more slots myself. I do have a few things from the crown store, but not a lot.I do upgrades on my mounts occasionally, but that's pretty much it.
I play the game with a few mods lately, but in the beginning,I used none at all.I was fine with it that way.
So,from my comment, your reply to mine is kinda odd.
Nah, it isn't really - I was pondering with the price range you offered - and was giving my thoughts about this price range actually. It was not meant as a suggestion to you, but just how I get to the same conclusion about your price range.
Edit: and when I consider price ranges, I have to explore alternatives, which provide me as well with character slots. I have to consider advantages and disadvantages of it and how they effect me. I was just pondering those ideas seen from my perspective - and I came to a price of 450 crowns per slot plain, when I consider those both outfits I would have to buy twice it is 650 crowns - so 1000 to 1500 crowns, like you said, would be acceptable for the advantage to be able to use all the stuff I already have, even I do just need 2 of those.
Well,ok,I might go up to 2000 crowns, but not more. To make things way high priced isnt always conducive to profit. Give a good price and people will buy. With the topic.they'll buy over and over if it isnt too pricey. The assistants arent going that well, both due to their limitations AND their heavy prices.

It really depends how many slots I actually want and how many are allowed to add - my guess is, it will be 2 or 3 more. Now let's think about what I might do with those slots. I have no character which would be Dragonknight or Templar, so these are classes to explore. And if I want to do that with several races, well then I might hit a wall, and a second account would be better.

That is my guess as well and why I consider this actually
I'm ready and waiting to buy ~8 right off the bat. I might buy more down the road too (provided I don't leave for greener pastures). I've been begging for this since Beta and am overjoyed that it's finally confirmed and also annoyed that it took so long to do the obvious.
As for other accounts I do have 3 accounts, but since the arrival of the Champion system it's rather a waste of time to try to actively play on more then one account (aside from storage).

How do you go about getting a second account anyway? Do I have to buy the base game again for $59.00? Or just another monthly? Wont it reflect my credit card and that I already have an account with that card?

That's a bit pricey. The assistant prices were just bad, particularly when we can fairly assume they'll come up with alternatives which may suit each of us esthetically better. I'm holding back on assistants purely for the reason of esthetics. I want to have a selection before I give them 50 dollars for the convenience of an assistant. I'm still boggled by this pricing choice, and can only assume it was used to make everything else look cheap.

If you're buying the game for $59 then you're doing it wrong. The game is not even worth $11 USD anymore. I've seen it as low as $3.

I just don't see ZoS asking us to pay $50/character or anything near that, when the competitors don't even come close to that. Its like Burger King one day getting a wild hair and deciding they want to charge $50.00 for the Royale with Cheese, 'just cuz'. Some idiots (or starving people) will probably pay the $50.00 but most people will go across the street to the mom and pop sandwich shop or Taco Bell - food for thought.

I would only do that if it's the very last two upgrades, doing it for the lower ranks is just folly.
The trouble with crowns - like with any artificial form of currency - is, that people forget about what that stuff is worth. 1000 crowns equal about 6.37€ with the 5500 crowns pack, more with the others. I think that 10 bank spaces are not worth 6.37€. It is not a high price, absolutely seen, but relative to what you get it is far too expensive. Storage costs pretty much nothing nowadays and we just "rent" it for the time we are playing the game. This is as well heavily overpriced.

Why is it folly to upgrade your bank slots with a lower level char?
It's account wide,so it is there for all characters. It isnt folly at all.Just preference.I prefer to pay 1000 crowns to upgrade my bank rather than to pay constantly raised pricing to do it ingame.I mean,at one point I had to pay 50,000g for just 10 slots. And that's a bit much for me.I did pay it due to not having any crowns at the moment, but I wont pay the even higher price next time. So,it's crown upgrades for me.

So you would pay 1000 Crowns when the bank upgrade costs 3300g?

Since I sub,the crowns dont cost me a thing though.
