Healers, what's the most frustrating thing(s) you go through with every group?

PvP: Single players eating all the damage because they have zero awareness. While they may not even die, the missed opportunities can be enormous if two healers and a stamina DD (who wants to provide maneuver) are always busy with that special snoflake who's "so close to killing that guy over there"
PvE: fights that take so long, I'm sure that the DDs deal far less damage than me. This can be amplified if I see someone spammign bow light attacks and venom arror

Dear healers in this thread: if you cannot sustain you own resources, chance are you're overhealing all the time. there are lots of other soruces of healing, e.g. magicka NBs and there are some moves that can take care for most of the healing needed for very low cost (most extreme: well timed use of repentance). further it's sometimes more efficient to call out DDs that constantly get hit by stuff like steel tornado mobs early enough and tell them to stop watching tv and play the game properly

Imo, "People instantly pulling the next group" and "healers taking care of other's resources (repentance, shards, ele drain, sometimes m-orbs - okay, tbh I think tanks are better suited to throw orbs)", are extactly how efficient groups should work.
Personally, I really want my PvE DDs to go for that last bit of damage (e.g. by full spellpower enchants) and then I'll keep that drain up - I don't want to spend ages in a single dungeon.

See me being a healer I know that its my job to keep the team alive. Now if someone is irritating or being like some of the above I intentionally let them die till they realize I keep them alive so be nice to your healers ;)

What really annoys me is the players who try fulfill 2 roles. Practically this is always the healers. Healers are there to heal, not dps. Do your job. I *hate* to see beams n sh*t coming out from healer.

    My motto is this:
Always focus on your own role 100%. Then, if the party performs badly, you get say that it was other peoples fault, because you did your own job. Being a jack of all trades and master of none is burden to the group.

    I disagree too.

Just healing a pledge would be boring.

I'm more than competent enough to dps, manage my resources and watch 4 health bars.

Went into Fungal Grotto this weekend.

We had two Healers, two DPS, two Tanks. I was one of the Healers.

My Sorcerer and my buddy (the Templar Healer) are switching around gear and Skills to best maximize our efforts.
While we're both still in our menu's, the two DPS guys pull a very large group of enemies. We asked them to wait, but they pulled them anyway.

They pulled them to the Healers, not towards the Tanks... we died. Quickly.

So did the rest of the group.

Then the DPS guys asked why we didn't heal everyone...

There was quite a lot of frustration.

I totally get what you guys are saying. My healer buddies have cussed me for going "Leroy Jenkins" on bosses before. Lol

I will say this tho. If your advertising yourself as a healer, HEAL. I had to change my build, sacrificing DPS for survivability, because my healer frirnds sometimes get the bloodlust and try to DPS a little and I get killed. If you want me to hit like a truck then you do your part and keep me alive.

I get all the other stuff, stay outta red, don't stand there and let 10 dudes beat on you, protect your healer. But equally, healers should heal first. The good healers also ward, buff, and give shards and magic bubbles. We all work together as a team.

...DPS - bring your A game, amaze me with your dps and I'll work extra hard to make you shine. Glass cannons I can respect. You're a sorc with 15k HP and 50k magicka so you can hit like a Semi, I'll slot and keep a ward on you 24/7. But if you're running your special snowflake gear and hitting like a wet noodle - you're not a glass cannon, you're a chub loon. ...

That particular line just made my day! its always nice to see a well written, funny and also informative post! :)

Is it hard to drop a shard? These shards do good aoe dps after all.
Of course if that dd does good dps and plays smart (ie not standing in red and such).
And yeah, its kinda stupid that every class has access to magicka support abilities, but only templars can support stamina dds.

I was never kicked out or anything for not being a Templar healer, but I also did my best to make it abundantly clear I wasn't as good of a healer as a Templar. I'd tell them "don't count on me to save you if you're near death, I can pretty much only sustain your health, or act as a sub-healer to the real healer, providing some breathing room for the main healer to regain resources and such. It was a nice role for a bit, trying to help healers, but I was chewed out one too many times by the Tanks for not keeping them alive, So I respec'd to go full DPS, sorry healers, but I feel your pain!

People who think you need 1 100% tank, 1 100% Healer, and 2 100% DPS to do any dungeon. -_-

Having versatile builds that complement one another works fine too. But indeed having 1 half healer and 1 half tank and the rest only squishyness, will not work. So many )@(#%* full dps peops make it very hard on group formations.

So I'm a non squishy healer (80%?) that can re-allot skills to complement DPS or Tanking in a viable way. - If you ask me to full heal on my own the tougher Vet Dungeons , it won't work if all 3 others die in 2-3 shots. However if one or two of the others can heal a bit too, and that everyone's somewhat tankish, then the DPS doesnt even matter. This game hurts sometimes a lot from all the PvP Full DPS influence.

People who rush into battles without waiting for the whole group to be ready. Just because YOU are doesn't mean the rest of the party is. Someone might need to shuffle bars or Gear, or reapply Food/Drink bonuses. They might need to AFK for a few. Don't just go rushing off into trashpacks!

I can rez people nice and quick thanks to Temp Passive and Kag's Hope's set bonus. I tell people "Unless I'm dead or having to drop constant heals, LET ME REZ! The more time YOU spend rezzing someone is less DPSing or Tanking being done." And then people ignore me and run off to rez someone who dies (said someone is usually one who Leroy Jenkins'ed a trashpack or flailed out of the range of my BoL).

I can't get mad at people for moving beyond the range of my heals at times. ZOS designed the game so that a majority of the time you have to be on the move. Battles can get chaotic and it's easy to find you've wandered too far from the healer. I'm more annoyed by the poor range on a lot of our Abilities and the fact that some of the most useful are ground AoE instead of bubbles (not to mention that some of them, like Channeled Focus, are super tiny).

People who ignore me when I say to stack on me, I need to drop this Remembrance to keep us from being burned. Then get yelled at when someone complains about lack of heals. Sorry friend, there are times when spamming BoL is too inefficient and I'm not going to tear through my Magicka to keep you alive because you feel the need to derp around in red.

Groups where you literally have to toss down BoL every second or two because your teammates' HP drops by 1/3 or 1/2 all the darn time. It's like...please people, upgrade your armor, or invest some Attribute Points into Health, or get some Health Glyphs, or use potions more, or use a Food buff, and for the love of all that's holy slot self-heals if you have any! Being self-sufficient so I can toss out a bit more utility or support is much appreciated and can really help out.

I speak for every healer in PVP when I say this, but ya'll should be protecting us like we're your kids. If your not a healer and you see your healer getting Amubished or Wrecking Blowed, you need to turn around and get the enemy off of us.

Whatever you are doing is not important, you should stop killing the enemy and always assist your healer. This is how you win fights period.

And us healers should know not to be on the front of the lines healing, we need to be in the back and next to a bunch of bodies that will hopefully shield us. 1.0

I am sorry, if you were 2 Healers in group, inside the dungeon and the Damage Dealers jumped in, then the Tanks were probably left out - because you can only be 4 people in Fungal Grotto.

I've lately pugged dungeons as a DD, when i got to play on a better pc, and to my experience most healers are horrible healers, the templars just have it easier than the non templars.

If I get a healer that actually just heals every now and then, I get to feel lucky. I stopped wearing spell damage enchants and switched to cost reduction on all 3 jewelry, to somewhat sustain my magicka pool, as I usually get 0 buffs, siphon spirits and orbs from pugged healers.

The worst healer I've run with was a stamina based healer. -.-

Oh and one more thing, what bugs me MORE is as Templar healer, someone WHO INSISTS on 'off-healing' by wasting mana on junk like the red bubble resto ward during a fight instead of DPSing.

Either myself or another DPS (sorcs usually) will have the lowest health in the group even at full health, and I have us covered, so unless you are using a resto for your weaves (I believe resto weaves are still parsing higher on NBs anyway) please leave resto skills alone when DPSing and just DPS.

I don't need you to help heal and you don't see me trying to DPS when you're dying so just leave it.

About Repentance - when I see there is Templar healer in the group, I leave it to him, but if I feel like there is a good time to use Repentace I will use it. I won't let you die, but if somebody would appear as a paper tank for me (there are guys out there - mostly from the PvP fraction - which think you just need to grab a shield and a sword and stand before the boss in dps equip), there is no kick necessary, I would maybe finish the instance, but maybe leave on my own.

Actually it's rather difficult to let someone die in a game with an "intelligent" healing system :-)

well i have to add my first character is a argonian templar healer let's start with that before the haterain starts. when i tank on my dk i often have to wait so damn long for a freaking heal it's really annoying and i will comment on that. if i have to wait 10-15 seconds for a heal when i poped dragonblood 3 times and i still don't get healed then i am wondering wtf the healer is doing. sometimes healers are more dps then actually watch my health. THAT's the most annoying thing when you get wiped because your team isn't paying attention.
