There should always be a way to opt out of this kind of stuff, ZOS offers no way to do so...even if you hide the message once as soon as they change something in the store, its back...thats just ridiclious....
@RinaldoGandolphi Just want to be sure. You do understand this pop-up doesn't happen every time you log in right? Once you've closed it, you do not see it again until they change something in the crown store. So this is going to pop up.. what, once or twice a MONTH? It's not like Zos changes the crown store daily.
I understand it and I still think interstitials are rude. I don;t tolerate it on free websites by using ad blocker so why would I tolerate it in paid content?
I get that I have the choice of deal with it or leave the game - but before I leave the game for the 3rd time, I want to at least say something about it.

Just to confirm on this end, we indeed do not plan to continue with in-game messaging for items such as this (though we will still message if the server is going down, for example). We understand this was not appreciated or desired, and will find better ways to message limited Crown Store items that do not interfere with your gameplay experience.

Hey there folks,
Just to increase the visibility, we have confirmed that we will no longer be using the server announcement platform for advertisements in this post. We want to sincerely thank everyone for providing constructive feedback about this, as it helps us continue to make improvements to the world we all love to play in!

We don’t plan on doing the in-game messaging anymore. That was, honestly, just to get the word out about the Senche-Leopard due to the very limited amount of time it was being offered. We heard our players loud and clear that they didn’t like the in-game messaging, so it’s gone the way of the dinosaurs. We’re working on better in-game messaging about limited-time offers and sales that aren’t as intrusive.

Doesn't matter if its once a month or once every 10 years..the choice to see it or not see it should be mine! The choice should always lie with the user, it should never be forced.

I only have my period once a month too and don't want to have to do that, either. There are lots of things I have to do once a month and I don't wanna do those either. :-P
You're misrepresenting what they said. It's actually easy to see where what they said isn't what you thought they said, because you provided the quotes that show that they didn't say what you're saying they said.*RinaldoGandolphi wrote: »this is a HUGE betrayal of trust by ZOS...they promised us they would never force Crown Store advertisements on us again...remember when they had that big text ad awhile back then they removed it and ZOS got on here and apologized and promised they wouldn't do it again,

Are you completely sure that ZOS didn't do exactly that? I've seen no proof that they didn't ransack people's houses and kill their dogs! This was the first time I've seen it, and the first picture was of the goat pet which I'm sure a lot of people are happy to see. I doubt this will be a regular occurrence as well.
Why are people acting like Zenimax ransacked their house and killed their dog?

Really? You're actually trying to claim that a one-time pop-up on login that you can instantly get rid of with one click isn't better and less obtrusive than having big yellow letters pop up right in the middle of your screen over and over multiple times while you're in the middle of playing the game, along with a sound to announce them, and with no way to exit out of them? Are you kidding me? How is replacing an in-game message annoucement with an in-your face pop ad you can't turn off and your forced to look at in any way "better and unobtrusive"?

Because the thousands of other people who didn't care about the popup saw the whining in the title and decided not to click on it in the first place.Oh yeah, and more agrees on my post than on any of yours so there you go.
