Theres no personal issues with the players - have said it countless times, theres tons of good players in those groups. Its the game design we are all forced into.
May have missed it - but dont think there was much name calling or anything like that?
Hope its not taken negatively - although put like that I can see how it is. What I mean to stress is the mindless portion - and its not because they dont have a mind to use. Its because theyre forced into that to win - we all are.
Like I said on there though, the next step is for @ZOS to step up and communicate. If they have no interest or plans to ever work on bettering the PvP instead of putting performance bandaids on issues rather than reworking balance issues and putting incentive/design restructure in to change things.
Theres long term solutions and short/mid range ones. The mechanics stuff are things that can be attacked before EoY. Other stuff will take longer. If theres no interest from @ZOS - what are we supposed to do though. Its getting worse each patch and theres little to no place for smaller groups in Cyro. Its never been as bad as it is now for small groups.

I know. I don't even understand how hey do business. This MMO, especially this title, could have been huge. Could have dominated PVE and PVP. There is nothing else better for the last two years.
Why would you turn your back on such a large customer audience. I don't get it. They have the money. Hire some damn people that ACTUALLY PLAY the game for a living, do a roll back in pvp, and bring people back. Go to before lightning patch and remove AOE caps.
At this point what do you have to lose in pvp land? It's free and I doubt there is much crown store purchases aside from exp scrolls from pvpers who are leveling other classes that are OP.
Who knows though. They probably keep it unbalanced on purpose so players do exactly that

If they made each of the six towns captureable -- with some benefit for owning -- that would add so much dynamism to the map. Should be no.1 on their "add to pvp" list (or at least close to the top).
And why ffs can I not walk across the bridges into IC? Why are the the IC zones not captureable? Put scrolls in the WGT! Make me scale the damn tower destroying my enemies to get a seventh scroll. I swear the PvP team has no vision.
sigh.....

I was annoyed by Crown for the entirety of that podcast. I don't know him, never fought him but listening to him was painful because he could never tune down the ego enough to allow a discussion to not be centered around him.

Theres no personal issues with the players - have said it countless times, theres tons of good players in those groups. Its the game design we are all forced into.
May have missed it - but dont think there was much name calling or anything like that?
I understand it Fengrush. I get your frustration. You did call them mindless A-holes or something. I know it was just your passion
You can tell the level of professionalism in this podcast when the hosts are doing this sort of thing. You show your audience common decency, or else the whole production is a farce.
I was annoyed by Crown for the entirety of that podcast. I don't know him, never fought him but listening to him was painful because he could never tune down the ego enough to allow a discussion to not be centered around him.
It's hard for me to add anything else new to the discussion really. Without a ZoS presence and any sort of feedback its a divided community inbtheir own echo chamber.
Crown is one of the most important PvP players for AD and leads raids full of its best players. He is amply capable and intelligent and whether you like it or not, his opinion does matter. Those of us who play with him and know him respect him.Darnathian wrote: »Darnathian wrote: »Darnathian wrote: »Darnathian wrote: »Liked most of the technical aspects of the discussion. However, still overall a biased assessment of PVP overall towards small scale pvp. This game was not designed for that.
I think it´s fair to be a tiny bit biased towards smaller grps for cyrodiil pvp (it´s not even about smallscale just viability of small grps in every situation). People want to be able to play largescale pvp and do that with a smaller grp.
Largescale pvp has nothing to do with grpsize in general. It has in eso because game mechanics give huge advantages for stacked up players on one spot (and having all players in the same grp makes this easier).
I agree with you 100%. It's the distain they show for others who play with what tools Zos gave them that they could do without. Trust me I undergsand frustration with this game. I did /played when I cancelled my subscription and I am pissed. I truly loved this game and it has kept me around longer than any other game. Its in a sad state.
Anyone who disagrees has not been here since launch. Anyone who says it's not dying has not been here since launch.
The video Sypher shows at the start of the stream is exactly what sold me to this game. THAT was largescale PvP, without the stacking, with decent framerates and latency.
The disdain towards ball groups comes because of their effect on server performance. They ruin the experience for others, not necessarily because most people don't stand a chance, but because the game stops working.
I am with you! That why I am here too. But, this is competition for a lot of use. We want to win. If that's the. Set way to win by using those abilities then of course they use it.
They are playing the game they saw in that video. However, they play way more organized

What I think of Crown doesnt matter. What does matter though it that they deleted a post of his because it contained the F word in an image of a *** magic the gathering card.. (I thought the post was a bit nerdy, even for me but that's not my point.)
This podcast is full of F bombs. Straight up calling devs "inept" and saying that they "dont know what the F they are doing" etc. "Devs" are now all up in this thread praising it. Granted, I agree, but their "code of conduct" translates to "whatever we feel like, whenever we feel like it".
Hah, man, Fengrush went full-on Hulk. But that's passion for you - I'd have been the same. I'm just so frustrated with the lack of small-scale PvP, and push towards complete and utter zergballs.
Do you know what I did tonight? Go on, guess. Give up? OK, I did PvE. Yeah. I said it. I logged into Cyrodiil for 15 minutes, and in that timeframe got stampeded on twice in DIFFERENT areas. They are everywhere. I can't go to the toilet without getting zerged. It's ridiculous.
So yeah, I went back and finally completed the second and third Harborage quests. And you know what? I liked it. I was facing 2-3 enemies at a time max. It was a breath of fresh air to be sure.
Yes, I'm angry, but at least Fengrush has Lefty to console him while I have no one.

Yet here you are all grown up on the podcast breaking the game down like you awaiting the noble peace prize. Mr. Richard looked like he really didn't care most of the time lol. Sypher was standard Sypher. Lefty Lucy, I don't know what to say other than I hope he's ok. With all the twitching, not able to sit still, and constant sipping of multiple beverages. Fengrush again I think brings his point across with more maturity and emphasis. He knows what he wants to say and can quickly deliver his point with all the required detail without it being cutoff or becoming long winded. So fengrush needs to be on every single one of your podcasts. If you have a podcast discussing what to eat for breakfast, doesn't matter, fengrush needs to be in it.
And now I get to Crown.... I will start by saying for a guy who talked to me about biceps, your brand of yoghurt, and fresh quail egg omelettes your voice lacked the bass and boom I anticipated. But I digress. I'm going to say something probably no one expects me to right now, but I felt bad for Crown. I think whatever was going on in that chat and whatnot got to him and he had an unflattering moment. Naturally I would have lol'ed and within minutes had special forum posts whipped up for every single one of the chat perpetrators.
But I like how crown mentioned frozn. So as a one time gesture to crown (and you better believe one time) I will bestow frozn a new nickname.
Is everyone ready? It's going to blow everyone's mind! Here we go! Frozn's name is from this moment on................ Frozn Yogurt.........! *head explodes*
What the diddly silly!? Foshizzle my nizzle! It's Commander Froyo and his red ant army marching to Ales farm! Get out the cans of Raid!!!
Carefull now.. Frozn senpai is a dedicated solo/small group pvp'er.
And what exactly is it that I should be careful about?
he'll come 1v1 you with his zerg
I don't know who the hell you are or what you want from me. But never speak to me again.

No one knows who Pipsqueak Slippio is either. He's too busy hiding in stealth for gank kills, while talking a big game about his self-preceived biceps. Only to show up on the forums with a big yapper.
How did it feel for you, and the 5 other DC, to get farmed by me, and only me, 7 times in a row? Keep your dirty feet off of my Dragonclaw.
