Liked most of the technical aspects of the discussion. However, still overall a biased assessment of PVP overall towards small scale pvp. This game was not designed for that.

I think it´s fair to be a tiny bit biased towards smaller grps for cyrodiil pvp (it´s not even about smallscale just viability of small grps in every situation). People want to be able to play largescale pvp and do that with a smaller grp.

Largescale pvp has nothing to do with grpsize in general. It has in eso because game mechanics give huge advantages for stacked up players on one spot (and having all players in the same grp makes this easier).

I agree with you 100%. It's the distain they show for others who play with what tools Zos gave them that they could do without. Trust me I undergsand frustration with this game. I did /played when I cancelled my subscription and I am pissed. I truly loved this game and it has kept me around longer than any other game. Its in a sad state.

Anyone who disagrees has not been here since launch. Anyone who says it's not dying has not been here since launch.

The video Sypher shows at the start of the stream is exactly what sold me to this game. THAT was largescale PvP, without the stacking, with decent framerates and latency.
The disdain towards ball groups comes because of their effect on server performance. They ruin the experience for others, not necessarily because most people don't stand a chance, but because the game stops working.

That first video could be an argument for removal of AOE's entirely (since most if not all of the population has no access to them.). But its just opinion until someone from both sides cones with a viable strategy for implementation.

I didn't watch the whole the whole thing, skipped around and pretty much listened to the Q&A part. Everyone did a nice job even though Jules sounds like she could be a voice actor for a modern Dora The Exploerer. I like how you BS'ed me a long time ago on whisper Jules, during your very short stint on DC. Telling me how you were new to MMOs and didn't know shsnipt. Yet here you are all grown up on the podcast breaking the game down like you awaiting the noble peace prize. Mr. Richard looked like he really didn't care most of the time lol. Sypher was standard Sypher. Lefty Lucy, I don't know what to say other than I hope he's ok. With all the twitching, not able to sit still, and constant sipping of multiple beverages. Fengrush again I think brings his point across with more maturity and emphasis. He knows what he wants to say and can quickly deliver his point with all the required detail without it being cutoff or becoming long winded. So fengrush needs to be on every single one of your podcasts. If you have a podcast discussing what to eat for breakfast, doesn't matter, fengrush needs to be in it.

And now I get to Crown.... I will start by saying for a guy who talked to me about biceps, your brand of yoghurt, and fresh quail egg omelettes your voice lacked the bass and boom I anticipated. But I digress. I'm going to say something probably no one expects me to right now, but I felt bad for Crown. I think whatever was going on in that chat and whatnot got to him and he had an unflattering moment. Naturally I would have lol'ed and within minutes had special forum posts whipped up for every single one of the chat perpetrators.

But I like how crown mentioned frozn. So as a one time gesture to crown (and you better believe one time) I will bestow frozn a new nickname.

Is everyone ready? It's going to blow everyone's mind! Here we go! Frozn's name is from this moment on................ Frozn Yogurt.........! *head explodes*

What the diddly silly!? Foshizzle my nizzle! It's Commander Froyo and his red ant army marching to Ales farm! Get out the cans of Raid!!!

I am with you! That why I am here too. But, this is competition for a lot of use. We want to win. If that's the. Set way to win by using those abilities then of course they use it.

They are playing the game they saw in that video. However, they play way more organized

If it allowsess skilled players to contribute to the war effort then great! Brings more players if they can fix the damn lag

But to call them the words they do is Absolutely garbage. The first podcast was way better. This one did more harm than good in my opinion.

It might be doing more harm than good, maybe, but I think it's what all PvPers feel at the moment (not the ones in ball groups of course) and the fact that it's voiced like that is a sign that there's something wrong.
Once again, I understand people want to win. Heck I want to win too ! But if I realize that by my actions, I'm griefing the other players, I will stop, and that's how most of the people I play with feel too.

Perfect example, one of my friends has been emeperor for a couple of days. We have been wrecking face with him in the group, and the PvErs we fight don't stand a single chance. We realised this, and we realised that it's not fun for them at all, and so our emperor plays on a different character so that our enemies have a better chance, and don't feel completely overwhelmed. We now take out emp when there is a big threat to emp keeps.

If people were more considerate of others, this game would be better off. And ball groups are considerate of no one when they play the way they do, when the lag hits.

Theres no personal issues with the players - have said it countless times, theres tons of good players in those groups. Its the game design we are all forced into.

May have missed it - but dont think there was much name calling or anything like that?

Hope its not taken negatively - although put like that I can see how it is. What I mean to stress is the mindless portion - and its not because they dont have a mind to use. Its because theyre forced into that to win - we all are.

Like I said on there though, the next step is for @ZOS to step up and communicate. If they have no interest or plans to ever work on bettering the PvP instead of putting performance bandaids on issues rather than reworking balance issues and putting incentive/design restructure in to change things.

Theres long term solutions and short/mid range ones. The mechanics stuff are things that can be attacked before EoY. Other stuff will take longer. If theres no interest from @ZOS - what are we supposed to do though. Its getting worse each patch and theres little to no place for smaller groups in Cyro. Its never been as bad as it is now for small groups.

I know. I don't even understand how hey do business. This MMO, especially this title, could have been huge. Could have dominated PVE and PVP. There is nothing else better for the last two years.

Why would you turn your back on such a large customer audience. I don't get it. They have the money. Hire some damn people that ACTUALLY PLAY the game for a living, do a roll back in pvp, and bring people back. Go to before lightning patch and remove AOE caps.

At this point what do you have to lose in pvp land? It's free and I doubt there is much crown store purchases aside from exp scrolls from pvpers who are leveling other classes that are OP.

Who knows though. They probably keep it unbalanced on purpose so players do exactly that

I agree Cyrodiil needs more small man objectives. Fighting for town ownership would be hella fun. I don't know how the PVP team gets away with not changing the map/objectives for over a year, and the PVE IC grind with literally zero PVP objectives doesn't count.

If they made each of the six towns captureable -- with some benefit for owning -- that would add so much dynamism to the map. Should be no.1 on their "add to pvp" list (or at least close to the top).

And why ffs can I not walk across the bridges into IC? Why are the the IC zones not captureable? Put scrolls in the WGT! Make me scale the damn tower destroying my enemies to get a seventh scroll. I swear the PvP team has no vision.

    sigh.....

Ya know, I like this idea. Well part of it. Lets say we capture an IC city area and all the NPC's turn into Guards like Keep guards out in Cyro while it's occupied by that faction. Tint that part of the map that faction's color. The guards can still be worth TV stones, and AP can be added to it.

Just another useless idea I've had and I know ZoS doesn't care or will listen, or do anything about it. =/

Truth is I am new to MMO's, this is my first one. I've just spent a lot of time playing and analyzing it. But thanks for putting me up for the nobel peace prize and for posting Julian. Drool.

I think these podcasts were both good so far. It was also nice to get different perspectives, and Jules done a very nice job as well. Crown also put up some insights as well.

However, before they remove the AOE caps(which they need to) they need to address some serious class balance issues in this game. Im not going to finger point which classes, but its pretty glaring obvious which classes are the most powerful. I thought things would have been ironed out by now(a year+ after launch) but thats clearly not the case, and is a shame.

Juste Gandolphi Dark Elf Templar Daggerfall Covenant

Mathias Gandolphi - Breton Nightblade Daggerfall Covenant
RinaldoGandolphi - High Elf Sorcerer Aldmeri Dominion

Sorcerer's - The ONLY class in the game that is punished for using its class defining skill (Bolt Escape)

Our eyes once were blinded, now through him do we see. Our hands once were idle, now through them does he speak. And when the world shall listen, and when the world shall see, and when the world remembers, that world will cease to be. - Miraak

I don't know who he was, but for the love of god never have crown on again man. Some of the things he said were just stupid, he was obviously using the stream to try and big him self up, even though nobody knows him. Worst of all he made the stream feel cheap when he started calling people out, when people wrote stuff about him in the stream. He's obviously immature and if the stream is to be taken seriously it could do without people like him.

On another note, again a lot of valid points were made. Was so sad watching the beta footage and seeing how smooth it was compared to now.... Miss them days!

He wasn't invited because he was a nobody. He has no need to pump himself up at all, you could see that the people in chat were doing that for him anyway. I think he made a good point during the stream, that the immaturity lies in those feeling the need to spew pure hate at someone over a damn video game.

When live steaming, trolls always throw abuse at people, it comes with the job. The immaturity on this occasion was how he reacted to it.

No. These guys didn't put much effort into curbing the behavior. Aside from crap like slo-mode. You know what would do more? Maybe when you have the same people follow you to your own streams later you and your mods aren't sitting around laughing at the same trolly (and often inaccurate) jokes made by those same people and joking right along with them. You think those people aren't going to show up next time and do the same thing when they have a guest on that disagrees with them? It's one thing to try and fail to curb it, it's another to encourage the behavior and defend it with stupid "c'mon mans" when someone tries to address it.

I'm just so torn bc, you called me modern-day Dora the Explorer (LOL) and also posted a gorgeous picture of Julian Edelman. So I'm almost offended, but like, not really even.

Truth is I am new to MMO's, this is my first one. I've just spent a lot of time playing and analyzing it. But thanks for putting me up for the nobel peace prize and for posting Julian. Drool.

I got totally sidetracked regarding the point of the discussion after that picture was posted!!! Or maybe that was the posters intent. LOL

If it allowsess skilled players to contribute to the war effort then great! Brings more players if they can fix the damn lag

But to call them the words they do is Absolutely garbage. The first podcast was way better. This one did more harm than good in my opinion.

Theres no personal issues with the players - have said it countless times, theres tons of good players in those groups. Its the game design we are all forced into.

May have missed it - but dont think there was much name calling or anything like that?

What I think of Crown doesnt matter. What does matter though is that they deleted a post of his because it contained the F word in an image of a damn magic the gathering card.. (I thought the post was a bit nerdy, even for me but that's not my point.)

This podcast is full of F bombs. Straight up calling devs "inept" and saying that they "dont know what the F they are doing" etc... "Devs" are now all up in this thread praising it. Granted, I agree with Fengrush and the cast, but ZOS "code of conduct" translates to "whatever we feel like, whenever we feel like it".

Hah, man, Fengrush went full-on Hulk. But that's passion for you - I'd have been the same. I'm just so frustrated with the lack of small-scale PvP, and push towards complete and utter zergballs.
Do you know what I did tonight? Go on, guess. Give up? OK, I did PvE. Yeah. I said it. I logged into Cyrodiil for 15 minutes, and in that timeframe got stampeded on twice in DIFFERENT areas. They are everywhere. I can't go to the toilet without getting zerged. It's ridiculous.
So yeah, I went back and finally completed the second and third Harborage quests. And you know what? I liked it. I was facing 2-3 enemies at a time max. It was a breath of fresh air to be sure.
Yes, I'm angry, but at least Fengrush has Lefty to console him while I have no one.

This podcast is not made by professionals its by people who play and enjoy the game. It is a few of ZOS' customers.
But hey my viewpoint is entirely disregarded because I am a "fanboy". What would you have them do to make this podcast? Would you rather them record it and not broadcast it live over twitch? If they did that they would assuredly lose a lot of viewers/listeners. In no way defending people giving Crown a hard time but come on its the internet. I could say that Greek Yogurt is for wusses and I am sure in two posts I will be called a nancy and be asked do you even lift bro?

he'll come 1v1 you with his zerg

I don't know who the hell you are or what you want from me. But never speak to me again.

No one knows who Pipsqueak Slippio is either. He's too busy hiding in stealth for gank kills, while talking a big game about his self-preceived biceps. Only to show up on the forums with a big yapper.

How did it feel for you, and the 5 other DC, to get farmed by me, and only me, 7 times in a row? Keep your dirty feet off of my Dragonclaw.

O I see, you are trying to convince us you look like Julian Edelman. Right....

Coming here trying to tell us you are Julian Edelman in order to get a date with Jules and the other Elizabeth person here that love Edelman. But you're too [snip] to ask them out like a man. If Kortha wanted to I'd bet he could place you between two slices of semolina bread, some mustard, and have you for brunch. Further, poor old Erlexx one day had a stomach virus and what came out of him (and I don't mean through the mouth) was this Quervo Moriarty name which you decided to pick up.

You were a [snip] at character creation and you're still a [snip] now.

This thread, the past podcasts, even future ones. That's not what is important here PainfulFAFA. The idea, the concept, the points made..... They live inside of FENGRUSH's heart and mind. Wherever he goes the soul of the thread and the podcast follow....

ZOS does not need to reach out to a thread or a podcast. They need to reach out to FENGRUSH with pen and paper in hand.

Come let us sit down my friend and meditate.

*HUMMMMM!!!! HUUMMMMMM!!!!* I smell lavender and fresh citrus.
