I was annoyed by Crown for the entirety of that podcast. I don't know him, never fought him but listening to him was painful because he could never tune down the ego enough to allow a discussion to not be centered around him.

It's hard for me to add anything else new to the discussion really. Without a ZoS presence and any sort of feedback its a divided community inbtheir own echo chamber.

Fengrush, Jules, and Lefty had great comments and all showed great passion for the game!

I just want to point out that AvAvA does not = ball group game and is a horrible defense to abusing broken mechanics. It should only be easier to kill with but a few AoEs and should be a tactical blunder and not an unstoppable force of lag. A single siege or det. should put fear in the hearts of zerg balls.

I will say that on the flip side, I used to actually like large group PvP. What I absolutely hate now however is the "Ball" tactic that is 100% required now to be successful. Back in the day I was a leader in a guild of very independent yet very skilled PvPers. We would destroy groups of players many times our size without resorting to the ball up and AoE meta that is the only large group play remaining.

I think you'd find many of us "1vXers" would go back to group PvP more if it were something other than "Stay on Crown" all day.

Appreciate it. I can be very critical of ZOS and the management but it's truly because I'm passionate about the game and want to see it succeed. Also, I completely agree about the siege and det being a potentially viable tactic that can help this imbalance.

I would 100% support siege being more powerful. It would allow new players to contribute more and allow smaller numbers to defend a keep better. Siege should hurt.

Make siege do more damage and remove aoe caps = problem solved for now until they fix some class issues in 2017

I don't know who he was, but for the love of god never have crown on again man. Some of the things he said were just stupid, he was obviously using the stream to try and big him self up, even though nobody knows him. Worst of all he made the stream feel cheap when he started calling people out, when people wrote stuff about him in the stream. He's obviously immature and if the stream is to be taken seriously it could do without people like him.

On another note, again a lot of valid points were made. Was so sad watching the beta footage and seeing how smooth it was compared to now.... Miss them days!

He wasn't invited because he was a nobody. He has no need to pump himself up at all, you could see that the people in chat were doing that for him anyway. I think he made a good point during the stream, that the immaturity lies in those feeling the need to spew pure hate at someone over a damn video game.

As I said I don't know him at all. My only point of reference was listening to him on that stream and it made it difficult for me to watch personally. I could be in the minority there and meant no offense to him personally. Just providing feedback.

I have no problem with that. My issue was more that the person took that single point of reference and decided to judge his character based off of it. You can disagree with what he said and how he said it, but you shouldn't pretend to know the guy or make assumptions of what kind of person he is.

Just finished the full podcast. I think the overall discussion got a bit derailed with heated talks but overall a solid rrprenstation of the player base with the inclusion of @jules and @crown (super respect to those two! Although I think I could have gone a bit longer without knowing how crown sounds in person; my immersion is ruined! Lol)

I wish there was more open debate between the large raid format and 4vx or 1vx. The potential to really dive into how to make full raid and small groups viable was missing (if not touched on for a little bit.) I know AOE caps discussion is a start and seeing that arena action gives hope to eso for fast paced non-cyro pvp; but at the end of the day it would have been nice to hear of ways to creatively discuss implementation of both styles of play.

@fengrush touched on perfectly why the current system fails and overall it was a sexy podcast.
ZOS can't escape the fact it's player base, despite dedicated, knows this game is a cash-cow. As a business, they could of found a way to balance the marketable aspect of the game with how the game works. They are missing out on a super viable long term game that can make them money! In my line of work (lighting designer) we have equal horrible deadlines, with similar "check mark" systems yet are still expected to roll out concise and almost perfect final products, which are thoroughly tested prior to release. I think a multimillion dollar company can do the same without harming profit margins.

Overall we want this game to work for all and we are frustrated because we have, with evidence, time and time again shown its possible! All I know is that come time for fallout 4 or future titles from ZOS/Bethesda, I will be boycotting their games if this is the way they will be rolling them out.

Awesome Podcast yet again and I'm glad you guys are doing it because I feel that it is having a big impact, even if it seems pretty quiet at the moment. It is our voice, the voice of the voiceless who love PvP too, especially us on console... so thanks!

I didn't watch the whole the whole thing, skipped around and pretty much listened to the Q&A part. Everyone did a nice job even though Jules sounds like she could be a voice actor for a modern Dora The Exploerer. I like how you BS'ed me a long time ago on whisper Jules, during your very short stint on DC. Telling me how you were new to MMOs and didn't know shsnipt. Yet here you are all grown up on the podcast breaking the game down like you awaiting the noble peace prize. Mr. Richard looked like he really didn't care most of the time lol. Sypher was standard Sypher. Lefty Lucy, I don't know what to say other than I hope he's ok. With all the twitching, not able to sit still, and constant sipping of multiple beverages. Fengrush again I think brings his point across with more maturity and emphasis. He knows what he wants to say and can quickly deliver his point with all the required detail without it being cutoff or becoming long winded. So fengrush needs to be on every single one of your podcasts. If you have a podcast discussing what to eat for breakfast, doesn't matter, fengrush needs to be in it.

And now I get to Crown.... I will start by saying for a guy who talked to me about biceps, your brand of yoghurt, and fresh quail egg omelettes your voice lacked the bass and boom I anticipated. But I digress. I'm going to say something probably no one expects me to right now, but I felt bad for Crown. I think whatever was going on in that chat and whatnot got to him and he had an unflattering moment. Naturally I would have lol'ed and within minutes had special forum posts whipped up for every single one of the chat perpetrators.

But I like how crown mentioned frozn. So as a one time gesture to crown (and you better believe one time) I will bestow frozn a new nickname.

Is everyone ready? It's going to blow everyone's mind! Here we go! Frozn's name is from this moment on................ Frozn Yogurt.........! *head explodes*

Great podcast guys! Fengrush on point as always. Hopefully someone in ZOS watched it and took notes, and hopefully they are discussing it over at their office. Jules also has a lot of good points and she represents one of the best pvp guilds in Cyro atm. And I mean best as in being skilled both individually and tactically as a group. There is no room for big egos in a show like this though. This isnt about bragging about themselves, but about ESO pvp as a community that really needs some changes. There are lots of other pvp leaders and players who has potential for being in the panel or as guests, so I hope you guys will continue with this.
Keep it up! We support you

Liked most of the technical aspects of the discussion. However, still overall a biased assessment of PVP overall towards small scale pvp. This game was not designed for that. I will come back if AOE caps are removed, but not because it will make it easier for small bomb groups to stealth bomb which is what will happen.

Marks my words. Groups will just stealth up until they are right up on a group. Fast proximity det and to bomb he *** out of groups. Who knows maybe that will be fun.

But seriously, enough with the obvious hatred you all have towards ball groups, zergs, or as Fengrush put it at 28:46, "mindless A-holes."

Imo you provide the best technical discussion of the group. But that gets deterred by the 5% vocal hate you show towards a large majority of the pvp player base. And to be honest a lot of the PVE'rs. They ball up because they were forced to play pvp.

The other 95% of the time, you are the Eso PvP Proffit.

Seriously ZOS, the absolute BEST point they made was YOU DONT PLAY YOUR OWN PVP GAME. So how can you make decisions?

I guarantee if you hire these four they will work for you as consultants. It will cost mYbe like 4k a month. Lol. Chump change. And watch how many will come back if you fix the lag. Did you not read that necro'd thread? A huge portion of you pvp player base left when you put in the AOE cap. That was with paid subscriptions.

Now that I think of it, maybe that's why you are silent now. The decision makers got angry and lost confidence in your decision making abilities and pulled the keys. Just speculation.

The rest when the lag hit. It's okay to do a roll back with the patches. In pvp. Yo wi gain more respect than lose. Trust me. I have been leading 30+ people for the last 10 years. It shows character.

Liked most of the technical aspects of the discussion. However, still overall a biased assessment of PVP overall towards small scale pvp. This game was not designed for that.

I think it´s fair to be a tiny bit biased towards smaller grps for cyrodiil pvp (it´s not even about smallscale just viability of small grps in every situation). People want to be able to play largescale pvp and do that with a smaller grp.

Largescale pvp has nothing to do with grpsize in general. It has in eso because game mechanics give huge advantages for stacked up players on one spot (and having all players in the same grp makes this easier).

I agree with you 100%. It's the distain they show for others who play with what tools Zos gave them that they could do without. Trust me I undergsand frustration with this game. I did /played when I cancelled my subscription and I am pissed. I truly loved this game and it has kept me around longer than any other game. Its in a sad state.

Anyone who disagrees has not been here since launch. Anyone who says it's not dying has not been here since launch.

The video Sypher shows at the start of the stream is exactly what sold me to this game. THAT was largescale PvP, without the stacking, with decent framerates and latency.
The disdain towards ball groups comes because of their effect on server performance. They ruin the experience for others, not necessarily because most people don't stand a chance, but because the game stops working.

What the diddly silly!? Foshizzle my nizzle! It's Commander Froyo and his red ant army marching to Ales farm! Get out the cans of Raid!!!

Carefull now.. Frozn senpai is a dedicated solo/small group pvp'er.

And what exactly is it that I should be careful about?

I'm a guy, and Greek yogurt goes into the digestive system which would never affect what you mentioned. Unless of course you are eluding to having put Greek yogurt somewhere where people usually don't. Lol
