This proves again that you don't understand how economies work, be it ingame or IRL.
Selling Crown-store-only motifs would be truly P2W because crafters ingame can SELL stuff in that motif in the game. They would concretely convert crowns into game gold, thus getting an advantage ingame.
Make crown store motifs bind to the player. Have the crown store motif items bind to the player on creation. Simple solution.
Bound-on-craft..... most silly idea I've ever heard. No crafter crafts only for himself, that defeats the point of being a crafter in an MMO. Really, you're not making your case any better...
What case? That case went out the window the moment he/she admitted to never hearing of half a dozen of the best known games in the mmo industry.

This is sad really and makes me wonder when we ended up as a community that wants everything handed to them at their own price or non-price. What right does the companies have to make a single dime so they can do what they enjoy doing, in this case making fun games?
Maybe this all started when we stopped spearing the rod and started spoiling the children. Either way I really have a hard time looking and respecting this new generation. But as a grandfather I guess am just as guilty of creating these kids. Oh and you 30 or 40 year old's that are complaining about this, yes I look at you as children are old generation created.
What in the world are you talking about? You talk like you're 127 years old and are reminiscing over the horrors you saw in World War I. Normal people know when they're being ripped off. But they don't have to charge an arm and a leg to make a "fun" game. They made plenty selling the game at full price and would not suffer from charging reasonable prices for their add ons
Oh I know exactly what am talking about and know what is going on in this thread. Personally I pay the sub in all MMO's I play. I don't expect anything for free and nothing in this game is over priced because the gaming company gets to set the price for everything in their game and if you do not want to pay the sub every month then you get to pay the store if you want to keep playing it. It is people like you that expect to be able to pay what you want to play online games. You and others like you started this F2P/B2P in game stores and now you cry over it because you do not like paying for anything.
You should stick with single player games that way you will get everything you want for one price.
Oh nothing in the crown store is overpriced because like I said the company gets to set the prices in their game.
So if they charged $1000 dollars for a virtual lizard, you'd call that reasonable? Get your old World War I veteran ass out of here with that. It's people like you that get taken advantage of because they take every little piece of BS at face value

If noone buys it means it's not priced reasonably.
If at least one person buys it it means it's worth it to that person.
If a million people buy it then it means it's worth it to all those people.
Point is, YOU don't get to decide if a price is reasonable or not.
If it's not reasonable to you, DON'T BUY it. It will not hurt you to NOT BUY something, will it ? Especially since it's about a video game, and not anything important like food, shelter, education or medical care.

I say again, most of the people who pay these con artists are just giving in to their desire to have the item. No in their right mind thinks eight dollars is an appropriate price for a big ass rat.

There are a few good ones I like, but I'm not going buy a costume pack with two ugly outfits and one good one. Then 750 crowns costs $8.00, they don't even give you the full 800 crowns. And what can I do with that? Oh I can buy a virtual cat, I'm paying $8 for a virtual ass cat. Then the largest crown package costs half the price of the game, what sense does that make? Where the hell do they get these figures for value? All this crap should be between 1.99-4.99 like any normal cosmetic DLC. This is utterly and absolutely ridiculous. Get rid of the bundles and stop overcharging like this was free to play, it wasn't. You should've thought about that before you had GameStop stock their shelves with a $60 price tag.
You don't need to pay to play the game? No subscription required, and if your talking about plsystation plus, you would have got that anyway for other games.... I do agree with the crowns being overpriced, and also their fly tactics with the DLC " hey it's only 2,500 crowns but wait, you got to pay for the 3,000 pack if you don't have your enitial 500 crowns from launch"
I had to pay to get it so I had to pay to play it. We didn't sign up and get free copies in the mail.
Come on now, really? Obviously you had to pay a one off price for your copy of the game, what where you expecting it to be free?
Yes. That's the literal definition of a truly free to play MMO, Zenimax just decided to be stingy with their game.

Actually it is because how good and how educated the developer is that created it. In fact the coder is being devalued here in my opinion because he is worth a whole lot more than $8.
I know it isn't my business but what do you do and how much do you get paid to do it? Just would like to compare you with the developers that code and make this game and see if you are really worth what you do!

I'm in school for Coding myself. And again, what in the world are you talking about? Those guys have set salaries, they're not getting paid directly from these DLCs. They get the same pay no matter what unless they're fired. Reducing these ridiculous prices would not force them to layoffs.

Then when they went B2P they wanted to never pay to keep the game moving forward to fix bugs and add content. So now we come to this point in time when they scream and yell about things being too high priced. Oh and they do not like how the items for purchase are put up in the crown store.
Most of the people supporting this BS know they're being ripped off, they just give into the hype and say "it's whatever". You probably don't even know what's going on this thread.
ROFL I hate to tell you this but $1000 for a lizard will never happen. Come down to reality please because where you just went shows you are not in this current one.
Obviously I wasn't being serious. I was trying tell you how ridiculous the idea of "it's not overpriced because they set the price" is.
But I been trying to tell you how ridiculous the idea that people like you should get to set the prices. Either you live with it and go play and enjoy the game or leave and play something else. Oh and I am serious!
And I've been trying to tell you that despite all your World War II flashbacks, this is not *** Germany. Customers are able to influence how a product is sold and delivered.
Customers yes, you NO! Also because you like dissing military people have you ever been in the military and protected your country? Or are you still in mommy's basement?

BTW the Chateau d'Yquem Premier Grand Cru Sauternes 1995 is a good call for desert, and the Chablis Premier Cru "Forets" Raveneau 1998 is a good pair with lighter opening courses.
I find the 98 to be subpar, it was produced during a period of upheaval when Henry Févre sold out to Henriot Champagné and the domaine began to be run by Bouchard and it shows, it's a little "tart" and not very well aged.

If noone buys it means it's not priced reasonably.
If at least one person buys it it means it's worth it to that person.

That is wrong in so many ways., where do you think the money to pay the devs comes from? A magic bag of holding? People not buying things like this leads to a downturn in profits, which in turn leads to a reduction in budgets, which can lead to a reduction in costs and trimming of staff. You truly are a clueless person.

I'm typing this on an iPhone 6. I'm able to do more with an iPhone 6 than I'm able to do with any cheaper smartphone out there. I can't do more with an $8 costume than I can with a $2 costume. And they shouldn't be selling in-game motifs to begin with if that's something they're worried about. Sell crown store only motifs.
You can find several smartphones that outperform the iPhone for less money. Easy. Trust me, I have a dozen smartphones, including an iPhone 6.
But an iPhone is more than some phone device. It's an accessory that helps building up your identity. At least, that's what most people pretend.
The same is working for $8 costumes vs $2 costumes.
Apparently enough people feel that an $8 costume is worth the price and buy it. They don't play better, they don't have any kind of bonuses but they like to work on their in-game identity and are willing to pay mucha money for it.
Get over it. Like others said: vote with your wallet.
That's just what they want you to think. I've had several low end galaxies, straight talk "supreme" smart phones, LGs, Insignia, all that crap. My eyes were opened to the truth when I bought the iPhone 5. They all suck compared to it.
I want appropriately priced DLC or I'm quitting. Simple as that. I won't give long term support to rip off artists.

Again, they're overpricing this stuff. This is not a free to play game, they don't need to be charging that much to keep up income.
