You don't get to give a ridiculous response in a debate and then get out of it by saying "I wasn't being serious." That is trolling. If you are going to respond in a debate with answers that you don't mean, you are just trolling.

No, I said earlier that I made a second character.

I'm starting to think you people are just messing with me, because this is just ridiculous. Okay. The part about the $1000 lizard wasn't serious, I was exaggerating to counter HIS RIDICULOUS STATEMENT about any price Zenimax sets being okay.
Yeah, he spent all day ranting for a class change feature because he couldn't just go cure his vampirism.RinneganDovahkiin wrote: »Callous2208 wrote: »Hey op, you ever re-roll that templar vamp you weren't so fond of?

But, didn't you say you would never do that because you were so invested in the existing character and never made alts in games or something?

YES. I. KNOW. I. SAID. THAT. You people never let anything go. The first character I made was female and I felt that for obvious reasons, she didn't represent me well online. So I made a second male character, lucky for Zenimax.

Funny how what you think is ridiculous is so different from everyone else. Maybe you shouldn't be such an absolutist. Maybe the world can be okay, even if it doesn't pander to your whims on everything.
I got bit by accident on my stam NB awhile ago, took advantage and got level 10 in the skill line strictly for the dye, I'd never keep it even if it was good, I hate bloodsuckers.NateAssassin wrote: »Yeah, he spent all day ranting for a class change feature because he couldn't just go cure his vampirism.RinneganDovahkiin wrote: »Callous2208 wrote: »Hey op, you ever re-roll that templar vamp you weren't so fond of?

At least he's been bitten, been looking for vampires for ages with no luck on my healer

One thing that I've noticed about ESO business model is that for all the people that complained about it going B2P, few realized that by staying subbed as they always wanted, they'd get all DLC for free so it would be like being subbed as it was before B2P.
The business model is not the problem. The problem is how difficult they're intentionally making things in-game (like all the farming/grinding for exotic models) to increase their store sells. This is where people should be focusing their complaints, IMHO.

And you said you wished him to be in a retirement home. (I reported you for that by the way).
If you don't understand how inappropriate that comment is, regardless of the circumstances, then you seriously lack basic education.
Now you'll forgive me but I'm out of here. It was fun while it lasted but even the best of fun has an end, and it seems to me that all possible arguments have been exhausted in this thread, and even the few that have been acknowledged by his Majesty's the OP have been regarded as "ok, valid point, but I still think what I think and believe I'm right".
So I'll leave it at that ;-)

Chill, i'm just messing with you
So, the real problem here is that you're not willing to buy it.
Value is not a concrete thing. It's a subjective construct. And we can see it working here.
Your idea of the value of said item doesn't match the value the market has set for the item. That means you will not buy it.
Your ONLY recourse here is to vote with your wallet. If you and enough others choose not to pay the set value, then the value will lower. If enough customers pay the set price the value will not change.
ZOS is in this to make money, and if people are not paying the values listed, they will change. If they are paying that price in large enough numbers, then the value is deemed fair and will not change.
Value is nothing more than what people are willing to pay. Sorry if you are not, but it would seem that enough people are.

No they aren't. Not when I'm through. I'm starting a new movement/team called... "The Elder Sons", yeah. And We're boycotting the Crown Store.

People's opinions, I can live with. But this stupidity with the hyperbole is just completely ridiculous. I was exaggerating to counter his statement, that's it.
The game hasn't shut down yet, and there hasn't been any kind of changes lately that blatantly indicate they are short on cash. The facts would disagree with your unfounded assertion.

Then don't rise to it.
I'm going to give you some advice, please don't take any offence, none is intended, i'm just trying to help you out.
Come to terms with the fact that you have your opinion and others have different opinions, its the way of the world. If you have an opinion by all means voice that opinion, but don't do it aggressively and don't fling accusations when you do so. Your opening posts reads like an aggressive rant and you are accusing ZOS of bad business practice. You also sound as if your opinion is the only opinion and everybody should agree to it. People are going to rise to that and put you down, you're setting yourself up for it.
If you had come on here calmly explaining your position with respect to all parties without flinging accusations around and actually shown that you were interested in other opinions you would have had much more respectful responses. Hell, more people may even have agreed with you.
I for one agree that some of the items cost more than I am willing to spend, but I also understand that the market dictates the price, if they sell it too high the market won't sustain the product and they won't make money, if they price it too low they won't make enough money to keep running the game, and likewise if they price too high or low they price themselves out of the competition too, the price they have chosen is a balance between those three and we have to respect that, and that is what I am trying to get across to you.
The game hasn't shut down yet, and there hasn't been any kind of changes lately that blatantly indicate they are short on cash. The facts would disagree with your unfounded assertion.
To be honest, they have recently had some lay offs rom what I have heard, but that happens all the time in mmo development, they will finish a large project and then reduce the team, then when another large project comes along they hire more temporarily, it's just a cost cutting exercise.
RinneganDovahkiin,
Unlike you assume, price calculation have nothing to do with feelings. It's not important how you feel about it.
It's about doing your research and calculations.
They hire hotshot very expensive Harvardlike managers to do that kind of work.
With a high accuracy, before an item is dropped in the store, they already know what's the best price in the interest for ZOS.
Many people buy this unique costumes because they want to stand out from the crowd. They want a more unique online identity, they can afford it and are willing to pay the asked prices.
Too bad when $8 is an insurmountable obstacle for you.
But you could find a job, no?

Part time doesn't pay much. I could be using that $8 on a nice Hibachi Grill dinner and I am. I'd spend $2 on a mount or something, but not $8-$16, hell no.
RinneganDovahkiin wrote: »Honestly, what cheapskates. You have to pay to play the the game, yet the overcharge for their extras as if it's free to play. Have they lost their damn minds? First you overcharge for the crowns okay, that's one strike. Second, you can only buy them in bundles. Why is that a thing? Same goes for the costume bundles, why can't I just buy the individual items I want? There are a few good ones I like, but I'm not going buy a costume pack with two ugly outfits and one good one. Then 750 crowns costs $8.00, they don't even give you the full 800 crowns. And what can I do with that? Oh I can buy a virtual cat, I'm paying $8 for a virtual ass cat. Then the largest crown package costs half the price of the game, what sense does that make? Where the hell do they get these figures for value? All this crap should be between 1.99-4.99 like any normal cosmetic DLC. This is utterly and absolutely ridiculous. Get rid of the bundles and stop overcharging like this was free to play, it wasn't. You should've thought about that before you had GameStop stock their shelves with a $60 price tag.
