i want to bake @Gina some cupcakes or something..

myself included, there have been some emotional chatting going on lately about all sorts of messed up patch work.

but you always keep your cool. thanks @Gina .... and to MssBizz and Attorney... thanks for your inputs as well.

ok now , back to the rage.

and thanks for this bar thing your working on.....it kinda felt like a contradiction on ZOS part....you dont want buffs, maps, and other things on our screens ....but its alright for one bar or two to sit there out of place?..... but your working on it so thats good...

still i will def back some cupcakes let me know!

I really would just like this to stop happening (See image). The issue is confounded by the re-sizing UI bug at the moment too. Hopefully both will be fixed/reverted.

I personally wouldn't mind it so much if they moved them closer together, cause at the moment my magicka bar is half covered by chat. When i started playing i did wish that they showed all the time but then i got used to them not doing, and now they are showing they're annoying me!

Should definitley have been an option in the menu though!

    I don't care
There was no option for me to represent I never use the native UI so I picked "I don't care"

More appropriate to say that I actually DO care that I have to use add-ons to get the UI look I want, since there are so few options with the native one. Even in beta we had more options that now, so this latest change is one more example of how poorly designed and managed the native UI for this game really is.

This is a big deal to me. On console we get screwed as turning it off still pops up when buffed which is stupid. Off is off

Oh the irony of you asking for options.

Anyway, this does need to be optional. This particular problem does not bother me. That being said, I need to ensure most, if not all, UI configurations are optional so I can have my buff timers and damage numbers on console without interrupting the play of those who do not like them. ZOS listen to the people. We want information, communication and option...ation.

Edit: Changed OP to more accurately reflect my intentions.

No irony. Follow my threads. I don't want anything other than a compass on my screen. This is an issue and has been sense launch on consoles

OK, I don't know if it's an addon that I'm using, but I've noticed that this is really inconsistent for me. When I've got 3-stat food going and I'm not in combat sometimes I'll see all 3 bars, sometimes I'll see the health bar only, and sometimes none of them. This is when all are buffed by food, and all are fully replenished. It only changes when I go through a loading screen. When I come out of the loading screen maybe I'll have all of the bars visible until the next loading screen, maybe just one, and maybe none.

Furthermore, I consider that collectibles must be bankable.

I'm wondering if it might be Azurah that's doing it. But it's unreliable as to when it does what...

Hey guys, thanks for all your feedback. We are looking into other options for this, and will let you know when we have something nailed down.

Leave it up to ZOS to give options to the PC race, but not the console.

I play on console and I like the fact they health bars are there, it is the only buff timer i have. But they should make it optional.

    and p.s.
It has been this way on console sense launch.

Interesting that drinks do not have this effect on the bars. I'm confused how food is an "active effect" but drinks are not.

These kinds of options are why leaving text chat off of console is smart.

I dont want health bars or a crappy text box on my HUD.

And there's no guarantee you would be allowed to toggle it off even if it seems like an obvious option .

How would you show increased Regeneration on the bars as a permanent feature? It's only really valid when attributes are being restored, unlike food buffs which increase the maximum.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I have them turned off in settings and run FTC.
The default ones never turn up, overlay, underlay, nothing. Just don't ever see them *shrugs*

No you are already working around it. I like the vanilla bars but now if you have a food buff, they never go away @P3ZZL3 and as far as I can tell FTC is the add-on that can have the settings changed to force them away while out of combat.. But then you have to use FTCs bars.

You do have to use their bars, but to be honest, you can place/change them around. Combined with Srendarr and OmniStats, I've got the central health/stam/mag bar, with my weapon bars below.

On the bottom right I have the long term buffs and on the top right the short term buffs.

I've turned off all the combat scrolling text and such. Oh, and I have a central "boos/enemy" health bar.

Simple, relatively clean and works a treat for me :)

@P3ZZL3 If you're questing without a quest tracker, quest markers, in first person, and no visual addons enabled.. I imagine our goal is not to have more things on the screen ;) I love my setup for dungeons, but while I'm questing I'd rather not have bright red and blue bars taking up my screen, especially comparing it to the neutral zone I'm normally in (The Alik'r desert REALLY brings out the blue in my magicka bar ;))

    I don't care
I use an addon that makes my bars all visible (yet less obnoxious, visually), so it doesn't affect me personally - thus I do not care either way.

I'll remark it seems an odd thing to enforce though. They already appear for a couple seconds when a buff wears off, and they have toggles for when to hide bars implemented.

Possibly true, but the reason it is making the bars longer is because it's increasing the maximum; increasing the regen rate would need a different visual effect (and currently it doesn't have one at all). That's why I was asking how you would like to see an increase in regen rate on the bars. For example, maybe a constant red/green/blue glow around the bar. Although that may be used for something already...

@Enodoc I'm not talking about the bars growing longer... they always did with food. I think we are talking 2 different things.

What my issue is that previous to this update, while questing, my health/stam/magicka bars would only appear on screen when in combat (or a short flash to tell me my food ended). Now, my health/magicka (because I use blue food) bars stay on screen at ALL times - even when not in combat. It's not that the bars go bigger, it's that they stay on screen at all time and NEVER go away (even out of combat)

Therefore I was under the impression the bars stayed there - so if your bars went away you knew your food buff ended. But since this doesn't happen with drinks, I don't even understand the point.

Yeah, but I mean sometimes I walk away for a minute (kids) or just don't notice because of a hectic fight or something. I agree 100% it should be a toggle, and I can offer no good reason why it isn't, but its something that I've personally wanted and would happily click on if it was a choice.

Oh yeah, that's definitely good points there. It would be handy during dungeons and whatnot.

As I mentioned, obviously quite a few people enjoy this new change and I wouldn't ask for it to be reverted. I would just like to see a toggle for this.

Agree that it should be an option. This is eyesore for a lot of people, especially if you used to play without it all the time :)
