Now it's always on which is stupid
Oh the irony of you asking for options.
Anyway, this does need to be optional. This particular problem does not bother me. That being said, I need to ensure most, if not all, UI configurations are optional so I can have my buff timers and damage numbers on console without interrupting the play of those who do not like them. ZOS listen to the people. We want information, communication and option...ation.
Edit: Changed OP to more accurately reflect my intentions.

OK, I don't know if it's an addon that I'm using, but I've noticed that this is really inconsistent for me. When I've got 3-stat food going and I'm not in combat sometimes I'll see all 3 bars, sometimes I'll see the health bar only, and sometimes none of them. This is when all are buffed by food, and all are fully replenished. It only changes when I go through a loading screen. When I come out of the loading screen maybe I'll have all of the bars visible until the next loading screen, maybe just one, and maybe none.
Furthermore, I consider that collectibles must be bankable.
I'm wondering if it might be Azurah that's doing it. But it's unreliable as to when it does what...OK, I don't know if it's an addon that I'm using, but I've noticed that this is really inconsistent for me. If I could recreate that bug I would.. And go through load screens until there were none... Sooo.. What addons? Lol

It needs to be an option. Forcing things like this on players is terrible imho.
Hopefully this is just a bug
How would you show increased Regeneration on the bars as a permanent feature? It's only really valid when attributes are being restored, unlike food buffs which increase the maximum.Interesting that drinks do not have this effect on the bars. I'm confused how food is an "active effect" but drinks are not.

You do have to use their bars, but to be honest, you can place/change them around. Combined with Srendarr and OmniStats, I've got the central health/stam/mag bar, with my weapon bars below.
On the bottom right I have the long term buffs and on the top right the short term buffs.
I've turned off all the combat scrolling text and such. Oh, and I have a central "boos/enemy" health bar.
Simple, relatively clean and works a treat for me
Possibly true, but the reason it is making the bars longer is because it's increasing the maximum; increasing the regen rate would need a different visual effect (and currently it doesn't have one at all). That's why I was asking how you would like to see an increase in regen rate on the bars. For example, maybe a constant red/green/blue glow around the bar. Although that may be used for something already...@enodoc I thought the point of the stat bars not going away was to know your when your food buff ended. How would you show increased Regeneration on the bars as a permanent feature? @Carde Did you never notice before that you bars would suddenly appear, visibally shrink, then go away when you food buff ended? (that's what happened prior to this update)

Yeah, but I mean sometimes I walk away for a minute (kids) or just don't notice because of a hectic fight or something. I agree 100% it should be a toggle, and I can offer no good reason why it isn't, but its something that I've personally wanted and would happily click on if it was a choice.
