Trophy Vaults
Just a note. Not sure how others feel. I spent several days collecting trophies. Thought going into the vault would be a big deal, since you needed so many of them. Was a huge letdown. Just a room with a chest and the item was really not impressive at all. It was blue and really not anything I would ever use. I was expecting far more since the work required was so long. If you don't farm them you will never see many of the vault rooms and when you do, you will be very disappointed. Maybe ESO will try to up the reward? What does everyone else think?

✭i dont need a vault. I need those new trophies, along with the other ones from earlier in the game, to go into an ether bag like coins and AP (and now Tel Var stones), so they dont take up inventory space.

This is about the new trophies in Imperial City, not the standard ones in the game. Each zone has a vault and the new Duns have a vault you need 150 to get into.

I think that if you're able to get 60 trophies, you should be awarded something that's at least a set piece, and and purple. But then, I'm also insulted when I open a master chest and get a green. Come on.---

Still we may have to hold up until trading and selling of the trophies is enabled. It may be a lot easier to get in then. -

✭✭Are the trophy rooms the only place to get the new "mini-sets" that include only weapons and jewelry and max out at 3-item bonus? Or is it like finding a chest in a group dungeon, where 99.99% of the time it is vendor trash? -

I think we need some more info here to have some sort of opinion.
OK the item is blue but that doesn't matter it can be upgraded.
Was it VR14 ? 15 ? 16 ?
You said it was no use to you but would you consider it a "precious" part for some other type of builds ?
Is it tradable or BoP ?

We don't mind grinding for gear, it's part of the game, but it has to have SOME sort of meaning...

All Trophy Vault treasure chests should have a 100% guarantee to drop a set item piece (specifically from the mini jewelry/weapon sets.) We'd like to look into this it a bit further. Could you tell us what type of Trophy Vault you opened? (Planar Armor Scraps, Bone Shards, etc.)

ZOS, please do not put "Training" on VR16 endgame gear, even by RNG. They do not have to all be the perfect min/max trait, but some traits are just remarkably wrongheaded for endgame gear. -

✭✭Are the rewards always blue? Or can they be purple? Does it depend on the type of trophy and/or vault? Not a big deal for an Axe, but with no jewelry crafting, we will be unable to upgrade blue jewelry. These "mini-sets" seems to be the only VR16 jewelry set pieces, so dropping them in middle-of-the-road quality is poor itemization. People will be inclined to not bother with the trophy grind and just stick with VR14 purple jewelry. -

I too find it quite lame to get so little for so much effort you need to put to get into these vaults. Common I'm sure the persons working at ZoS are a bit more intelligent than that. You don't need to have Einstein's IQ to see these items are not that great of a reward to be found on a treasure room. Lame lame lame.

✭✭Also, the set bonuses on these mini-sets seem nice enough, but rather generic. Which I guess is necessary since they are the only new jewelry sets in Update 7. But still seems like poor itemization. There are 5 weapon/jewelry slots and 7 armor slots. You would think it is 100 armor slots and 2 weapon/jewelry slots with the way the sets have been treated in Update 7.
Seriously, ZOS, 22 new armor sets and 3 new weapon/jewelry sets? Why!? Really hurts build diversity.
