mrskinskull✭✭✭✭Look at text chat on Neverwinter, most of it is just spam and from 8ft away on a 50 inch tv i can't read a bloody thing, I have no desire to sit closer to the tv to watch spam.
Would be best if they added in new voice channels, LFG, Trade and make it more than area chat is, Faction at least.
As for the swearing i've heard less than a dozen swear words since the game was launched on console, have had the pleasure of listening to ppl give build advice, class, race, coins etc .. even if one guy was giving out info he mistakenly thought was correct it was good to see ppl actually communicating
Yeah. Most of my experiences have been like yours. No really don't know where this supposed awful behavior is happening but I rarely ever see someone with a bad mic.
Maybe my timezone is just nicer?
Or maybe the experiences are exaggerated .1 -

Adam_Chattaway✭✭✭✭Well you see on ESO on PC on EU server most none British people i grouped with could at least type English and that's why the majority of Europeans can speak English because it's the global language and makes sense to do so for example Grouping in ESO, on the console we have no text so even if people can't speak English but can type it like on PC there is no way for them to do so.
But if the majority of countries spoke German like English is today then i would have payed more attention in school as it would make sense, by chance i was born in England so i never really saw the point of learning a language only a few people in whole around the world speak.Edited by Adam_Chattaway on July 18, 2015 2:23AM0 -

I'm more bothered now about why the Console patch is 2 weeks after the PC patch, and why more so is the PS4 patch after the XB1 patch? when HELLO PS4 certifies patches faster than Microsoft, so they have ON PURPOSE delayed the PS4 patch to give it 1 day head start to XB1... Now mix that with Console Parity with the PS4'S 40% better GPU and we got a Microsoft Fanboy in the ZoS dev team

Mircosoft likely paid to have it launched first on XBOX, they do that all the time.

Witcher 3 is a GPU demanding game, i just saw the new fps test for patch 1.07 and the XB1 has better fps than the PS4 by up to like 6 more fps, wtf? the 40% more powerful GPU and gddr5 ram and we get less fps? ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

The answer is simple. Microsoft has some sort of deal with Zenimax. Every video lately that ZOS releases has Xbox Icons on it and just yesterday during the ESO Live they literally ran a commercial for Xbox 1 after the video of Imperial City.

Please reconsider a Chat Box for those that want it. Make it a option at least. I was logged into the game for about 30 min and had to turn off voice chat because it was really bad. From feedback from others mics to the person constantly yelling and saying the game sucks etc. It is great when in a guild or with a group, but part of the game is interacting with random people to sell/trade items and the voice channel will need to be open to do this and it just is a mess. Give us the option to have chat box and let the end user decide if we want to use it or have it closed.
Please reconsider this decision.

How do I know this? I tried to point out the same issue and this is the gist of what happened. I ended up abandoning the thread only to have one of the guys follow me and start saying the same exact things when I brought it up in another thread.
They seem to completely forget the fact that people who are looking for something specific will have to search far and wide to find someone that has it, and simply joining a guild won't fix this issue.

Compare the number of unique posters in this thread. Now separate out the people who actually favor text chat on console. Now take that tiny number and compare that to ALL of the people that own and play the console version.
YOU felt ESO needed text chat and took to the forums to campaign for it. Many. Many. Many others did not.
I imagine if an actual representative amount of players actually wanted it, that might make a difference.
Bumping this thread a few more times and filling it with another 'text chat or I quit' will not likely succeed.
Of course this is my opinion.
