Okay who said you couldn't group with your friends to do stuff? I want to be able to continue progressing my character beyond the main storyline, even if I don't have any friends online to help me. But if I don't, I can't do anything, period.Elijah_Crow wrote: »NO ! Don't take away what little group content there is in the game.

What would that be? I've completed the solo dungeons and delves, have the tamriel hero achievement. Even did the public dungeons and have fought my way through cadwell's silver and gold. Where's the other 2/3 playable solo content? There isn't any. I did it all on my way leveling up so I could do craglorn, which I can't, because there are no groups because everyone else already got there and did it before me. I want to be able to progress by myself in the event that my friends aren't able to help me. No ones saying to take away your vet dungeons, your pvp, or what have you, we want to be able to quest solo. And this is what this is, forced grouping to quest to progress further. Luckily you appear to be the minority here.Elijah_Crow wrote: »ArgonianAssassin wrote: »Okay who said you couldn't group with your friends to do stuff? Yes we do, as once you finish the quest for Molag Bal, there is nothing you can do in single player, and playing the Silver and Gold is not a continuation of the story but more needless questing of zones.
Craglorn should have been single player outside with some solo dungeons and group dungeons, complete waste of a zone as I am there every day and I see noone but people looking for mats and the endless LFG for the quests, or zone wide selling of items.
Agree with OP, craglorn was an epic fail of a zone, people only went there to grind. It's also the only part of this games story that I don't know because when you do the quests you do them in whatever order you can find groups for them so it's not as seamless as the other story quests. Not to mentioned when you're in a group people only want to get them done ASAP so you don't get a chance to read everything.
It's a really stupid f'n concept and it baffles me how people can defend it.

I'm in 5 guilds, all these players are veterans and have completed craglorn. I don't want to take away your group content, this is an mmo and grouping is to be expected, but not when it comes to questing. This is a questing zone that forces you to group with other players who may not be available, and with phasing it is entirely possible that in the future there will be no one left to group with for zones like craglorn, everyone will have finished it and phased out of the ability to assist newer players and this is the situation I find myself in now. I'm not interested in some future plausible dlc with a solo zone, I'm interested in being able to fully complete craglorn, unhindered and immersed within. Again no one wants to take away your ability to group, or quest while grouped or do group content in craglorn. We want to be able to QUEST solo, we dont want to solo trials, or dungeons or any of that, we want to quest. Forced grouping for QUESTS is bad, especially when those quests phase you and don't allow you to aid players not on the same phase as you. There are many ways to earn exp, but I'm not here for exp, I'm here for the story. Why do you get to dictate where I can and cannot quest, to immerse myself or progress my character? You've had a good half year to experience craglorn to it's full extent, now everyone has moved on and we who have been left behind want to be able to experience this area too. I see no reason why the dungeon system can't be implemented to have mobs scale to the amount of people in your group to match the difficulty you want, while I can go around soloing stuff and taking in the world.Elijah_Crow wrote: »ArgonianAssassin wrote: »What would that be? My mistake as I mistook you for a poster who chose to ignore other faction areas.
This is an MMO which in my opinion should require a group to complete some content. Why do you get to dictate that this content cannot be story content through a zone. There are many ways to earn XP and I've been saving Craglorn for play with friends specifically because of the type of content it is.
I'm VR 12 and have not yet completed the first zone in Cadwell's Gold. I still have 4 other zones to quest through solo.
You will be happy to know that one of the DLC's will be a solo zone which will scale to your level but in my opinion, Craglorn should be left as is. I would reccomend joining a guild. I have seen no shortage of players willing to do Craglorn quests in some do the guilds I'm in.
And BTW, my wife and I have been Duo'ing a lot of Craglorn. I wish some areas were tougher.

We will have to agree to disagree. The game already has the smallest required group size for most Modern MMOs. It sounds like you think you are "entitled" to be able to complete all story content solo. I don't agree with that. There are a ton of single player games better suited for that.
I disagree, quests should be able to be solo'd. Craglorn was introduced for group content and I disagreed then that it should be soley for group players. You can have your dungeons and trials and raids and so on, but at least let us quest.Elijah_Crow wrote: »ArgonianAssassin wrote: »I'm in 5 guilds, all these players are veterans and have completed craglorn. I will add that I have played games where you needed 6 people in order to advance AT ALL (Vanguard 50-55) at end game. This is not the case here and you are talking about a small portion of story content created specifically for group play. Nope. Done. To many concessions to the "make it easy" players already in this game (original vet level content).
