Craglorn needs to be made soloable

Instead of making Craglorn soloable, why don't they just make the rewards worthwhile.

No one wants to go through the pain of finding a group for Craglorn when they can just hit up another zone and get just as good rewards because Crag has been nerfed so hard.

Exactly. As much as I thnk that those 4man doors are just stupid and pointless, and that the only barrier for entry should be ability, there simply isn't much in the way of incentives. I suppose crafting nirnhoned is a good incentive, but thats about it for craglorn.

Okay, so a lot of people in this thread say 'It's Craglorn. It's group content. Get used to it.' And I get that, I really do. It's just... I want to experience Craglorn, but can't seem to find people to group with. It's frustrating, because the area looks so awesome, but I can't play any of it. I've tried PUGs, but good ones are few and far between, or people only want to grind to VR14.

So, either make Craglorn more solo-friendly (at least parts of it?) or... RELEASE MORE CONTENT. We haven't seen any new areas in... how many months? It's time, Zeni. Don't make me drop my sub because I'm bored. Less cat mounts, more work on Orsinium, please and thanks.

It sucks all the lower delves get bumped up to your level, making soloing impossible if you just want to go back and see them again. it's more fun to go back and steamroll guys you had a hard time with originally.
There should be a choice in the difficulty of the content, and loot changed accordingly.

no it shouldn't...the who point is to address the problem that did exist. Its suppose to be challenging and encourage group play

Is the problem the VR level gate then?
Because it may be a few that want to solo everything but if you're un-grouped but can play content (other than instanced content) by helping others...the resolve is to bring more people together with this content range.

90% of this game is soloable, we don't need another soloable zone.

Yes we do, as once you finish the quest for Molag Bal, there is nothing you can do in single player, and playing the Silver and Gold is not a continuation of the story but more needless questing of zones.

Craglorn should have been single player outside with some solo dungeons and group dungeons, complete waste of a zone as I am there every day and I see noone but people looking for mats and the endless LFG for the quests, or zone wide selling of items.

19 zones are full of solo content. 2 zones are group-encouraged (Craglorn and Cyrodiil). And there are further solo-able zones in development. There's MORE than enough solo content in the game.

But hey, at least these people aren't asking for solo "end game" content. Whatever the hell that is. They just want more stuff to do.

It's coming, don't worry. For now, just be patient, those of us who don't mind grouping have to be as well.

I really could care less about Craglorn. I spend the vast majority of my time in the solo zones or Cyrodiil. I wish I could ignore Craglorn altogether, but I can't - crafting writs and their rewards force me into Craglorn.

When last I checked crafting was a solo-able enterprise, why am I suddenly forced into grouping to collect my rewards for completing writs? Players would be up in arms if completing these required going into Cyrodiil and retrieving mats from a battlefield.

I do crafting writs and survey reports in Craglorn as well. And I've RARELY had to fight anything to get to my nodes. Not since crafting writs were first introduced, any way.

If you're fighting things while trying to harvest your lush nodes in Craglorn, chances are you might not be approaching it along the best possible path.

My character is perfectly able to to defend himself in Craglorn, all I'm doing is pointing out that solo activity, crafting, is being directed to an area of the game where grouping is encouraged. It makes as much sense as forcing PVE players into Cyrodiil for PVP. In fact, from my point of view, crafting writs should be turned in at faction gates and surveys should take place in Cyrodiil. It's not like I am going to complete any quests in Craglorn on my own, but at least in Cyrodiil you can solo everything save, capturing objectives.

People coming to an MMO expecting everything to be Soloable.

Gets more ridiculous every time I hear it in this game. Try being less antisocial perhaps? Or do us all a favour and stick to single player >_<

Is funny how you "group or GTFO" people think solo players are the antisocial ones.
After all it is solo players who are insulting and kicking others from group for not having perfect builds, perfect equipment, perfect droid like rotations etc.
It is solo players who always rush others and go into trauma mode when someone needs quick break.
It's solo players who are so stuck up with themselves that they cant even imagine people might enjoy MMOs for reasons other than constant grouping and epen comparisons.

You see we solo players are so antisocial we got ourselves real live wifes/families/friends/jobs, we also got real life troubles and chalenges so when we play games, we do it to relax and have fun, not to deal with histeric kids and virgin parents basement dwellers trying to build up their egos.

    This one thousand times!

Craglorn is a an almost complete bust IMO.

Do a quick run through almost anywhere except where the grinders are and it is empty.

What good are all these group only areas in Craglorn if they are sitting unused 99% of the time.

You can count the number of dungeons/delves that are used on one hand.

Hmm, since Craglorn is all group necessary and all, how does that influence the quests in terms of stage progression?

Like say I were reading the dialogue with some of the quests characters and was in a group at the time and the other group members skipped through the dialogue to start the next stage of the quest. Would it kick me out of the dialogue and automatically force me into that new stage or would I still progress as normal?

Perhaps there's exceptions to this as well?

I'm curious as I intend to do the Craglorn quests sometime in the far future, and I couldn't care less about rewards, acheivements, completion, xp or maxing, I'd be doing the for the sole purpose of experiencing the story, so it'd be good to know how some of the mechanics work there.

For the quest stuff I have managed to do in Craglorn so far, there are a lot more "scenes" than "dialogues" during the quest, where you sit and watch something happen and can't skip. When you do get dialogues, usually at the end of a section, someone skipping through it won't kick you out of it (usually).

It's a group zone. Just because you are having a hard time finding a group doesn't mean they need to make the zone Soloable. It's a group zone. What is so difficult to understand about that.

In the words of Mick Jagger... "you can't always get what you want...but if you try sometimes you'll find. You get what you need."

Give it a rest man. Craglorn is group content. Make some friends.

    Well...

As a direct result of Craglorn being group content...

-I have met people who are kind and fun to play with.
-I have experimented with skills/builds I would not have otherwise (healing, for example)
-I have been able to practice without having to deal with those players in pledge PuG's that are rush-rush-rushing me through everything just to have a meltdown if I make a mistake
-I have been able to play group content that is more forgiving (i.e. in Craglorn we don't have to have certain roles/classes in groups, and a mistake doesn't mean instant death... most of the time)

    So, I'm fine with Craglorn.

Craglorn should be made cross-faction. Too much good content going to waste because people only go there to farm mats.

That would actually be cool. The only thing about Crag that really annoys me is that at times it does take too long to get a group going. But this can be said of any group content in any game.

I'd go so far as to say that dungeons, trials, and craglorn could all benefit from being cross-faction... I understand that with this patch, dungeons will be? So that's a start.

Why does everyone rely on group finder?

Plug your mic in, get talking to people.

    Join a guild.

My friends quit this game 2 weeks in.

I started talking to random people and ended up in a good guild.

The guild recently folded, so checked on here. Found another good guild.

ESO, as an mmo does not need to make more content solo.

You, as someone playing an MMO, need to learn how to be a bit more social.

Craglorn needs some daily system and entire game needs best possible group-finder. My proposition is that, they introduce special item to make requests, when request is put on, everyone sees it on their UI, requests can vary from low level dolmens, world bosses, public dungeons to Craglorns quests, trials, or dsas to Cyrodil's Gank Squad to full zerg action, or IC's sewers grinding. Also the request stays up as long its completed and those who help get the reward.

Btw I thikn Craglorn is great idea, I just leveled my third alt at console launch and Craglorn was just fresh breath of air as it was group-content.

I agree with the sentiment that Craglorn needs to be soloable. Perhaps we can work with a middle ground though. The outdoor content should be soloable, but the dungeons still need a group? This would work well I suspect.

A harder route would be to instantiate the dungeons. If you go in solo, the gear rate and XP is lowered significantly, but the dungeon is soloable. If you go in as a group, then the difficulty is increased, but the gear rate and XP is raised significantly.

Please No. As Adult Gamer and long time Rpg genre Fan and gamer who dislikes a lot the fact that Mmo's have been watered down for many years now. Tech in RL gets faster and ppl wanna get things done faster in elsewhere as well :/ Too many ppl want to go from place A to B fast on these days and unfortunately same thing applies to Mmo's. Modern day gaming community "or big part of it" wants simplified Char Lvl Progression and Progression in General including fast bling bling a.k.a having new equipment loot :( Often Developers Bow & Obey with no hesitation & one Sad Example is Swtor's Eaware crew as it's Officially most Dumbed Down Mmo on the market. Yes hand helding there than Wow has. Or pretty close if not more. Espesially after recent Kotfe expanson arrived. Disgusting. :(Many Adult gamers appreciate it when you need to put Thought & Work to Char Progression on Every Area.

Unfortunately we are Minority so often our request for this disappears out to distant woods. Not always though as there are some companies who don't dumb down their products. Hopefully they and Zenimax won't jump to that bandwagon. So effort and thought put into progression is needed and good to have in TESO. Not just as in Raids, Trials or Group Instances and including default Diff setting. Effort & Thought put into it need to be at every area :)
From Bottom of Rp Heart hoping that ZOS won't change Craglorn to Soloable area and Hope that Effort & Thought required with Char Progression's Combat will be around :) Whether it's about doing Quests "or Missions depending the Mmo" at Story path, normal Group Dungeons, Trials or Raids the Effort and Thought required need to be there.

So pls no dumbing down the content and thanks for the content so far :) Waiting for info to arrive about SpellCrafting after it was introduced in nice new features to come video @ Quakecon 2014. Forums look nice and i like the notification system, but just sad that there's no disagree reaction available. So community is forced to like or just not like at all. Path missing :(

Kind regards: TESO Long time Subber & Huge Tamriel Fan Ever Since Morrowind Launched.
