Lawl at no one putting NB. A group of 5 dks cannot take on 30+, neither can a group of sorcs or templars, but a group of 5 nbs can easily tank 30+
But in all seriousness, Dks and NBs are about equal, templars not far behind, but sorcs are lacking, negates are incredibly strong and will win fights, but asides from that what else does a sorc have.

A DK has no class ranged damagers. All of it's class damage is at melee range. That puts them in the thick of the fight with all the focus fire on them if they want to kill something using any of their class skills.

I think reflective scales is there due to the fact that we have no range damagers. I think it was placed there as a purposeful balancer due to the lack of ranged damagers and forward gap closers. Unlike forward gap closers backward gap closers can be immune, blocked, reflected and in the case of ours unreliable by the last exploit fix. A backward gap closer can fail to be a gap closer whereas a forward gap closer cannot with the exception of CC; though CC can be removed.
Just as classes with range can become melee through the weapon system, those that are melee can become ranged with the weapon system. However in the later case they cannot carry over their class skills with them. That is an entire skill line removed from the table of options. Those who move from ranged to melee can still use their class damagers with their melee skills. A DK that moves from melee to range cannot.

Yeah that's all dandy except they are incredibly difficult to take down in melee range. Compare the DK to a nightblade. It's no contest, they simply have so much more defense and way more effective heals. I want this deal too. You can even have Twilight Matriarch.
And yet NBs kill DKs solo all the time. One NB even killed a sitting EMP DK Vampire several times in a 1v1. DK is the best for every role but healing. This includes pve and pvp.

yeah by using an ultimate that cuts the damage out almost entirely. If you are casting frag shield and dragon blood you are not attacking, you are buffing and healing. You can sustain it for a while but you are not a threat unless you attack. Eventually you will run out of magicka in a stamina build and be overtaken.I want this deal too. Imho the problem we are facing is, that its way to easy to dominate in the "mid tier" (whatever this is supposed to be) of pvp with a dragon knight and the fact that you could teach a monkey do perform mediocre with a dragon knight.

What? Frag shield is an attack. And magma cost less than 150 ultimate. Dragonblood is clippable. Mebe you dont know as much as you think you know.
