    Maybe they have locked it down - either way we have had money taken out without getting renewed. I suggest wait or buy a time card or risk it

    Hahah the system was like hmmm I can take your money and still lock you out.

    Okay, my boyfriend tried to pay for my monthly subscription. His card name will obviously have a different name on it than the name on my ESO account info.

    So why can't I change the cardholder name to his...? I had to change my actual ESO account info to his name for it to change the cardholder's name, since that's something I cannot change when entering payment info. Then when I went back to enter card info, it started saying there was an issue with my payment when I clicked the card type (ie Visa/Mastercard). Without ever entering the actual card info.

    Can't say I've ever seen that... Usually account info is totally separate from billing/payment info... Love the hassle.

    Stop messing with payment info! I didn't edit anything since purchase and it went through just fine I got charge pre auth in the very beginning and yesterday I got charged my monthly sub once. No down time no hassle.

    Is Felix a Zenimax employee or agent. I find the responses to this and my post very troubling.

    I make the point this would never happen with Blizzard.

    I also make the point that while the money has been taken illegally - No Contract performance - No consideration provided. I will be required to contact my bank - lodge a Chargeback request - renew my cards so that Zen doesnt do it again and then after 14 days I will get my money back

    This is preferably then the time it will take Zen to rectify their issue (never)

    1-Blizzard has had more account problems than probably any company in history. Granted I have no statistic or facts to back that up but since you are making unprovable claims I thought it would be ok if I did as well.

    2-You authorized them to take the money it's not illegal for them to then take it. Just because they had a malfunction keeping you from getting credit doesn't make your authorization void and therefore making it illegal for them to take the funds.

    3-They will ever fix the problem according to you....right.

    They do state it. After choosing the payment method (Visa etc.), a new box appears with this:

    Fascinating. I don't recall that from when I subscribed. Guess I should have taken a picture of the screen. Not to say I couldn't have missed it, but after the initial subscription fiasco, I was reading the fine print.

    my husband's payment has been pending since friday evening, it even let him play for 4 hours or so, but come saturday, sunday and now monday, the game decided his account was expired so he missed out a weekend of gaming. He called the bank and due to the game trying to double charge him, the first one went through successfully but the second one failed, but either way, the MONEY has gone through...and the bank said its all fine and they are not blocking it but its up to CS on this end to do what they need to do on their end. But still... no active account. :\

    Yeah, go make the same wild accusations with no substance of Trion, EA, Mythic, Bioware, and others that all launched MMO's and had small #'s of users with edge-case payment issues for the first renewal cycle. Do you have any actual reason to be saying this or are you just throwing out what's essentially baseless libel? Don't get me wrong, I'm sympathetic to anyone having problems, but this kind of random silliness doesn't help resolve the issues for anyone.

    I would like to complain about my problem with re-sub. On the May 11 me subscription plan run out of time so I was charged for a month fee of 499,00 rub. I didn’t had enough money for porches, so I received the following mail:

    "Greetings ***,
    We were unable to process the payment for your subscription to The Elder Scrolls Online. Without an active subscription, you won't be able to continue your adventure!
    We want to help you get back into the game as soon as possible. Please update your payment method on your Manage Subscription page or contact Customer Support and we'll be happy to assist you."

    On the May 12 I putted enough money on my virtual credit card and managed may subscription plan again, as I was asked. After that I recived the following mail:

    What is more important – I also received a letter from from bank saying that I was charged for 499.00 rub:

    And letter from bank that I’ve been tried to charged ones again for 499,00 rub, but I didn’t have enough money on my card so transaction is failed.

    So, as I result I was charged for 499,00 rub for monthly fee and don’t have ability to play. I assume that firs charge was a money hold insurance stage to verify that my credit card is active, BUT I didn’t got that money back and I also can’t play the game. So that means, if I want to play I need to re-sub again and pay dabble fee again? It is simply outrageous!

    Anyway I ask you to give me some tips on what I have to do to continue playing, but honestly I have no intention to pay dabble fee each time I need to re-sub and I will cancel my sub totally if this issue won’t be solved.

    So it seems i'm not the only one with these issues then, mine in particular it's that you are trying to charge me twice for the same thing, because when i looked at my debit card statement it says you charged me 15 USD (give or take) on the 6th of May (that's the day i set up my sub) i'm gonna guess that was to verify that i had money on my card, but now that the 30 Days of "Free" time have expired you guys are trying to charge me the same amount again without giving me back that 15 USD you charged me on the 6th of may, and thank God i only have a Debit card otherwise you would had charged me 15 bucks again.

    I'm gonna attach some pics here detailing both my card statement and the mails i've got from you (the things on it are in Spanish and on my currency since i'm from Uruguay and i hope you aren't that moronic as to blame exchange rates for this problem)

    So with these awesome pics i hope you understand that the issue is on YOUR end and not mine, please fix this.

    PS: where it says payments on the card statement it means the money i deposited on the card not a payment to someone or something.

    Well, I got a call back tonight. Actually two cause I missed the first call. Very nice CS guy who tried to be helpful but the bottom line is they don't know. They don't know why there system says rejected and my card says pending when those funds (14.99) unavailable.

    Bottom line is the folks who set up there payment system either didn't do something right, set it up abnormally or they are having technical problems.

    That being said I gotta give Jason at CS props who set me up with a couple days of play time until this gets figured out. It was refreshing to hear him say right off the bat, "don't worry, we'll get you back in tonight". On a Sunday night no less. So thank you Jason @ CS.

    Will just have to see how this plays out but I'm still not thrilled about having to go through hassles like this. Again, this is the same card I purchased the game and some limited edition stuff with.

    No It was a legit question - you are being defensive to people and suggesting multiple solutions and I was unsure if you are part of staff or just a man on a mission to defend the indefensible.

    I want to know the following - Should we try again
    Or
    Should we take the trouble of buying a game card.

    While I know this will be sorted eventually I just want to play when I have the time to.


    If I renew, it'll absolutely be through a game card. Amazon has a proven track record of billing me in ways that don't make me tear my hair out. ZOS is the opposite.

    Yeah, because a billion dollar company is out to take your $15 x.... how many in this thread? Let's just say it happened to 1,000 people... 5x each... (this is being very generous here), that would mean that $75,000 they would have gained plus endless headaches. Some people have no common sense. Yes these things happen, heck I worked in banking for years they happen WITH ALL COMPANIES! Apple iTunes is by far the most I have seen customers complain followed by several other major companies.

    My payment went through just fine, there was apparently some sort of error for some (MANY of whom seem to not be from the USA which just adds another barrier). Also, Zenimax is not a financial institution. They don't have their own personal bank at which to charge your cards directly. It all goes through merchant services, given their company size.. we are talking on a much larger scale -- however still dealing with third parties who then deal with Visa/Mastercard, etc..

    PayPal works fine btw, I know several people who had no problems with it and then others who said they used CC. My guild and I were talking about this... you'd think people would realize it was an error and very likely not even caused by ZOS directly.

    I was charge for 14.99 twice and i have 0 game time. Went to the bank to check my card transaction only to find out its pending! I cant even withdraw my money, its floating.     Interesting aspect. I submitted a ticket eariler due to it showing charges for both the 6 month AND the 1 month. Sent a ticket in, awating back reponse. Checked my bank account later...three pending charges. The 6 month and TWO 1 months.... Sent a second ticket off with reference to the first to note the charges and shall see what happens. Thankful I had additional funds, or I would be over drafted and banging my head off a desk at this point...color me unamused

    Same had email this morning saying i could no longer log in in as my subscription payment failed.Followed the link and re-subbed and used paypal. Instant email saying payment processes and that was then followed by another one saying the same thing about 5 minutes later. Nice £80+ gone from my account for 180 days of play time (or should that be 150 days play time 30 days down time). At work at present so not even sure I'll be able to log on tonight. Have just checked paypal and one is now showing as refund while one taken but both are still removed from bank account at present

    The Paypal issue needs fixing. Accounts being correctly billed on Paypal and then refunded immediately is wack.

    I've only made one payment, as i saw someone mentioning similar problem yesterday. but yeah i just paid my monthly, can see the balance change via my online banking. but still "not subscribed" no double charge as i only had enough to pay the month. got a mail confirming payment, then a mail saying "payment fail"
