    My husband & I have bought the 180 days subscription, being that we are planning to play on our PC until ESO comes out on XB1 where we will then transfer over our accounts.

    Here is the problem; We Just got a notice from our bank that we have been charged twice $77.94 !!

    Question for Zenimax; Will two of those four charges be put back into our bank account?

    What do we do now to fix this overcharge?

    My wife and I bought the 6 month plan for $77.94 and was changed twice 2 times for her and 2 times for me.

    I've paid alright for game AND imperial edition seperately , why the heck unable to process ???
    Funniest thing is that money were CHARGED and written off my virtual credit card.
    So funniest thing is that i'm afraid to try again now - i don't want to be charged twice.

    Can't wait till more and more subscription payments get charged and we see how widespread this really is :) should be a fun monday for ZOS! I'll find out this weekend when mine gets charged.

    If I get charged twice I know I'll get refunded but just glad I opted for monthly instead of bundle

    The problem is some people have budgeted just enough room to be charged only once...getting charged twice could really wreak havoc in someone's life.

    That money that has been withdrawn from their account without authorization might be needed by someone with much less disposable income than the rest of us. It could be needed for paying bills, or putting food on their kids tables.

    ZOS needs to not go home tonight until all of these are worked out and every person who was overcharged is reimbursed.

    If you have a problem with billing log a support call on help.elderscrollsonline.com - that goes to the ESO billing department. The forum (and the forum admins) do not have access to your account, sorry. If you just post it here, it will not get fixed.

    I put in a ticket with the help team for a refund on the extra charge but I do want to just leave a note here indicating that I too have been double charged for my 180 day sub. While it currently isn't a life-altering issue, in the future (ie next time my sub is due) this will be an extremely bad situation for me. Hopefully this gets fixed ASAP.

    i can see that a CSR has not responded to this post...

    im glad they could care less how they effect people in RL....what happens to the person who only had enough in his account to cover the charges..now he will have overdraft fee's (~30$), as well as double charges for the game.

    so i 1 month sub could end up costing ~60$ (~45$ is the dbl charge get reversed).

    i don't know about you all, but i can take a lot of *** when it comes to games, but when you start screwing with me and my money, we have a major problem.

    Honestly, how hard is it to charge an account only once? e-tailers have been doing it for YEARS...how is it such a problem for a gaming company?

    We got charged twice when i did it for both myself and my wife's. However when i did it i figured that this would happen so planned ahead for it, 4 charges 2 for hers and 2 for mine. I Figured this would be the case. However i did call them to ask them if they knew if this would happen. The woman i spoke to was nice but when i explained what was going on its like they had no idea what was going on and had to explain myself about 5 times. She then said there would not be extra charges if there were it would be their fault. Good thing I planned ahead, because they were not even close, got 4 charges for the 6 months. I then sent a email to her to let her know that it did happen as I thought it would and that it might be a good idea to let people know so if they did not plan ahead they wont get charged from the bank. They sent me a canned response saying sorry sir. All I can say is plan ahead because they have no idea. I also lost 5 days on the sub somehow which i will have to call about, when i shouldn't have since we got the 5 days of time.

    You dont have to be a jedi to see where this is leading...

    It's been one problem after another...a normal,rational person can only take so much...

    1 six month sub 77$
    2 six month subs 154$
    4 six month subs 308$....that's 154$ overcharge....NOT a little problem.

    Well ZOS will be held accountable for overdrafts as only one charge was originally authorized maybe that's why they staying quiet, it's a sign of "omg we are so ******"

    What happens is if the overdraft fee doesn't get credited to your account in the form of free game time at least then you call your credit card company and tell them it was an unauthorized transaction and they should discharge the fee.

    Of course if enough people do this ZOS's contracts with the CC companies will be suspended and the game will be shut down pretty much immediately.

    These kinds of issues can quickly kill a game and are by far the worst thing that can happen to a game studio.

    Question you guys, maybe someone here would know. Does my gametime only show up when the end of my old gametime is over with on my acct, when i am billed? Sorta in the same situation as you guys, but it told me it would bill me on the 12th

    Well I went ahead and checked my CC account, was only charged the six month sub fee of 77$, but I set up my sub on April 4th.

    I am curious, if the people who are getting double charged are setting up (or re-subbing) a subscription, and the ZOS site is counting both the first sub from the fourth of April, and then the re-sub, if that is what people are trying to set up. This could account for the double charges.

    Either way, hope all gets resolved for everyone.

    My authorized $14.99 subscription, charged my card $16.04. I will be contacting Visa fraud department tonight. I think its time to ask them to audit their PCI and PII compliance.

    Nah I had my sub setup since early access and when it tried to charge me earlier today it said it was declined (which is insane since I have plenty of funds in there) but regardless. That being the case I logged in and re-entered my info (Which it prompted me to do) and it went through this time. However I went to check my account afterwards to see if it went through and noticed it was charged twice. I think the account is giving a false positive for the charge failing and requiring a manual re-sub even though it isn't required and it ends up charging twice. Meaning I think their auto-renew function is broken.

    EDIT: And now after re-reading your post it seems I pretty much described exactly what you were suggesting...lol...funtimes!

    The $77 is the 6 month charge. I am hoping you just made a typo when you say you were charged yhe 3 month fee. I have the 6 month and I was charged correctly.

    Yep, sorry, the six month sub.

    It seems that people who are getting the "payment fail" email, are still getting charged, in spite of the notice. My advice is to not try to re-enter your info, and keep an eye on your account and check for any charges. This might avoid the double fee. Also, I have the six month play time on my account, so there is no interruption in my playtime.

    I have been charged for 1 month subscription but money were locked and now I have to contact my bank and ask to unlock it or something. Thank you ZOS, seems you don't actually want my money so be it.
    I can deal with broken quests, bugged animations, unbalanced pvp, broken skills, perks and set bonuses, a few dungeons as endgame content, laggy Cyrodiil and random crashes but you even wont let me PAY for THIS game.
    m'kay.

    ED: Contacted my bank and now I must wait for a MONTH to return my money.
