I always see large roving hoards of bots and I know I will see them again traveling in packs of 8-20 and I cannot possibly report them all.

You can't even keep one in your crosshairs long enough to report it.

Oh, and nothing makes me mad like running up to a Columbine flower just to see it vanish as I approach it. Followed by the next 80 harvest nodes I aim for.

Yes, yes you can. Try this:

    FastReport:
    http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info181-FastReport.html
FastReport adds the urgently needed functionality to

Fastly Report any Player without having to type their name

or clicking through a few Menus.

    Just Press a Key and

the last targeted Player gets prefilled automatically

    and the Report Window opens.

It has been made to quickly report any Teleport-Hacker (and similiar) without having to type their Name manually.
Just target them and press the Key you bound to Fastreport or type /report and it will open the Report Window with the Playername prefilled.

You dont have to stay on target - you only have to hover them ONCE.

The vile lab usually has a few bots running near it as well, the spawn rate of the npc's is pretty fast there and there is a nice circular path the bots take. Coldharbor is very bot heavy.

This. Holy crap, I was questing in Coldharbor last night and there were more bots than actual players. I am not exaggerating or joking. It was pretty disappointing. I didn't have to do any work to get to my quest goals since no mobs lived longer than a minute or two.

You have read zone chat haven't you? You realize some player trolls will get this position and start banning legit players for fun/vindictiveness.

Players being the decision makers on this is a terrible, terrible idea.

I just got to the Hollow city today and damn, I've not seen anything like it outside of wow (the BOTanica). They are like lemmings, going from the wayshrine and over the bridge.. hundreds of them, all level 3.

I run into those bots today and stood there for maybe 5 minutes and couldn't believe my eyes. Every 5 seconds another bot spawns another bot and flies (!!!) away. This is really getting out of hand! There must be more bots than players.

I shook my head and logged off. And I won't log in again until that problem is solved.

Do you think they are waiting for the next big release to mass ban hundreds of accounts, then announce it at the release, as a marketing strategy? As mentioned in the video I linked the demand for gold spikes after a new release so its the best time to ban bots and gold scammers...

BTW both guys in that video make more or less a living off MMOs, not legally either... Its a scammer interviewing a gold 'broker' ie some kid who used to buy and sell wow accounts, learned Chinese and created a bridge between the players here and the Chinese trading sites which in turn contact the gold farmers wwtc. Pretty eye opening...

Hi, folks. Thank you for reporting the bots. We ask that when you see bots in-game you report them using the /help function to alert our Support Team. We are actively working to fight against bots in ESO every day, and reports from players like yourselves help us in this quest. Thank you!

You have lost control of the situation, they are everywhere, hacking and exploiting from starter areas to Coldharbour from mail spams to chat spams... to exploiting your pathetic guild system and totally buggering the games economy. You need to put hard coded level requirements on Coldharbour (one would of thought that was a given) And yes lvl 3 to lvl 5 bots are all over the shop (and at higher lvls as well)

Feels like lolbot trains (my name for them. not sure if they are leveling or picking up stuff or both) are running rampant in almost every part of the game, except in Cyrodiil and Veteran Content. Not to mention bots glitching material node spawns making them spawn instantly, regular material pathing bots (I use Dhalmora for my crafting/banking needs, so I see them all the time), teleporting bots, underground bots.. and I'm sure there are other types too. Oh and yes, the ones simply dropping from the sky. Though I'd say the tp bots, underground bots and the ones dropping from the sky is pretty much the same type.

Still there doing the same Gateskeeper quest over and over. Its ridiculous. No matter what instanced version i go into they are still there hundreds an hours streaming from wayshrine to quest giver.

Now I've started to see speed hacks in operation too, and they can run through rocks and buildings. Also seen bots standing around way shrines dieing over and over and no idea why lol.

BOTS are getting really bad here now and game is in danger of becoming a laughing stock amongst gamers tbh.

I saw quite a few last night in Coldharbor. Luckily, there was a GM online and I sent him a whisper. He was fast to respond and was working hard as we left.

Not an hour or two later Cold Harbor was once more overrun with bots. I don't mind whispering to a GM, but their report a player is clunky and very slow. It is a time sink. And there is just so many with the way they want you to report bots, I would never get any play time in and that isn't what I am paying for. I don't mind whispering a GM and even staying a few to watch vanishing bots being devoured by the GM. I will help in that manner.

Fix you report a player where it isn't clunky and slow. I would even suggest at the rate the bots are spawning back so rapidly after being banished by a GM, that one GM isn't enough and their banishing should be on a hourly thing.

Zenimax you were brave to thing that this infestation wouldn't hit your MMO, but it did and was even an easy mark because of your earning gold system and the cost of everything stupidly high on top of the rapid decay of armor.

Then you waited a little to long to see where it was you failed when thinking gold sellers wouldn't come to your MMO (ALL MMOs have this infestation, I would love to hear the explanations from the people that work for you thought how gold sellers wouldn't enter your game).

Now you are overrun even though you are working on it, as a veteran MMO player I can honestly say, you need more man power and routines to even start to clean up this infestation and it won't come fast.

    Things you could do:

Hourly checks for bots in all zones by GMs.
Fix your report a player/bot to fast and easy and not waste your PAYING customers time.
    Ban buyers.
This is not a great idea, but make things not so hard to come by, solves two things, stops players (some) from buying from gold sellers and gold sellers have a harder time gathering things to sell and gold would not be so OP in your MMO.
Make it where anyone under the level of 20 (could be higher) could not reach high level zones.

I have seen no bots in public dungeons in awhile, but you just drove them out into the world of Tamerial. You need a better system to overcome them and the patience.

Actually they stated themselves a while back that for bots they make an exception to that rule
and that you are allowed to notify them here about it.
I reported them ingame too but since it puts the names next to eachother automatically
it can be very confusing,so I saw the necessity to notify them here about it.
And I mean common, like if these violators deserve rights..

The short story is. main bot is in Coldhabour. Its gotten there by teleport via another friend. Coldhabour is the highest place you can get without doing main story lines yourself.

Now all the alt bots comes. They are generated, join group, tp to main bot and finishes an easy quest that doesnt involve combat for 282 gold. The gold is handed to the main bot and the alt character is deleted. New character is created and the cyclus continues.
  • Jim_McMasterub17_ESO
I've reported literally hundreds & hundreds of bots since I started playing ESO just prior to public launch.

I have never seen a company so openly take (double charge!) peoples' money with little or no regard for the welfare of the product they were purportedly selling.

I will not support Zenimax, or Bethesda with the money I make any longer.

(Not nearly alone, I am one of the last in the sixty+ people I am personal friends with who tried your game & have cancelled subs.)

I understand why you feel that way about it Jim.
On the other hand it might be unsafe to expose publically what measures and systems they are planning to prevent this.
However,if it does continue it will besmirch the reputation of the game.
People pay for premium service and expect them to get this under controle.
The game itself is amazing though and wouldn't deserve to get besmirched like this by some exploiters who have no repect for the real players in this game whatsoever//

I'm actually dubious that anyone is actually buying any significant amounts of gold.

I mean, aside from a mount, there's nothing that needs huge amounts of gold in this game. I've deconstructed or researched almost everything I loot, and I still have a decent amount of gold. I can see wanting some of the blue and gold crafting mats, and the Daedric or Ancient crafting motifs, but...

Well, 'anecdote' is not the plural of 'data' so this is just my experience. But I believe the goldsellers are trying to bank against a market that just isn't there, and a combination of game client architecture and the megaserver setup makes it easy for them to farm ESO so they're farming as much as they even though it's useless.

However, it is dramatically affecting the new player experience in a negative way. So again I will ask: To what extent are we willing to risk being hit with whatever hammer ZOS would drop? Considering how much complaining there was when they mass-banned the dungeon bots, do you think that ZOS might be a little gunshy of doing that again?

Repairs and respecs are ridiculously expensive.

42k mounts should be veteran dungeon rewards.
Crafters should be able to repair their own gear.
Respecs should start out cheap, increase in price the more you do it, and reset/decrease in price over time.
Motifs should be found via research/deconstructing.

This game is ruined and unplayable for me. In the 90 minutes I spent trying to play over 50 minutes were devoted to following and reporting bots (none of which were removed before I gave up). I saw approximately 6 real players three to four DOZEN bots. There is no reward to playing, why try to reach veteran ranks when you see these jibberish named automatons surpassing you and hoarding every spawn/node. Every time I have felt the excitement of exploring a new area or fighting a boss I have been overwhelmed by disappointment from find an infestation of bots. Every time, since launch. This game is ruined.

if your in Coldharbour legit 250 gold is not going to make a lot of difference.
