Not everyone likes every game. I like this one a lot and have gotten great value for my money so far. I'm at level 30 for my most advanced toon and have seen only a fraction of the content so far. At my pace it'll be 4-5 months before I finish all of the zones and then, presumably, there will be new areas to explore and PvP. So I have quite a while to go and I'm having a blast.

I've been around for too long. I've seen gods die, and I've helped many be reborn. I've unlocked secrets lost for centuries, and locked away new ones that will be lost into time.

I've been to so many worlds, and watched many of my friends die. I've traveled across space and time, and I've re-written countless lives with a single word.

I think I'll settle down here. I think this is a good place for me to stay.

They have a week to fix.

    Night Blade bug fixes.

What kind of bugs? I haven't had a chance to play Night Blade fully yet. Just wondering.

I played in the beta for both ESO and Wildstar and that made my decision easy. I thought I would enjoy both and was surprised when I could not stop playing/thinking/talking about ESO and really disliked Wildstar, but as with all games it is personal preference. I have a six month sub for ESO.

For a few more months, probably. It's not a long-term game though, since leveling is FAR too fast, and there are too many conveniences, and very little sand in the box. It's much more of a theme park than a sandbox. I miss the days of UO and Runescape. Those were serious, long-term games.

Already cancelled my sub and refunded my game. I found I spent more time troubleshooting than playing. I may come back to it after some time has passed and I get more positive feedback from people I trust.

I'll be subbed for a bit. Not sure how long because I tend to be fickle in this regard. Overall though, I really enjoy the game. Some things need a little more polish, but I haven't seen anything that is a game-breaking or insurmountable.

I actually like how the game differs from other MMOs. I've played most of the popular MMOs and I always ended up getting bored and quitting with those games. Since I became so easily bored in those other games, I'm not ready to start saying that any aspect of this game should be changed to mimic a game I already became bored with and moved on. That just seems silly to me. I'd rather try something new and learn to adapt to different mechanics and new rules.

Did you ever wonder why wow lost 4 mio subs lately? Its because of raging wizards that demand that everyone plays the game professional and as a job.

This type of elite behavior existed in vanilla WoW and every expansion thereafter. I can remember guild masters yelling their lungs out during AQ and ZG, demanding hours of preparation, in game and out, before a raid invite would be sent that week. This isn't new, so I wouldn't say that it is specifically what ran huge amounts of members away. People are different, some totally casual that will play for years without ever hitting the level cap, others that will get there in a day and demand others to follow, and all sorts in between. Distasteful as it may be, it's not a destroyer of games.

Definitely will keep subbing for now. I'm only level 37 on my highest character in the Daggerfall faction line, I still have the rest of this story and the other 2 faction stories to play through*

    *Keep in mind I am a listen-to-every-dialog, talk-to-everyone, search-everywhere, loot-all-the-things kind of player...and an alt-a-holic.

Also, there is nothing else that is catching my eye on the horizon.

Not a chance. The PVP is a joke and the PVE is tedious and boring...not to mention the bugs and botters. The game will be f2p within 12-18 months, I might check it out then if/when real PVP is added and the bugs/botters are gone (which will likely never happen)

I will be checking out ArcheAge and possibly Wildstar.

It is designed with skill points to assign, enchants to place on equipment and short duration buffs and debuffs. It's designed to allow you to play to a much higher level if you have some basic information.

Just because you just want to just potter about in the world killing skeavers, or fail in group content and blame someone else, there are some who don't. There are those who embrace the team nature of a multiplayer game of any scale and want to be a worthwhile member of that team. So stop with this sanctimonious attitude; you play the game you enjoy and let others play it the way they enjoy. Makes no difference to your gameplay experience if somewhere else in the game there's a group of players actually doing things well.

Did you ever wonder why wow lost 4 mio subs lately? Its because of raging wizards that demand that everyone plays the game professional and as a job.

You guys want to play at a professional level which would be fine, but then you also demand that everyone else does so and this is wrong.

People that demand a professional environment in MMO´s with DPS meters or Gearscore etc. don't want these tools to improve their own game, but to exclude and harass other gamers.

MMO´s were a much better world before those API things started to appear with the end of Vanilla.

End of vanilla? Youve been able to mod since day one of vanilla...

I will be hanging around for a fair while, The game is great for a new mmo. I am just wondering what they will do and how good the game will be if this is just the start.
More challenging rewarding content both pve and pvp and I'll stay for a while. I must say the easy nature of this game and basically enforced soloing is making it get boring.

Need more challenge more content that rewards and requires groups.

I got no problem with the quest grind to vr10 but endgame has to be worth it. I wouldn't care if there was a gear grind or just something to work towards even at vr10 or vr12 it will be when craglorn is out.

Also the pvp needs more depth.
How about my idea of moving the bosses who drop good loot to Cyrodil.
It will make an entertaining solution to the bot problem but not sure if it could be called PvP or PvE.

I had a better idea of beefing up the delves in the first place.

You could modify the UI and some functionality (like bag sorting, some crafting helper, equip compare). I think he refers to all the 'raid crutches' that some many raiders couldn't live without, those IIRC came out months later. I also remember that Blizzard closed some API hooks that allowed actions to be triggered (like recasting buff automatically when it ran out) because addons were 'exploiting' them

I will sub again. Because I know that an MMO on day one is not the same as the third month...or the sixth...or at a year mark.

Decursive and such yes. CTRA was required since vanilla and DBM was available since fordver that I recall. I didnt raid in vanilla past MC but bosses didnt have anything that would have "mandated" an addon until Naxx. I used it in BC, when it was introduced to me, and since, most of its features were put in the default ui.

I cant recall any that automatically recast buffs on expiration, but I remember whispercast, which autocast when you sent a whisper with a keyword. Mostly used by paladins, who if they werent staying out of combat to rez, were spending the entire fight buffing 40 people with 5 minute buffs... gods that game sucked then.

Loved the game until Skyshrine made it raid or die and our group couldnt do dungeons because the tank/healer werent raid geared. I was, but I can only do so much on a dirge/illusionist.

My one friend got sick, the other two ragequit after we couldnt do anything, and I got bored with raiding and quit.

    Short answer: Yes.

Longer answer: Until the next WoW expansion comes out :stuck_out_tongue: Not for any fault of ESO, mind, as I'm fully enjoying myself, taking my time, poking into every hole and methodically completing every quest. I just have horrendous gamer ADD and can never fully stick with anything anymore for more than a few months. Though I have a tendency to keep my sub until I come back a bit later lol.

Of course, I've always been a "quester", preferring leveling over end game, casual content over hard-core end game. I used to do the hard-core stuff, hours of raiding, leading raids, etc. Heck, in college I would go to bed at 10ish, wake up and 1:30 to raid until 4:00am, go back to sleep until 7:30am and then go to class. After developing standing narcolepsy, I calmed down a bit.

So far, I'm enjoying the pace, the environment, the quests. I stay because of that, and anyone who isn't enjoying it should go. And not saying this to be snarky, but if you aren't having fun don't do it! It's not your work place, you don't have to be here 9-5. There's something out there for everyone, and all should be able to find something they like to play.

But since then, in a single day, I read about 3 """""new"""""" exploits type.

The third one was : animation clipping + macroing

    No.
    Just no.
I played DCUO. And it killed the pvp for many, myself included.
From what I ve seen, Zenimax is not able to deal with this kind of problem.

Not really. WoW devotes much of their resources to fit the game to casuals. From what I can tell, the reason why WoW loses so many subscribers in the churn is that its just an old game. There are only so many ways to re-arrange the 'furniture' in the game before players reach the point where they feel they've seen that, done that before. It still is a good, feature rich game for new players. That's why they are in newer markets like Asia and Latin America.

The subscription numbers for WoW will blip up when the new expansion is released later this year. Then the numbers will drift back down again after old players get their fill.

The problem with WoW is they wowify the game even further with every expansion. I left after Pandaria because it saw the beginnings of my alts being treated as a single entity. Something ESO already does btw.

It's things like that and other built in tediousness, (trade, inv) added to the many missing QOL features that will drive players to cancel ..I know those are the issues I'm watching.

I went ahead and cancelled both my accounts a few days ago. I've been playing these games long enough to have seen this pattern many many times before. The game wasn't ready for launch, has massive issues when it does launch, and now the Dev team are going to spend the next 6 months chasing their tails trying to put out 1 fire from another and the real issues this game has will get pushed back to do PR damage control. Sorry, not interested in funding that mess when they knew better before launch.
