I might, i mean, I gave SWTOR that courtesy, and i saw the writing on the wall there within a week.
but they really need to break away from this elder scrolls thing, and add some real MMO features to the game.
Meaning they should make it WoW with different graphics?
No. Many (if not most) of the players here came because this is the Elder Scrolls Online.
no, meaning the game needs to give people basic information about what's going on.
many if not most of the players came here expecting an online MMO to be the same experience as the single player game.
pssst, it's not
Basic information? Do you mean floaty numbers? I love me some floaty numbers.
But in all seriousness, how do you not know what's going on? Are giant balls of fire not a big enough sign that you're being hit with fire?
i'm talking about debuffs, poison effects, curses, player names, etc.
basic info makes the game a WoW clone?
Bugs happen and although it's ticking me off to have to relog a few times a session, I can tell they are working on it.
My basic problem so far is the game is way too easy and I'm bored to tears. I'm only using Crystal Fragments, and at 26 am still two shotting everything. Beings I've been doing every last possible thing in each zone, I'm over level for most of my quests.I'm hoping the game play will become more challenging as I level, but to be honest, it's hard to log in most nights.

Player names? Don't need to see them.
Debuffs, etc.? I've been fine without seeing them. Maybe if you try playing the game as designed, you'll find that you don't miss the floaty numbers.

It is designed with skill points to assign, enchants to place on equipment and short duration buffs and debuffs. It's designed to allow you to play to a much higher level if you have some basic information.
Just because you just want to just potter about in the world killing skeavers, or fail in group content and blame someone else, there are some who don't. There are those who embrace the team nature of a multiplayer game of any scale and want to be a worthwhile member of that team. So stop with this sanctimonious attitude; you play the game you enjoy and let others play it the way they enjoy. Makes no difference to your gameplay experience if somewhere else in the game there's a group of players actually doing things well.

Actually, your health bar shows some status effects, like bleeding (arrows pointing inward) or regenerating/leeching (arrows pointing outward), poison is shown as a gas cloud around the character(unless that's disease...) and so on. Same on NPC body and health bar. The devs said a lot of times they want people to concentrate on what's going on, not staring at bars

Isn't it funny that I'm perfectly capable of performing well in my group without add-ons? It's almost like they've designed a game that doesn't require its players to have a whole host of extra add-ons to stay "serious" (because this is serious business).
My lightning form makes a lot of other effects hard to see.
I have trouble seeing the cues for power attacks and casts to interrupt through it.
Its like some effects cover others.

I had the same issue with not being able to see the cues when I used lightning form, so I set combat cues on always. I don't care if it's 'cheap' to have the game tell me when I can block or interrupt at least I can see it now.
I love the game overall.
I think it's fun. I (usually) feel immersed (zone chat always off. Play off-hours). I met some great and fun people. I am attached to my characters. Really enjoy the quest lines and enjoyed the main story. Enjoy the combat system.
But unfortunately I won't continue. Botting and cheaters is one reason. But the biggest reason is real (EDIT) life. I have to get my act together because I've started my own business recently.
I hope to come back someday. Today will be my last day.
