Well for the most part people are optimistic , even if its cautiously optimistic. that's how I see it also. they fixed the bank issue which was the big issue to me.
There are a few quest bugs but not many that are serious and its mainly side quests.
Last night and this morning the gold spammers were virtually non existent. so they have been on top of that.
Really the biggest problem is just they are not good at communicating what they are doing and I am hopeful they will improve on that.
I for one will keep my sub for now.
I am not interested in an auction house like a few whine about, The inventory management can be a bit tedious but is manageable.
This game has way more plusses than minuses.

Yes I will. I want to support them in making this game a great game.

Also i am looking forward to getting to the 50+ levels, I don't like to level fast. I started a new character after trying out some others, finally found my main now, and have spent the last three nights on the starter island fishing and mat collecting. I am level 6 and still wish I wasn't leveling so fast.

But this is just me :)

Sorry, the setting is called 'active combat tips'. If you put that to always show, then you get the message you can block etc all the time instead of the first time only in the tutorial.

I actually do not see a setting for this.

I agree with the OP. FTP games are lame. Take DDO for instance, you only have access to a fraction of the content and even if you do pay an optional monthly fee you still get charged for items and cohorts.

Think of it this way. If you go into an arcade you pay 50 cents to play a game. That is all you are paying for ESO if you play once a day for a month. Is it that hard to come up with 50 cents/day?

In terms of bugs. Bugs are to be expected when any MMO launches. I have had several myself and it is irritating, but I have yet to encounter a game-breaking bug.

Won't subscribe until they get a handle on the bot problem. There are some seriously questionable back end design decisions that went into this game that have made botting and teleporting way too easy and prevalent.

I hate F2P games with a passion, but if I'm going to see dozens of bots literally everywhere I go then I might as well be playing a F2P game where at least they don't pretend to give a damn.

Yes definitely, here with 40 pals, actually enjoy questing for a change, great pvp. And as long as adventure zones are challenging we are in for the long hawl.

Aside from bugs, social aspects really need improving, guild functionality, chat, nameplates etc.

yeah im sure you have 40 pals playing, bud.

40 kids in a guild doesnt mean you know them all.

I had chosen the 90 day subscription, but recently swapped to the 30 day. Going to play it by ear.

Something has to be done with the guild stores. Searches are a must. Preferably a search would check all five of your current guilds' stores.

For the most part the game is a ton of fun, so i'll be taking it 30 days at a time.

The patches have been disappointing to date, though I'm glad they're making some progress with the bugs. Though my experience has been pretty bug free, I understand the priority.

A number or minor interface features seem to be where most of my complaints lie.
    • Open multiple windows, (Inventory, bank, guild bank, guild store.)
    • Browse your crafting without being at a crafting station.
    • Better buff, debuff, and proc management, (even if it is made possible only through addons.)
    • Settings save across all characters, or at least allow importing of setting from other characters. (keybinds, social, layout, addons, ect.)
    • I'd love to be able to respec skill points selectively. (Respec's cost is per point, so it seems to lend itself to the method.)
    • Mounted sprint would be nice if it could be a toggle. (Quite minor, I know, but might as well toss all of my thoughts in.)
    • Preview an item's actual appearance before crafting it.
    • Weapon swap to allow both sets to be the same weapon.
    • Perhaps, weapon swap to optionally switch other equipment too.

I do enjoy the game, and I wish it much success.

I'd also love to see some indication of the tweaks and things they have in the pipeline. Even for the minor ones.

Finally for the love of all things holy, fix these forums.

More challenging rewarding content both pve and pvp and I'll stay for a while. I must say the easy nature of this game and basically enforced soloing is making it get boring.

Need more challenge more content that rewards and requires groups.

I got no problem with the quest grind to vr10 but endgame has to be worth it. I wouldn't care if there was a gear grind or just something to work towards even at vr10 or vr12 it will be when craglorn is out.

Also the pvp needs more depth.

i'm talking about debuffs, poison effects, curses, player names, etc.

basic info makes the game a WoW clone?

Player names? Don't need to see them.
Debuffs, etc.? I've been fine without seeing them. Maybe if you try playing the game as designed, you'll find that you don't miss the floaty numbers.

Maybe you don't need to see them, perhaps others do. sorry to say but your opinions don't are not my opinions nor are they facts by any stretch

I canceled my script three days ago. While I play for reasons outside of combat, I still expect to be challenged. I'm not paying for someone else to play the game for me. If they continue to allow farmers and botters to camp bosses, then I don't need a script.

May 4 is coming up fast. I think most people, meaning more than 50%, will continue playing through their first 'free' month. It'll be interesting to see if zone chat really slows down when the first monthly subscription is due. The second and third months are probably where the churn might become noticable. So we'll see in the summer.

It is designed with skill points to assign, enchants to place on equipment and short duration buffs and debuffs. It's designed to allow you to play to a much higher level if you have some basic information.

Just because you just want to just potter about in the world killing skeavers, or fail in group content and blame someone else, there are some who don't. There are those who embrace the team nature of a multiplayer game of any scale and want to be a worthwhile member of that team. So stop with this sanctimonious attitude; you play the game you enjoy and let others play it the way they enjoy. Makes no difference to your gameplay experience if somewhere else in the game there's a group of players actually doing things well.

Did you ever wonder why wow lost 4 mio subs lately? Its because of raging wizards that demand that everyone plays the game professional and as a job.

You guys want to play at a professional level which would be fine, but then you also demand that everyone else does so and this is wrong.

People that demand a professional environment in MMO´s with DPS meters or Gearscore etc. don't want these tools to improve their own game, but to exclude and harass other gamers.

MMO´s were a much better world before those API things started to appear with the end of Vanilla.

Not really. WoW devotes much of their resources to fit the game to casuals. From what I can tell, the reason why WoW loses so many subscribers in the churn is that its just an old game. There are only so many ways to re-arrange the 'furniture' in the game before players reach the point where they feel they've seen that, done that before. It still is a good, feature rich game for new players. That's why they are in newer markets like Asia and Latin America.

The subscription numbers for WoW will blip up when the new expansion is released later this year. Then the numbers will drift back down again after old players get their fill.

I made my choice when I needed to use a third party program to not get a headache.

Glad I never spent money on this game; the Beta and the subscription fees set my decision in stone

I do appreciate the fact that new games have glitches. That said, I have a finite amount of patience for them. I just had a wonderful one that made me targetable by every mob in the room even ones 40 yards away. If this is still happening in two months then I will certainly bail. I am confident, however, that the developers will be able to fix what is broken before long.

It will make an entertaining solution to the bot problem but not sure if it could be called PvP or PvE.
