Oh look yet another of these worthless threads that simply give the haters another platform and the apologists the ability to defend the indefensible.

Me, I'm subscribing because for all its flaws I'm really enjoying the game and see myself doing so for some time .. whether I'll still be here in six months I have no idea, the jury's still out.

Uninstalled the game with 20 days left. So many issues... Feel cheated and this will affect if I ever buy an Elder Scrolls again. TES6: I will only buy if in the bargain bin after it has gone down to costing the price of a packet of peanuts. Threw away too much money, left a bad taste in my mouth. Don't trust 'em ever again.
Some people don't have much patience obviously. Clearly you're not interested in the game getting fixed, you didn't get the instant gratification you need apparently.

  • codyyoungnub18_ESO
Yes probably for a good long while.

When I do quit I will quit the same as I did every other game, I certainly wouldn't visit the forums and say I am, I would only do that if I was claiming to quit in hopes of garnering attention (basically throwing a tantrum).

    More than likely, yes.

There are only 3 other games i'm looking forward to.

The Division might be pushed back to 2015.
Witcher 3 HAS been pushed back to 2015.
Eternal Crusade may be out in 2015 but I think that may get pushed to 2016.

So i've got a lot of time to fill and I do enjoy the PvP here so it will keep me going for a while yet.

Different studios. You're only punishing your self by skipping the awesome Bethesda created games because of the issues you've had with a ZOS created game.

    This.

The developers on both teams have said that the single-player series will remain separate.

I put in for a 3 month sub. If I'm not done by then I might renew. I knew there would be bugs from having played the beta, but I've never found or been hit by a bug that would cause me to hate the game. Prolific minor bugs have been a sad part of TES since the ages of Daggerfall, so I guess I'm used to it.

nope, 10 days into the game made me realize what a hack job this is. And being an elder scrolls game I cant understand how they managed to screw this up.
Its safe to say that I`m very disapointed :(

I dunno. Not sure what's keeping me playing at max level.

I kinda feel robbed. Molag bal and his threat to Nirn defeated within two weeks of release, where the whole story came off as a minor inconvenience, more than a death or glory struggle.

What's left? Repetitive PvP and craglorn when it's released. Not sure I'll be renewing the sub after the end of May, but I may revisit at intermittent times during the year, rather than a continual subscription.

Doing month to month subscription, but at this point, plan on being here indefinitely! I just can't comprehend how people are running out of game content in the first 30 days.

The mindset of blowing through the game and leveling your character and getting rich as fast as possible using whatever means necessary is just amazing to me!

I'm actually looking forward to the first 30 days running out! I have this theory that a lot of people that aren't any fun to be in the game with will just disappear!!

Also, when you get to veteran it's so long to level up. It takes probably almost a map for you to level. I dont find it fun for doing quests all day.

    ...

Well i will sub as i find the game amazingly fun. Also i don't care about how long it takes me to level up because that is not the aim for me in an mmo. It is following the story and do stuff i like and have fun doing group quests. If you play that way you have fun and you level up in the process.

But where the game really shines is the PvP. Yes there are some issues, and yes you can get zerged. I loved playing WAR and they had the same issues except tanks really acted like tanks because of collision detection. Only same alliance could pass though.

In fact.. i already subbed. The creators made a beautifull looking game with a good story and interesting characters. And i look forward to new content in the future and more PvP fun.

Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

No. Do not see a reason for it, did hit veteran level and the grind for veteran levels is too much for me.
Also the pvp was not satisfying in my eyes. I am going to waste my time on Tera for a while though I am bored from it as well. Maybe Wildstar will be my thing maybe something else. If I have to be fair I am getting bored of games way too fast. It is not like ESO was a bad game.
I enjoyed it and veteran dungeons were fun so I cannot tell you why I really did dislike the game.
Maybe the main reasons are the dungeon ques for the dps which were expected and I should have known better and the lack of arena pvp.
Maybe I am totally cursed to play dota and rage till the end of my life . Don't know still the game was kind of fun but I was expecting it to be much more like Darkfall not as much as WoW but as I sad before I got my moneys worth of it maybe I will see you again sometime.

    Yes, I agree with you.

ESO has a really nice graphic that literally no other games can be compared with. In addition, it has a really nice story line as well. However, i'm just wondering can one be doing quests forever and ever?

will decide in another week whether i want it to kick in.

I might, i mean, I gave SWTOR that courtesy, and i saw the writing on the wall there within a week.

but they really need to break away from this elder scrolls thing, and add some real MMO features to the game.

Yes going to keep subscribing to the game for a long time yet, unless they start to add silly things that break the game lore like christmas events etc.

Even with the bugs I am finding ESO to be one of the best MMO's I have played since the release of Dark Age of Camelot and Eve online. No others come close.

Yes, I love it, warts and all, Im not planning on leaving anytime soon.

I cant help but think that anyone reaching VR10 in a couple of weeks is like someone going fine dining in a Michelin starred restaurant, scoffing 10 courses in 5 minutes, then complaining that it was a waste of money and didnt taste of much. Just my view, I know many will disagree, i dont care :) I wouldnt defend all the irritations in the game, but I love it anyway, and I will stick with it I reckon

This is maybe the 300th post that I have seen on this subject. No, I'm not going to cancel my subscription to a game because of the bugs it has in the first year of the game. I don't know what most people are expecting from the game, but this isn't WoW. It's not almost 15 years old. The first edition of WoW came out in 2001. It's 2014 and the game still has problems. Any game that is being played non-stop on a server worldwide is going to have its bugs. IMO, people need to get over the preliminary bugs that the game is gonna have, and just need to play. It's frustrating yes. It gets boring sometimes yes. I just think people need to lighten up on the criticisms. The game is actually doing much better then other games in the first month. Give it time, the game will develop in time.

For me it depends how the future content is designed. As I don't want to play hardcore anymore, I need accessible content.

I like the idea of public questing and dungeons or pvp, so I hope they will keep supporting it and that their focus isn't only on raid content like in so many other MMO´s these days.

I will continue to subscribe; I currently have a 6 month subscription and I have been enjoying every moment. I do know about the bugs people have encountered and I have run into a few myself; but the ones I've seen have been minor (I've been mainly playing PvE for the moment and am only lvl 25). So far the patching process and attempts at addressing problems is a good start; I think there is room for improvement in how and why it is applied (however as the game just was released this may be a mute point).

My subscription plans are no different than any MMO, whether my time in World of Warcraft, or World of Tanks; I subscribe or buy premium time while I enjoy playing and if I'm on hiatus I don't. Nothing complicated; no mystery's.

Ok how about every time I zone or some times die, my passives, my buffs and skills bug out?

Every time I die in pvp I have to relog to get my class to work. That is game breaking to me.

I will stay subbed up for the foreseeable future (or until I am shipped out somewhere again and can't)...It fits into my play style and my schedule really well. I can group up with my friends or if I need some down time I can solo as well. The game fits me nicely.

Bugs and glitches aside, I have said it in other posts but I must have been lucky because the only bugs that hit me were the loading screen one. To be honest that was not bad, gave me time to grab a drink before it loaded lol.

I have wasted more money on less so I will toss my money to them willingly till I am no longer happy.

** Oh and I am not a fangirl or gurl or what ever the slang is, I am fickle when it comes to games and not loyal to any. I will stay as long as I am enjoying myself and relaxing. When it becomes unfun or makes me stress and I cant laugh about it, that is when it is time to leave. To many people get stressed and threaten to leave ... or just complain...if you are not happy to the point you are stressed or mad or pissed over a game ...that to me is a huge time to leave sign

no, meaning the game needs to give people basic information about what's going on.

many if not most of the players came here expecting an online MMO to be the same experience as the single player game, and are finding out the hard way that it's not

But in all seriousness, how do you not know what's going on? Are giant balls of fire not a big enough sign that you're being hit with fire?
