From 1.0.7 patch notes posted this morning:
    Vampire
    • Fixed an issue with the ability Bat Swarm so it will no longer stack with itself. It will instead refresh if re-cast.
    • Reduced the cost reduction per stage of vampire abilities.
    • Reduced the movement speed bonus of the ability Mist Form.
    No more bat-stacking! :D

Thats a good change but doesnt prevent perma-Bats

The reduction of vamp reduction will help with that some on DK, who were the much bigger problem. What killed you so fast with those DK was the 5+ swarms they had going at once doing 1000 damage a second to everyone around them. That's done now. Back away and shoot that *** and they'll die.

They also won't be able to pull that "super speed mist form away as soon as they hit 70% health" crap. This is a GREAT patch for PvP.

As the game ages, skills will be "nerfed".

The ultimate issue is that a lot of people claimed that the issue with the Vamps is strictly because of the skills, and not the opposing users ability to learn to adapt and overcome those skills.

Unfortunately, as Zenimax has learned, users will ALWAYS take the lower road and demand skill nerfing instead of accepting the responsibility of learning how to adjust to overcome.

The cost reduction for vampires going into today's patch doesn't go far enough.
    • 21% vampire never feeds (health regen means nothing in ESO)
    • 15% Akavir 3-set bonus
    • 15% Sorcerer Power Stone passive
    • 03% Seducer 3-set bonus
    • 03% Breton
57% cost reduction (could go with 6-piece Of The Arena for 15% and 3-piece Seducer for 3%, same result). ZOS has no problem nerfing Werewolves (why bother?) but the game remains be-a-vampire-or-be-weak. Sad.

Werewolves are still a bad, bad joke. Transforming remains a self-nerf, dramatically reducing your damage output and making you significantly weaker defensively with the loss of all useful abilities.

You're totally right! I should have learned to overcome someone being able to drop 5+ of the same DoT AoE Ultimate that stacked on top of each other for 1k damage a second. What was I thinking! I should have just stood back and used silverbolts! /eyeroll

The reason the skilline was so powerful is because it wasn't working as intended. Don't cry because you can't exploit the skill line anymore.

    1. I acknowledged in the VERY FIRST line of my post (the one you quoted) that skills would get nerfed as the game ages. You seem to have skipped over that in your haste to spew forth your opinion regarding what you perceive to be an attack on your manhood because someone didn't agree with you.

    2. Yes, you SHOULD learn to overcome/mitigate skills. It keeps those that do need to be nerfed from doing max damage while you stand there with your thumb up your butt crying. It is called strategy, learn it!

    3. Your assumption that I game/exploit/cheat is part of the problem. Just because someone doesn't agree with your entire argument doesn't mean they are one of the ones who is participating in the game mechanic in a way that hurts your ego.

A lot of people have agreed that the skills needed tweaking/fixing/nerfing. What a lot of us are saying is that nerfing them wont be the end all, be all, fix that some of YOU seem to think it will be.

Learning how to play the game, including how to mitigate skills, plays an equal part of it.

There are SO many fails that the OP engaged in with this fight, that they immediately blamed it on the Vamp skills instead of learning to adapt and overcome the fight they were up against. And had it not been Vamps, because of their own failures in the fight, they still would have lost because of the mistakes they made and blaming their loss on "OMG teh skillz is leet and OP" wouldn't have changed the outcome, they still would have lost.

Yes, I got spanked, multiple times in PvP. (see above, I am on the red team, the maps were all solid blue, meaning I was on the losing team).

No only did I NOT benefit from the issues, I didn't engage in them either.

As with the other user, your attempt at claiming that I am a gamer/cheater/exploiter/benefitter of the issue is invalid and your attempt at claiming that I am only proves my point regarding the issue specifically raised in this thread.

If I may say so, you seemed to respond to his opinion far more brutally than he did to yours-that being, mentions of thumbs up butts & assuming he feels (is it a he?) his manhood is threatened-blah,blah,blah.

If you played any PvP aside from this game, and managed to be remotely good at it, then you too would dislike a game that rewards un-counterable behavior. I.e. the zergs of vamps, who stealth around, then pop on your massive group and annihilate you all within 2 seconds. Yep, there's loads of counter play there.

I have a whole action bar devoted to vampires, which honestly sucks because it used to be my utility/tank bar but now it's just absolutely necessary to have an bar of abilities devoted to beating one SUB-CLASS in the game. Not broken, eh? Mage light, silver bolts, both morphed, a shield to attempt to survive the AOE, one cc ability, one damaging spell... Sure, I can take down a vampire alone, it can prove incredibly challenging, or very easy, depending on the players individual skill. But outplaying a massive pack of vamps who do your health and more in a matter of seconds in aoe damage, is just plain silly. If you think it's possible, then you sir are quite confused.

Anyway, the upcoming patch speaks for itself.

No, it was because Zenimax is incompetent. The problems with batswarm were reported and illustrated in BETA months before launch and what did Zenimax do? *nothing*

I got Vampirism 2 days after the official launch by camping Riften and the next day as I unlocked the batswarms morph I knew immediately that it was going to be ridiculous in PvP with the kind of survivability you can get if you want to. Even then, people were trying to tell Zenimax that it was going to be a problem, mere days after launch and what did they do? *nothing*

While I myself never abused and, indeed, avoided PvP alltogether because of it as I despise abusing things that are obviously broken, you cannot blame people for something that Zenimax knowingly let happen.

They let people exploit daedric motif spawns for weeks. Now they are letting bots farm infinite Jute spawns which, with max rank extraction, gives legendary mats at the same rate as any other cloth refining, meaning people will sit on hundreds of legendary mats, if not thousands.

If Bat stacking was the issue why not make the ulti unstackable?

    They did.
