Well would you look at that, yet another one that believes that a game at release should be 100% bug free without any problems and any hitches, that a game just released shouldn't have any growing issues and expect a complete masterpiece.

This however is the simple truth; if you can't handle an MMO on release, you shouldn't buy an MMO on release. Simple as that. I have yet to see any MMO that haven't had any problems at all, but because of WoW, people expect that the game should be spotless and they kind of forget that WoW isn't exactly a new release.

I've had my draft of bugs in this game from the beginning, but I also knew the risk when I went onto purchasing the game on release. I knew there would be bugs, problems, hitches and glitches, but I also saw the beauty underneath, and the most important aspect of all; This isn't World of Warcraft. You can actually die if you're over confident. And the quests aren't composed of picking up 100 000 things because some Goblin told you so. So if people can't handle the bugs, adios, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

I stopped watching when he gave the spoiler warning, but from what I saw, the video seems reasonable enough and doesn't really fit with the melodramatic tone of the OP.

Yet another poster who fails to engage brain and just posts a reply without bothering to read the topic.

None of what you said has any relevance to what this thread is about.

I posted a concern that bugs in the game were now getting so serious (depending on your point of view) that bad publicity was being generated and that was a bad thing.

At no stage have I ever said things like I expected 100% bug free etc etc.

Please read a post before making repliesz.

Yeah, I got a PC. I just don't feel the need to post it's specifications for an ego boost.

I am 1 of Force's 350k subscribers. That certainly doesn't mean that I agree with everything he says or don't form my own opinions. I also don't think this video condemns ESO to go FTP, and I think that notion is ridiculous. Whether Force says it, or anybody that plays the game, we all know there are bugs, and we all know they're being addressed, albeit slower than I'd like. This shouldn't be a shock to anybody.

Any of the other subscribers watch the video rant about the Imperial edition where he nerd-rages about exclusive digital content? Zenimax has crossed the line! After watching that, you would have thought he would never touch the game again, yet here he still remains. I think that speaks volumes.

I am also a subscriber of Force, and yes it sucks, but i also know given all the crap going on and the stuff they are trying to fix its not in my best interest to ever abandon a quest...ever! he mentioned cold harbor, that was fixed (he said it in the video that it was as well), he is well and way beyond a majority of players because of zomg levels so yes he is going to encounter bugs that others havent gotten to yet, and yes there will be less noticeability of those bugs because he is so far above and beyond. yes it sucks but also his first thought was to go to kragenmoor which is after virak? the place just before was vivec's antlers if the quest isnt in virak go to vivec's antlers, its even in order on cadwells list....common sense is so rare these days its a super power....

    LOL.

So presumably you are so rich you just buy stuff without regard to critics/reviewers. Yeah right. So you have never bought anything without researching other peoples opinions 1st. Yeah right. Just buy stuff and make your mind up after you bought it.

You must have a house filled with some prety crap stuff.

Considering some of the games these "reviewers" give praise to are over hyped garbage like Titanfall ..... I think i'll stick with not paying them any attention thankyou muchly.

I sure miss the days when MMORPG's were a niche market with a much smaller player base. It sure was a better community overall.

Only reinforced by their moron followers who use phrases like "professional utubers".

Who is this Force, and why didn't they use a more unique and SEO friendly name? Why do I care what they sputter into their microphone between doughnuts?

If you don't like a game, cancel your sub. That will make the company listen. Nobody needs to watch youtube garbage to decide for them.

I love force. Im sure he is loving this thread right now lol. That said im not sure why he abandoned a quest, he should know better, but there are still bugged quests that on release should be working.

People should be happy that he released this video because i can bet ZOS will see this and we will see a fix soon enough. You have to realize that Force along with all the other test players really did us a favor. They played through the game when it was a crapping baby. Those guys are the reason the game is as good as it is now. If it wasnt for them speaking up about stuff like adding first person mode and many other things we would be without them.

For those that think force is a nobody or dont like him i dont think he really cares but thats just me. When he streams he also has the most viewers. Only person i ever see beat him is that little angry guy named joe.

    1) I am not a follower - where did I say I was ?
    2) I would dispute that I am a moron - but then I would.
    3) What would you call someone who posts videos to YouTube for a living ? He earns a living by monetising his videos. I think even a non moron like me would tend to call that a profession. Tell you what - just for you I will call it a "job" instead.

    Surely.

It means he has a boat load of viewers and gets paid in a couple of ways. Advertising on his channel, sponsorships.. whatever.

P.S. Calling a reviewer or a critic professional is an oxymoron. Anyone takes someone's opinion because they are popular is a popular loser. Oh another oxymoron!

In all honesty, I think it's a generational thing.

I would be willing to stake money on my observation that most of the whiners seem to fall into the 16-25 year old demographic.

People who were around and sentient during the early MMO days were enthralled by every little change they made. Just being on EQ1 was like magic.

That sense of appreciation doesn't really fade over time. Every little step forward the gaming industry makes incites further awe. And why shouldn't it? We're using electricity and metal to transmit realistic video around the world with milliseconds of latency.

But for someone who grew up with an iPhone in their hand and a laptop in front of them from age 8 onward, it's a lot harder to make an impression. They want perfection, they want it yesterday, and they want it connected to Facebook and Youtube seamlessly -- and they want it for free.

    350k subscribers != 350k simultaneous viewers

So, comparing this to how many viewers a television show gets in a one hour block is ludicrous.

I've lost count of how many channels I've subscribed to and never returned to watch a single time.

You guys don't give this Force guy enough credit. I don't know who he is but he's not a whinny little brat like some of you make it sound.

For those who don't want to watch the video due to the spoiler warning, his main gripe is the idea that there are game-progressing quests that are bugged and are preventing players from gaining access to particular end-game zones. Those zones are locked until players complete said bugged quests.

Like... the quest(s) in question don't EXIST for his client. A valid complaint if you ask me.

The quest did exist he abandoned it, and his first thought was to go to kragenmoor which is after virak, which is not only indicated by the quest givers themselves but also the journal he was following that is in his quest journal, knowing full well the bugs that are going on and he abandoned one thinking to do it later without possible consequence?
