    I am also having the same problem. Also, the Game Consultant tells me that there is an update, but it doesn't tell me where to get it or how to get it (and install it). What use is it to tell me that there is an update if it doesn't allow me to actually update it?

    Up until just now (12:15 GMT-8.) I was unable to do a repair, but the repair seems to be doing something.

    Same here, "failed version recognition" after patch,then a repair button, after that I get another error, telling me to do something under launcher then contact customer service?? finally let me just repair (crosses fingers)

    just close the launcher...then restart it..it will patch with no errors

    After getting a failed patch error. I restarted the launcher twice and repaired. Same error. No go.

    Edit: Third time worked and it is good now. BTW, Zenimax could be a little more helpful in suggesting to restart the launcher instead of contacting Customer Support.

    I had to close the launcher twice before it worked, but it does seem to clear up the error. Beyond that I don't know.

    Ok, same problem after a repair and close/open of the launcher. "Error 209, PatchManifestError_VersionFail", "Unable to determine current version. Please run the Game Consultant Tool...".

    Its about time this Launcher gets replaced with something that actually works all the time. The great the game itself is this is really, really bad.

    I didnt care waiting for the servers being up again, but that...come on...

    First time this has happened to me. Got the error, closed the launcher, restarted it and it did not re-patch. Repairing now, so we'll see...

    Edit: Repair seems to have fixed this for me.

    I also have this, but occasionally I get Error 206 as well: PatchManifestError_UnzipFailed. "Unable to unzip manifest, please click repair for your game. If the issue persists please contact customer support."

    Cant log in. Restarted everything...
    Still cant log in.
    Restarted again, oh look, a client patch. Game should have picked this up after the FIRST restart.
    That said, another FAIL.
    Now, Error 209. Unable to determine current version. FAIL.
    Edit.. Another FAIL. The repair feature is not working.

    After clicking lots of times on repair, it seens the launcher is trying to repair itself. Let's if it works.

    Seems to be the error folks are getting, unfortunately the "Game Consultant Tool (located under Launcher Settings)" does not happen to be there at least for me.

    Looking at the game launcher, if this is in fact where I'm supposed to be looking, I didn't find it.

    I did find a file called "GameConsultant.exe" in the folder where the game launcher file is located

    Which launched,

    I hope this is helpful in resolving the issue (no, I cannot log in at this time).

    Go into the consultants, under the ABOUT tab. Once it finishes it should let you push repair. If it does not work after repair than dunno.

    If you are getting error 209, please try the following:
    • First, please ensure you are accessing the game via the launcher, not the .exe file.
    • Try closing out of the launcher and re-open it, then run a repair.
    • If you try to repair and it does not work, please delete all .version files in the game's sub folders and try repair again.


    *Please note that if you do delete all .version files, the launcher may require you to re-download the game.
