Missing Bank Items, Bank Slots, & Skill Points

    Well. I have a main char.. plus 7 alts, all whom craft or store the gear / supplies for crafting. I have decided after the 3rd bank reset and 10's of thousands of gold loss, not to upgrade my bank slots anymore. While getting by with alts is do able. It is a huge pain in the ass. My main has 100 slots, my food guy has 80, the rest of my alts are 70-80 slots each. Let me tell ya .. I have to purchase a bag upgrade or two a day as my main moves onto higher level content and new zones.

    In short.... unless you have a main that can afford to toss out 5-20k a day in upgrading bags, this is a deal breaker. Myself I love the game and will see how things go come renewal time.

    Lost bank slots is only part of the problem. The concern is primarily about the lack of data integrity that places everyone's characters at risk. It is also about the lack of communication.

    Perhaps you'll just shrug and carry on as if nothing happened if your capped character in the near future has all skill points deleted, armor and mounts deleted, etc. along with your purchased bank slots. That's your right.

    However, I don't find it laughable that others are concerned about a lack of data integrity in a released game they're expected to pay a monthly fee for. Data integrity is a very serious issue with an online only game.

    Add to that the mishandling of communication about this situation, a situation that existed during beta and has now lasted well over 2 weeks, and I think it's entirely appropriate to cancel subs to send a message to ZOS. Fix it sooner or lose paying customers. ZOS can't get stats on intent. They can get stats on actual pending subs.

    It is my sincere hope that ZOS fixes this quickly and learns from this experience how to communicate better. Subs can always be reestablished if ZOS comes through. I'd love to play and I'd be happy to pay, but I need reasonable trust that my character won't implode because data didn't get passed reliably on the backend.

    Right same situation here. After I spent 4 days of at least 1 hour reloging my alts I decided to upgrade bank again and risk 3rd bank loss, now i can categorize my daily loot/craftmat within 20mins (90slot bank) instead of 60mins (60slot bank). Just hope for full GP refund for lost bank upgrades.

    What is most disturbing to me is the reports that this issue existed in beta and wasn't prioritized before release. Can anyone from closed beta confirm this?

    Yes, using alts to manage inventory is a hassle. I've been doing it since the bug hit over the weekend. However..it takes ME less than 10 minutes total to xfer stuff over from to the other to the other. Usually I can wait to do it until I'm about done for the evening anyway. I also "lost" some food mats that I could use now, but in the end, its not a big deal. Not even remotely.

    My 3rd alt holds all the gems, and some heavy armor stuff that I'm waiting to research. Since I'm at the 3day time now, it doesn't matter where its stored.

    Your solution may work if you just play a single character and do very little crafting. But then, playing only 1/10 of the game may be ok with you. But I switch between playing 5 or 6 toons so just having alts to hold "stuff" doesn't work. I still use this method but here is how it goes.

    Play alt 1 which has 90 bag slots. I usually cannot do anything without at least 30-40 taken up (food, soul shards, pots, research gear, etc) which leaves me with say 60. After about 2-3 quests my inventory is full. Alt 1 decons items then to bank to "consolidate" mats. I withdraw a bunch of stuff to make room so I can transfer items to specific other alts. I have a alt with a full inventory of runes and alchemy. I have an alt with a full inventory of provisioning stuff. I have an alt full of woodworking items to decon and research. I have an alt full of crafting mats that I put on my "low level" list. So I have to log in/out with each of these toons to pickup the items they are holding. Many times after a pickup, I have to immediately decon stuff because their inventories are completely full. Sometimes I will have to repeat this process and log in with main to empty bags for a second time because there wasn't enough room the first. Nevermind if you forget to deposit one or two random items and have to, once again, log in/out to offload those items. This process takes a TON of time. I would say 20-40% of my time playing the game. At least 15 minutes per toon, per switch.

    It is not easy. Trying to keep the chaos organized is a huge pain and a huge time sink. We all paid for a month of play time. 40% of that time shouldn't be managing inventory due to a game bug.

    Reflects my thoughts exactly, and the reason I have unsubscribed until - if and when - they can deliver value and start communicating better. They really need to hire a good PR firm. They clearly don't understand how to manage a crisis in a way that might maintain a good image with the clients.

    I have had my bank reset twice. I lost 2 upgrades the first time and 1 upgrade the second time. The first reset also cost me 5k gold that was stored.

    If this still happens in six months, then you've got something. In the meantime, lighten up, have a tall glass of calm down juice and move on.

    I realize there are bugs and we need to be patient. This bug is huge and it is costing many people LOTS of time to work around. At this point, I certainly expect my slots, items, and gold refunded at some point but that is a given. What I am really interested in here is how they plan to make this right with players.

    We all make mistakes, it's how we handle those mistakes that is important.

    Lost 20 bank slots, and a lot of crafting materials. Also received new mail for Imperial, Pre purchase, Explorer stuff when it happened.

    Cant bypass the prison when i make a new character since it happened also.

    I personally wasn't hit with it in closed beta (thank god) but there were people in the chat complaining that stuff had vanished from their banks, inventories, etc.

    They have just bought the EU server down for additional fix (we had maintenance this morning already) but it doesn't say what it is :'(

    "We will be bringing the EU megaserver down for maintenance today at 11am EDT / 5pm GMT to implement an additional fix. We expect the server to be back online early this afternoon. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we thank you for your patience."

    Not sure how they can have it back up early afternoon as its almost 4.30 pm here... here's hoping for Bank Slots fix (I think I will be disappointed)

    I have now upgraded my bank to 100 slots but it got resetted from 90->60 earlier in the game. All i want is the gold spent on the previous upgrades returned (+-10K).

    Ticket 140409-038713 was closed without my bank upgrades being restored.

    Opened another ticket 140415-002462 and was just told to wait for a patch.

    Sorry but this is unacceptable. It has been over a week. Either fix this or implement a bandaid solution. It isn't possible to play this game properly with 60 bank slots...

    TBH get rid of the bank slot upgrade system it just isn't enough room when you have multiple characters since it is shared.

    I can understand personal inventory upgrades.

    Just do away with the bank upgrade system all together.

    There should be a minimum of bank spaces to allow the storing of at least 1 stack of every crafting material in game.

    I don't mind the shared bank for all of your characters but each character should have their own bank of 60 slots and then the availability of the shared bank of 60 slots. People will still upgrade both but having 60 slots for 8 possible characters is a little ridiculous in my eyes.

    I doubt my issue's been resolved but I haven't heard thing 1 from anyone in support for a few days now so just in case I'm tossing up my reference number

    Only bank slot issues, lost no items as they were spit onto an alt (checked each one to make sure)

    But as my wife and I near veteran levels I'm growing a bit apprehensive, is it more likely for someone to experience the skill point and equipped item loss if they've experienced this bank bug? Are the two not related at all?


    I'm going to be less than happy if I watch all my character's skills and gear up and vanish.

    Only having 60 slots instead of 100 has added about an hour of login/logout and inventory shuffling per day to the way I play. Not to mention the 22k or so gold that vaped. Yes, I will recover, but I certainly understand unsubscribing because of this. I haven't because I really like this game otherwise, but I am almost there myself.

    Drama queen much? Yes console kiddies have ruined games and this is a serious issue but that's no excuse for you to go all drama queen about a simple bug that will be fixed. Get over it.

    No NDA anymore. It did not happen to me during Beta. But I recall that others had bank issues. Not sure if it was this specific bug thou.
