GUILD STORES - LIST WHAT YOU WANT CHANGED.

Totally agree with all suggestions. But, IMHO, not only should there be a much improved search feature but it should also search ALL the guilds you are in and display the results including the guild name.

I have joined 5 trading guilds. How the hell am I supposed to see who is selling what and what is the best price. ATM I have to manually write down the results of the search so I can go back to the one I want. This is just crazy.

Like always in the TES , franchise , where the official devs fail , the people working addons cover.

I have an addon that does just that , it checks all my guild and something im looking for and it shows it to me from cheaper to most expensive.

PS: i still think this guild AH thing is a crappy idea , wonder how long till the devs admit it , hope it is not too late by then.

The guild stores clearly need a lot of work, but I for one would love any searches, (when they become possible,) to search all of my guilds simultaneously. Likewise, perhaps have my listings post to each of the guilds as well.

Being able to open inventory or crafting recipes while browsing at the same time would be a nice touch too!

Splendid - Just what I am looking for . What's it called ?

Agree its a crappy idea but this addon would at least make life bearable.

And yes, thnak god for addon authors. I used to have to keep an Excel spread sheet with all the food mats for recipes I know so I could place the rest on mules. Now I have an addon that puts a marker against an item in the bank if it is in a recipe that I know so I can easily transfer the rest. Course, I still have to manually check when I get a new recipe if I have placed mats on alts.

Well, I say that. I forgot that it is less of a pain now as ZOS kindly deleted 30 of my slots including the mats contained within them.

Yeah, I got a PC. I just don't feel the need to post it's specifications for an ego boost.

I agree with the OP; especially with the lack of information on sold items. I really want to see what item was sold in which guild (and ideally to whom so a potential “future” dialogue could be opened with the buyer).

I totally agree with all aspects.

A search function would be the bare minimum requirement for any auction interface, in my opinion. How it managed to get shipped without such a key feature is not understandable to me.

I also don't understand why the house cut needs to be so high and would like it to be significantly reduced. Additionally I don't really understand why the C.O.D. option for mail is also so expensive (nearly as expensive as the guild shop). It is almost as if ZOS didn't want players to make trading transactions other than face to face.

And where is all the gold going? Its such a waste! Why not let the guild have 5-10% of the store sales? I guess I just don't get it...

ZOS please listen to the ideas in this thread.

Lower fees are needed, and give us a decent search so we can actually find something. Those are my main issues with the guild shops right now.

Would also be great to be able to preview items on your character as well - so we can see what the item would look like when worn.

    1. Filters that WORK - putting a level range for equipment doesn't work. Searching under materials doesn't work. Both of those just list every item there is.

    2. More search categories - Recipes, types of materials broken down by profession, etc.

    3. A keyword search function!

    4. Less of a cut taken out.

    5. Make it so that when I purchase something I get it right away and don't have to relog or use a wayshrine in order to get it any time soon.

Actually the other day I figured out a way that it does work. Maybe I was just lucky and maybe it has something to do with being in more than one guild. What I ended up doing was selecting my criteria for my search (Was looking for honing stones between two of my trade guilds) So I selected materials then changed the quality to green. At first, nothing happened as per usual but when I switched to the second trade guild it indeed worked.

So playing around with it last night I figured out that if you narrow down your search first Weapons>Two Handed>Purple>Level and then hit F to change what guild you search under and hit E to select it, the R to bring the materials up it does work.

Well it does for me, I never had a chance to check this with anyone else at the time but will make some effort tonight to do just that.

Of course with that being said we still need a proper search function and being able to really fine tune our searches down to which craft you are and such would be ideal.

Also, I don't know what you guys have seen but the two trade guild's that I am in both have around 100-150 members in it. I think the stores would be optimal with a full guild, I wonder if ZOS would consider allowing larger guilds to have a reduced house cut. Be a way to encourage fewer medium/small guilds and more larger full guilds.

    100 members- 15%
    250 members- 10%
    400 members- 5%
    500 members- No cut.

I understand money sinks but when it comes to people selling their items they will always (Well mostly always, I know some people that care little for the profits they make.) aim for the best price and giving 15% away for nothing when listing it on the store which A ) Takes this 15% and B ) Selling the item could take a month. Where listing it in zone could mean a full priced sale within an hour really is a deterrent.

I think there are better places that a guild store for such money sinks at any rate, just look at our repair costs :-P

Hello everyone. This is not a thread to voice your opinion for or against Guild Stores. Rather it is a thread "petition" for us to list changes that we would like to see to the guild store in hopes that someone with enough clout reads it and passes on the feedback. Please list anything and everything about the guild store that you would like to see changed. Thank you.

    1. MUCH less of a cut. 25% is so high that it's simply a deterrent. People just do not want to risk listing high-priced goods on the guild store with this much of a cut. It is causing everyone to use the zone chat channel to trade (since we don't have a trade channel). This leads to cluttered zone chat and guild stores bereft of quality merchandise. There are many other ways to create gold sinks than to penalize your players for using the guild store.

    2. A search browser. When you have hundreds (or thousands) of items to browse through, it is very practical to be able to type in exactly what you are looking for and hit "search". This feature is a staple of almost every auction house style format in the MMO Industry.

    3. Information on what "sold". Getting a notification that something "sold" is okay, but when you have 30 items listed, it is a hassle trying to figure out what sold. Sending a notification of what sold is also a staple of MMO auction houses, and it allows us to understand what sells and what doesn't sell, what's hot on the market for your guild etc, w/o having to write everything down on a piece of paper or sifting through your remaining listings to try and figure out what sold.

Those are just a few ideas of mine that I think would go a long way towards making the guild stores considerably more appealing to use. Please help the community by contributing to this thread petition in order to hopefully get some attention to this issue.

    Thanks. Alpha.

Great ideas and should be added to the other post about drop down menus. MAKE IT SO NUMBER 1.

While I hate current trade system and for me the best thing Zen can do is remove it and implement good old global cross-faction auction (make maomer contraband consortium or something if you need lore reasons for cross-faction trade), I understand design choice and general direction, so I offer a few ideas on improving current system.

    - Rework store interface completely. Take a look at addons people made for stores if you do not understand what people need. It's such a mess right now, I need two addons to make it more or less workable. Add search by name. Fix broken categories. Add more filters in gereral. Not just materials, but materials for each profession. And make categories even within those. For example, separate essence, aspect and potency runes. Add filter for traits on gear. If I'm looking for infused gear, I do not need to scroll past hundreds of training crap. Add filter for item level. Allow to search stores in all your guilds at once. Add 'price per item' filter for stacks of items. And so on. In short, make it usable. It's obvious you never even tried to use the store you created yourself.

    - Make it impossible to put junk items into guild stores. People are idiots, I'm in five guilds and every store is clogged with ectoplasm, foul hides and other vendor junk items.

    - Increase guild member numbers. There are only two megaservers, with hundreds of thousands people on them. Even with five capped guilds you have access only to 2495 people, a tiny fraction of actual server population. It is not enough. Make it at least 5000 instead of 500.

    - Fix COD system to prevent griefing. If you are not aware, right now when people refuse to pay COD, the seller gets the item back but still looses COD fee, which can be rather high if you sell expensive item. Make it so COD fee is refunded as well if buyer refused to pay.

What about if all guild stores were merged into 1 main place where all people could look?

1- You're keeping the guild stores, which puts that check in to limit the bots
2- guild stores are still independent
    3- faction specific
4- all items in these guild stores are displayed in this main Commerce houseif player opts to make auction public.
5- add another option where the banker is for 'public auctions', that way no more rendering for buildings, just a simple little addition to what's already there.
6- player has option to make item guild only, or public
7- public auctions have higher ah cuts.

so you still have your guild store for guildies to buy, but you're now adding a bigger marketplace.

    - unguilded players can't put up items to sell
    - allows items to reach more players....2500 over 5 guilds (assuming fully populated) is paltry compared to the 10000+ people viewing over a more public venue
    - allows unguilded players to find items they may need instead of hoping one makes its way to a guild store.
    - guilds the ultimate gatekeepers to avoid spamming / bots...we all know the spammers have been making guild invites...has anyone accepted them? i feel they'll never get the 10 members needed to create auctions...unless they band together, which is unlikely.

The guild I'm in, is a large group of friends formed over the past 10+ mmo's we've played. We literally don't sell anything to each other. We just give it to each other. We'll sell items on AH's, no doubt about that, but we have no interest in a "guild store" to sell to our members. The whole point of being in a guild is to play with friends and help / support each other.

Whether the guild store is fixed or not, doesn't matter to me anymore. It's the fact that THIS is what they released after pushing the game back a full year. This is just one of the many things I'm in complete shock about. Releasing unfinished features. Or poor quality ones.

Could you imagine Ebay not having a search option? lmao

I absolutely agree with this. As it is right now, none of my inventory is moving. I think people are simply giving up on trying to find the stuff they want in guild stores. I know I've stopped buying from them. My bank is overflowing, my bags are stuffed to the brim, and none of my inventory is moving. So I'm left with pulling my inventory and vendor trashing it all, and attempting new listings (but why when no one can find them). At this point it's much more profitable for players to just vendor trash, vendor trash, vendor trash.

    Guild Store Functions Required:
    1. Keyword search: I need to be able to find a specific mat quickly.
    2. Increased filters: Be able to search by crafting type: Alchemy, Provisioning, Blacksmithing, etc.
    3. Description of what sold: Name, Qty, Guild Store it sold from. (Hey, you're the one that makes me list in multiple guilds, I need to know what guilds have active stores.)
    4. The ability to search all of my guilds at once for specific items.
    5. The fees: They can stay if the guild store actually worked, but right now, it's a huge pile. People can't find what they want to buy, so sellers can't sell. And then we find ourselves wondering why we're paying up front to list the items, when no one is really going to bother looking for them.

+1 from me for all of the above. When I first tried using the guild store in pre-release, I just couldn't believe there wasn't something as basic as a search bar. I've yet to be able to find any materials I need. The only thing it's semi-decent at is searching for gear.

It really is quite silly trying to scroll through hundreds of items trying to find something that may or may not even be there. Hopefully this thread gains the appropriate attention. I haven't heard or spoken to anyone that feels the guild store functions to their satisfaction.

A temporary fix for this I found is an add-on from esoui.com I don't remember the exact name off hand, but it adds a search bar, as well as the option to search ALL guild stores at once. When you type something into the search bar and hit "retrieve", it searches the stores and lists them neatly to the left in order of price per unit.

I agree completely with OP. Right now, the guild store is unusable (for me, anyway). Considering:

    - The fact that the store is limited to a couple hundred guildies, instead of the whole community;
    - The fact that it's impossible to search the store to find what you want;
    - The fact that they take 1/4 of the full price, the majority of which is lost even if the item doesn't sell;
    - The fact that there's no "sale history" so you can price your items adequately, namely to avoid losing your upfront fee;

I'll be hanging on to my stuff or selling to vendors, thank you very much.

I don't mind the Auction house Cut of 25% (it steep I know) I would prefer more like 10-15% but the part that is killing me is the 15% posting fee. Is there a reason for this? (I would prefer no posting fee or 5% absolute worst assuming they think its needed which i do no, its a micro market of 500 people that is self regulated with invested personal interest).

We are already posting to a single market with a size limit of 500 people, with a 30 item posting limit. So seriously what is with the 15% posting fee, we are already concerned with it not selling to 499 other players that we also don't need such a brutal punishment if it doesn't.

I assume the 15% is to battle abuse... of some kind, but seriously it is already impossible for the market to get flooded with a absolute cap of 15,000 items posted at one time. Also seeing as the Guild Master has the power to kick you from the guild you can't keep posting unreasonable priced items to use it as stowage or purchase traps or loot flaunting, if its annoying someone it will get resolved by having the community report/guild kick you, unless no one has a problem with it, in which case, there is no problem with allowing it.

I loathe using the guild store.

I agree with the need for a search. There are certain times that I am searching for a specific piece of armor to complete the set of armor that I'm currently wearing. Other times, I am looking for a certain type of crafting upgrade. I shouldn't have to search through irrelevant listings when I want to buy a specific temper stone. Now, I do have an addon that will let me search for things, but I can't imagine how it is for those who do not.

Also, please fix the broken "search" functions for materials. The last time that I used it before I downloaded my Addon it listed every listing. I circumvented that by selecting the rarity of the material.

Another thing that I would love to see is a transaction tab on the guild store window. I have an addon that does this, but I think it helps to keep track of what your selling, how much you are selling it for, etc.

Good to know Zenimax acknowledged this thread, still, I doubt that means they would take action for guild store issues over the endless river stream of complaints towards other issues. Which is why we need a suggestions forum / feedback forum or at least a 'Bump Thread' every 15 mins feature if this thread is doomed to exist in the customer service forum.
