    Top Bugs/Issues (no particular order)
    1. Round AoE skills double cast a lot. Yes, I'm looking at you, Necro's Boneyard or DK's eruption.
    2. Leads curation/rng/whatever. West Weald lead drop this event has been showing that it's absolutely atrocious. Not just the ones from treasure maps, trying to go after certain leads after you've got the first one in codes ranges from painful to even impossible in older zones (for example the glass window dropping from dragons in Northern Elsweyr, the zone is basically dead, dragons are vibing there unthreatened all day). I'd explain it with maths if they were public, but they aren't.
    3. Lack of content. 2023 was going to be a year to fix stuff, therefore releasing only 2 dungeons and no small zone DLC (potentially with an arena or trial?). But it somehow became the norm. I'll wait for release on details of new model, but unless you're catering to solo players (which is kinda odd considered this is an mmo), it's not a direction I like as a veteran player, mostly because it tells me to switch to another game, but I like this one. Lack of incentives could be another one, but if there's no content to play, there is not possible to incentivate players to engage either.
    4. Scribing Banner skill bugs out. Sometime class mastery stops working on arc, having to recast it every boss is a bit frustrating.
    5. After the BGs update, queueing for a battleground in duo feels super odd, even when on 8v8, compared to solo queue. The fact that as soon as you miss one person it's a 5 min wait until you get kicked and need to requeue is just awful.

    Top Pain Points
    1. Guild bank not being accesible from banker assistant. I end up selling or destroying stuff instead of putting it in a guild bank where it may be of use for newer players
    2. Relying on FOMO with golden pursuits is something that will end up burning people out. It's not like they encourage players to actually play the game, they encourage people to do a certain activity in a very repetitive manner. The active one right now could be fully completed in around 1h, but it's all repetitive actions.
    3. Allow us to stack crafted glyphs and treasure maps. Let us stack them in bank at least.
    4. Having some sort of source filter for obtained collectibles and outfit styles? For example, I'd like to see the ones I got from crown store/crown crates so I can use those shiny weapons, maybe weapons with effects?
    5. It is frustrating to see how the official streams are encouraging terrible content creators. I don't mind someone tanking with whatever they want, as long as they know the limit of their setup. But having Bethesda showcase a content creator on twitch whose guides will make any decent tank cry feels frustrating.
I'm not making up the DPS checks, the game itself does. People can play what they want, but the game will not allow them to do so everywhere, and that ends up leading to conflict between players who know that, and people who believe their build enables "godmode" just because the build name says so. It's inevitable because that's how clickbaits work, but at least don't encourage those content creators officially.

Wow, didn't expect to see this kind of post but i'll write one up, unlike a lot of people, i'm going to primarily focus on combat changes in my painpoints as that's where i have the most grating issues that haven't been addressed. (writing a lot but need to update)
    Top Bugs/Issues
Bug 1: Accidentally double casting AoE DoT abilities is super frustrating.
Bug 2: Infinite Heavy Attack Bug.
Bug 3: Nearly infinite duration debuff bug (usually like burning)
    Bug 4:
    Bug 5:
    Top Pain Points
Pain Point 1: Damage Types aren't uniformly standardised in distribution. This is in 2 seperate ways.

Firstly, Sorcerer and Wardens have an over-abundance of magic damage when they focus on shock and frost damage. Additionally, Subterranean Assault deals poison damage instead of bleed while the rest of stamina animal companions skills deal bleed damage, while animal companions doesn't have a single passive bonus to bleeds.

    Secondly,
Engulfing Flames and Encratis's Behemoth significantly raise flame damage done when there's nothing that uniquely buffs shock or frost damage done for the group leading to a situation where flame damage just is always better. you would think that you would be incentivised to stack the damage type your class is uniquely situated towards, but because of the lack of proper distribution, flame damage is the best for everyone.

Pain Point 2: The Ice Destruction Staff still has no place in a damage dealer's kit because of its passives.

The new Piercing Cold ruling could be used in the exact same way it is on Piercing Cold to change the effect the passive Ancient Knowledge gives. fixing this pain point completely changes the frustrating reality that the ice staff is not actually intended to be used by a damage dealer when this breaks traditional fantasy ruling. there is no reason why the ice staff cannot do both things, but the effect differs based on max health. Frost Mage builds are now sort of possible, and its time to just let them exist rather than tying it to warden. i'd love to play a frost nightblade or arcanist competitively. but can't.

Pain Point 3: Light Armor is not competitive with Medium Armor in high end trial groups for damage dealing.

Penetration is a stat that is often made redundant and therefore outside of equipping 1 or 2 pieces is not viable in proper endgame at 5+ pieces. This leads to magicka damage dealing builds always having significantly less sustain than stamina builds. I think light armor should also equally increase damage, damage shield and healing by 1% per point of armor equipped rather than only penetration. as it is also healer's armor and armor penetration doesn't increase healing output either. As a result of this, so many light armor sets that could be strong on the body are ignored.

Pain Point 4: pure Magicka and Stamina archetypes of old are dead. Everyone is forced to play hybrids and every build is the same.

I think at this point, the only way this can be fixed is with a system that gives proper class specific passives that you have to specialise into but cannot use all of. examples i can include would be world of warcraft's talent tree system, and the champion points slottable system (though not as painfully boring as that). Passives like these should incentivise combos with class skills as well as weapon skills. that would create real rotations. but as i said, you should only be able to use a few at a time, not all of them.

Now that subclassing has been introduced, i think it's time to update this one. I would say, Winter's Embrace frost damage builds lack their own payoff skill that rewards winter's embrace's highly increased chilled proc rates and frost damage.

Pain Point 5: Damage Dealer Warden's horrible access to it's own class utility.

Group-wide Maturation is extremely hard for us to access easily due to it requiring us to heal each other person. this means we have to sacrifice damage just to guarentee maximum uptime on everyone when healers and tanks don't even remotely have any issues Maturation should apply to everyone when you heal something, that way it would work the same for every role. Likewise, DPS warden has to give up damage just to gain access to frost cloak. If frost cloak dealt some reasonable damage, there would be so much more reason to take a warden damage dealer over a warden healer every single time.

    Top Bugs/Issues
    • Bug 1: On the Anthelmir boss in Oathsworn Pit his axe throw AOE is often desynced from where it actually happens to be thrown and can hit you while you are outside of the AOEs path.
    • Bug 2: After death in pvp if you revive with Haunting Curse from Sorceror on you it will still go off and damage you.
    • Bug 3: Please fix the weaving issue where if you light attack too soon while weaving in combat and queue a skill after that has a cast time you will get stuck in an uncancelable heavy attack animation before the skill casts.
    • Bug 4: Fix the quests in the base game group dungeons to not be failable due to missing conversations with NPCs or other small accidentally skippable things.
    • Bug 5: Fix the combat bug where you get stuck with the game saying you are in combat even though you are not.

    Top Pain Points
    • Pain Point 1: Scribing skills affixes should be saved in the armory when you save builds.
    • Pain Point 2: Treasure maps should stack in your inventory like Surveys do.
    • Pain Point 3: Make Armory slot upgrades from the crown store an account wide upgrade instead of having to buy them in each individual character.
    • Pain Point 4: Add Survey Maps, Treasure Maps, Potions and Food to the craft bag.
    • Pain Point 5: Make all unlocked companions be instantly available on alternative characters.

    Bugs:
    1) Rush of Agony’s pull ignores terrain collision (whereas a set pull like Swarm Mother respects terrain collision)
    2) When in the Outfit Station Menu and receiving a Group Finder Invite, hitting Escape to hide the Invite and return to the Outfit Station Menu (in an attempt to save the current outfit) will instead soft-lock the Outfit Station Menu UI until the Group Finder Invite Expires. Unable to reproduce after a sanity check
    3) While Invisible you are not marked as detected when revealed by a detection potion OR you are marked as detected while Sneaking when revealed by a detection potion. (These should match up with one another)
    4) Phantom WD/SD stats while in a group finder activity as a CP160+ player.
    5) …. (Can’t think of more than that!)

    Pain Points:

    2) Detection Potions have too large a radius, and detection skills too small.
    3) Companion Hard Taunts override Player Soft Taunts
    4) Soft Taunts can’t be refreshed by another Soft Taunt
    5) Certain structures and locations in Cyrodiil allow Attacking Siege Weapons to be placed out of the range of Defending Siege Weapons

    Some bugs:

    1) Honestly only gonna mention one bug (since you said not to mention suck in combat);
Look at issues involving login and connection problems; disconnects; lag etc., and in the shorter term, focus on the game's ability to recovery from these issues more gracefully (ie: without cryptic error messages or crashes, followed by difficulty logging in with cryptic error messages), including providing more detailed and recent information about the current status of the servers.

    Some Pain Points:

    1) Update older classes with clunky skills, poor synergies between skills and passives, outdated skills and passives that are no longer useful, thematic confusion, etc., to be closer to the standard set by arcanist - every class should be unique in some way, viable, and fun to play;

    2) Increase housing furnishing limits or look at other potential workarounds if this is not possible; sell more medium sized houses and not always giant ones;

    3) Improve furniture crafting UI so that one can view a list of all the plans they know (and unknown plans) in one place, and craft them at one unified crafting table; and give us a storage system for furnishings other than storing them in empty houses;

    4) Look at options surrounding overland difficulty and lack of challenge / engaging questing for longer term players;

    5) Streamline old base game dungeon quests to auto-complete or at least so that they won't get blocked by the actions of other group members, and / or add quest mode for dungeons.

    Runners up:
    - Finish hybridization, including a pass on food and potions, and old skills and racial passives that only boost stam or mag
    - Incorporate TTC-type functionality directly into the game
    - Stackable treasure maps / streamline surveys in older zones that have multiple versions of the same type of survey

The one thing that comes to mind as a QOL improvement would be the ability to search for an item across all guild traders, Yes, we have something like that with TTC, but I'm sure the console folks would appreciate this too.
This of course is one option if overhauling the Guild Trader system is not an option. The current system excludes those of us that do not want to subject ourselves to the rules and regulations enforced by a lot of trading guilds, including being removed from the guild for inactivity and other shenanigans. Please consider switching to a global auction house.

Please remove the granny panties from the Timbercrow Wanderer outfit. This is a mature game for mature audiences. I'm not saying to replace it with a thong, but something more aesthetically pleasing would go a long way. It's one of the few decently skimpy outfits in the game.

Storage should scale to the number of items in the game. Bank and character space is the same as it was at release: with all the additional sets, style materials etc, storage should be doubled at least.

    Top bugs:
    1. (Also a pain point) Eidetic Memory lorebooks not being available or easily missable to the point where you fail to collect it and are unable to do so afterwards. Some lorebooks (*IMPORTANT* Mage tomes for the Entropy purple are one-time-only collectables right now and DO NOT have any entries in the EM to collect them, so once you loot them for the achieve you are SoL if they ever add it in adter U45 launches)

I would like to recommend an account-wide Eidetic memory where if a book is failed to be collected on one toon, or gets added in later down the line and unable to be collected on the one character collecting them all, you do not become permanently locked out of obtaining it.

    2. There is an enemy in Cradle of Shadows in the hallway right before the room where you learn the atronach light mechanic that is permanently lodged in the ceiling and will not come down. He will keep you in combat even when you manage to kill veledreth.

    3. (Forums bug, not in game) Report feature completely unusable in any non-desktop format/platform. Can only open the window, but can't selet all options, nor type (or see whats being typed) or even see let alone be able to access the submit button for it. Window is misaligned and can't be readjusted in either portrait or landscape layout. It's been around since the forum's start in 2013-14.

    Other pain points:

    2. Siege weapon aoe color/opaqueness doesn't change with your gameplay setings and is extremely difficult to see where the oil/ballstas/catapults are actually firing.

    3. Bug/feedback reporting (in-game PC) feature. Only option available is a checkbox of 'attach screenshot'. No one knows what is being attached or from where, and I would love to be able to SELECT SCREENSHOT/VIDEO to send instead of who knows what.

EDIT: Pain point 4: Ignore and friends lists are too small. I am at cap and cannot add any more people on ignore, and keep running into situations where I have to decide who to kick off to add another person, and sometimes find out later the person I removed still needed to be on there.

Bug 1: Server issues. Lag and being kicked to the login screen, usually just with "An error has occured. Please try again later."
It's not an issue with my internet because it's just fine for everything else at the same time, and it just seems to intermittently happen to myself and others. Sometimes doesn't let us log back in for several minutes. When just doing stuff on my own it's just annoying, but it's a problem when it happens during dungeons/trials - either everyone else has to wait on you, or you get kicked, or you miss quest objectives (e.g. I was in Lucent Citadel the other day and got disconnected right after we picked up the knot and left the boss room, it finally let me reconnect around the final fight, but my quest was still stuck at "Find the Arcane Knot".)

Bug 2: Dungeon queue. Sometimes it seems to be unusually long (like, upwards of a half hour for daily pledges) and leaving queue and re-queueing seems to work. Also occasionally splits groups.
Other players have mentioned that if you're in a group already then it usually works better when the DPS is the group lead and queues, or that if someone declines the ready check then it may not put you back in the queue properly. Whether those specifically are true or not, there seems to be *something* with it where it just sometimes seems to get stuck and re-queueing makes it work much faster.

Also, sometimes it splits the group when porting you into the dungeons, so you have to Travel to Player (sometimes multiple attempts) to get everyone in the same instance.

Bug 3: Stuck in combat specifically after final boss in Scalecaller Peak
I know you mentioned this as a general thing, but one spot it happens 100% of the time is after the final boss in Scalecaller Peak, leaving players unable to go back and search for chests and stuff since it pulls you back to the "encounter in progress" in the final room, so it may be different from the usual bug causing this?

Bug 4: Repeating audio in Banished 2
Just had the "Poor Cirion" line repeat six times, and it's not the first case of that happening during my runs.

Pain Point 1: Having to run some dungeons *twice* to get pledge credit if you get pulled into one partway through, since you don't get credit for the earlier bosses.
I get that some pledges require specific bosses as objectives and can't just be "complete (dungeon)" because the base game ones in particular aren't linear - for instance if it were just "complete city of ash 1" people would skip the ones on the sides - but surely there should be a way for players to get full credit if brought in partway through, like how trials let you loot an item from the bosses? It's frustrating to wait forever for the queue only to find that you'll have to sit and wait forever queuing a *second* time to get your pledge credit at no fault of your own, and if I'm in a group where someone dropped out I feel bad about re-queuing to get a replacement 'cause then the replacement will have to run it a second time.

Pain Point 2: "Crafting bag" for furnishings would be super helpful.
I decorate my houses, but even with me not being as into it as a lot of folks out there, even my storage space is filled to the brim with furnishings, and we're constantly getting more with coming across stuff while looting, Tribute rewards, events like all the New Life and Witches Festival furnishings, etc. Being able to buy the antiquities ones *helped*, but especially as the game continues to add furnishings, it'd be nice to have a furnishing storage that works like the crafting bag.

Pain Point 3: No search bar for furnishings in crafting UI
If I want to check if I know a recipe, and don't have a copy of that recipe on hand, there's no search bar in the crafting tables for furnishings. I have to know specifically what category it falls under, uncollapse that, and then scroll through the list alphabetically which gets super long. A search bar would make this much easier and it'd be especially convenient if we could search "Altmer", for instance, to get both "High Elf" and "Alinor" styles.

Pain Point 4: Outfit Station - Weapons can't be previewed with Costumes
Often I base my look the costume, and choose the weapons afterward. However, I can't preview the weapons at the same time as my costume. Either I'm on the Costume tab, in which case I can adjust the costume, but the weapons only show what's been applied/paid for, or I'm in the Equipment tab where I can edit the weapons but can't see the costume. :(

    • Bug 1: Lightning heavy attacks not connecting with enemies when someone's pet is in front of you. Or just not connecting, in general. Super frustrating when trying to help new players learn hard content and they can't even heavy attack right.
    • Bug 2: Cyrodiil burning status for 49000 days etc. On death, junk like that should get cleared, this seems like it should be easy.

Top Pain Points - I'm reclaiming my unused bug slots:
    • Pain Point 1: Fully random RNG. Give us a pity system like the gacha games my daughter plays, every time I don't get the "good drop" my chances go up for the next attempt. Even if it takes 30 dungeon runs for a mask drop, tell me it's guaranteed after 30 runs so I know I can put in the time and get the results vs just endless frustration.
    • Pain Point 2: Shortened time limits and thus increased cost for selling things in the guild store. I no longer sell anything nice, because if I guess the price wrong it just costs me money, and I have to relist the item in two weeks. If I'm selling something odd, let me leave it up there for two months at a high price and hope someone finds it. If you're saying that there's a cost to list an item even if it doesn't sell, then that cost should go to the guild that hired the trader, not to the zos trash bucket. I'd be more willing to lose the money if it was helping the guild keep the trader.
    • Pain Point 3: Multiple surveys, having to run back & forth from the location. If I've got 7x surveys, whee, it's an extremely rich vein, just give me 7x drops. Running back & forth an undefined distance doesn't make any in-game sense and wow is it dull. Same with maps - if I've collected 7 somehow, make them stack, give me 7x chances at the good loot. Maybe 7x the gold if you want to be generous.
    • Pain Point 4: Furnishings. Give ezabi a friend that will store my excess furnishings and allow me to access them from any house, maybe even let me search for things that are placed in other houses and choose to retrieve them. Let me deconstruct furnishings and return some of the construction materials.
    • Pain Point 5: Not updating old proc sets to match the damage of the "best" set. Have someone look at pillar of nirn, and then adjust cinders of anthelmir to do the same direct damage, same radius, same damage over time, but hey look now it's fire-based! Now do icy conjurer, same idea. Yayy, now your frost warden can run a frost-themed set and still be welcome in decent prog groups. And so on. They don't have to be exact copies, but having them be identical from a damage output perspective would let people role-play more while still being contributing members of advanced-casual groups.
    • Pain Point 6, bonus on console: Give us a way to bulk delete junk like new life writs. 3 seconds between every click after certain events is super annoying. Or at least make things like writs and runeboxes stack.
    • Pain Point 7: Inability to copy options settings from one character to another. Let me make account-wide changes to guild chat colors etc.
    • Pain Point 8: Inability to disable specific guild chats / zone chat independently. The game has been out for 10 years, muting one channel and leaving another readable is basic functionality for any app that has group conversations.

This barely qualifies as a pain point, so it's going in its own section: There are so many recipes and the majority do nothing useful - add more fun elements that have no competitive advantage (& maybe no server load?). Adjust some existing recipes to be add-on food like the colovian war torte, but with purely fun effects. Eat an apocrypha pop tart, turn the world green for 30 minutes like the vision of mora statue. Give me a drink like the brewmaster potions, shrink my character for 2 hours so we can run tiny trials as a guild. Make it so eating certain candy with Isobel out gives her a sugar high & makes her talk faster. Give Bastian cheese rage, 10% increased damage and cranky comments for 30 minutes after he catches you eating cheese. Woodcarver's coffee, double your light attack speed with axes for 30 minutes. Disable all of it for anything leaderboard-related, or disable leaderboards so "cheese rage vet trials" can be a thing. Food is a delight in the real world, but in Tamriel everyone survives on sugar skulls. Give us a reason for those huge recipe collections, without any impact on pvp or scorepushing.

    1. Getting stuck in heavy attack animations when trying to LA weave channeled skills
    2. Bar-swapping off of ground targeted skills can cancel the skill occasionally (caltrops, boneyard, eruption etc...)
    3. Harpooner's Wading Kilt no longer working in most of the content it used to since u41 (maybe not a bug but wasn't documented if this was intentional from what I know)
    4. "Might of the guild" passive overriding Solar Barrage 5% dmg done with class abilities on templar
    5. Savagery/Prophecy Banner sometimes overriding group members minor berserk gained from camo hunter making it impossible to gain minor berserk until leaving the banner (I haven't pinpointed specifics on this but can edit if I find more)

    Top Pain Points

    1. Alchemy Hybridization/ Finishing hybridization in general (primarily savagery and prophecy)
    2. In line with hybridization, changing class passive to actually be unique (templar and dragonknight minor brutality and sorcery)
    3. Not listing radius/size on item sets effects (It was way to hard to find out Roar of Alkosh is a 15x9 meter rectangle)
    4. Tooltips for crit chance reading as 657 instead of 3% (It has confused a lot of newer players i've talked to)
    5. Inventory management, stackable treasure maps, or just less consumable collectables, having public dungeon fragments, event ones, quests etc.. just go into collections and not be an item you have to consume would be awesome.

    Bugs
1)Grave Lord's Sacrifice Skeleton being vulnerable to CC. Skeletal Mage/Spirit Mender are sort of ''invulnerable'' so you can't attack them/CC them, so why is the GLS Skeleton(and Blighted Blastbones too) not treated this way? Why does a self-buff skill have a delay, a vulnerability to CC and the LoS problems associated with ''pet skills''.
2)Stuck in Combat. There are some instances where you are still in Combat... after dying and resurrecting... in PvE.
3)Some ''pet skills'' not contributing to Score in BGs. Afaik Sorcerer Twilight Matriarch heal counts for Score purposes, but something like Necromancer Intensive Mender heal doesn't? What is the logic here?
4)Same as 3, but with ''Shield Other'' skills. Most noticeable if you are playing an Arcanist.
5)Certain enemies where Companion Taunt is unreliable or simply doesn't work at all. Marauder Gothmau, Baron Zaudrus, etc.

    Pain Points
1)Overland difficulty. Can't really appreciate the story/quests when trash mobs die in 1 or 2 GCDs and the ''Bosses'' usually die before your DoTs run out.
2)Reward/Effort ratio of certain activities. Why is picking up a bunch of flowers more rewarding than defeating a WB/Incursion?
3)Unfinished Hybridization. When is this going to be finished? Even some Racial Passives are still working under the old ruleset.
4)Treasure Maps Lead RNG/Lead RNG in general. You already fixed this problem with Gear years ago, why is this still an issue with Leads?
5)Not having the option to customize Companion Headgear. Cities full of clones aren't really immersive.

    • Bug 1 - Bugged trials/dungeons. No one should prog for months and then get cheated out of an achievement or reward due to a bug they have no control over. (See my separate topic in the bug forum. Also applies to things like the long running Lady Thorn bug where people can't see the safe areas.)
    • Bug 2 - Everyone's fave stuck in combat bug. (I did read what you said, but can't not mention it.)
    • Bug 3 - Skills not going off despite good ping.
    • Bug 4 - Various BG related bugs and issues. (Like being ported into the map for a match that won't begin. Even the annoying teleport timer you get that teleports you back to the start point if you wander round your start area before the match beings. This shouldn't happen.)
    • Bug 5 - Will edit if I think of something.

    Top Pain Points
    • Pain Point 1 - Not directly gameplay related but: Communication. We all know it's bad. But my trial group is now at 5 days and counting since we had a bugged trifecta and NO reply to either the ticket or my forum post about it. Can someone PLEASE at least respond to let us know it's being looked at?
    • Pain Point 2 - Quests are unengaging, over-the-top easy in many cases, and often insult our intelligence. Adding harder wandering bosses or weird side things like Bastian Nymic doesn't fix this. We want to feel engaged in the MAIN quest, but this is hard when the big bad is as weak as your average overland troll. And remember when we were forced to tell a certain Elf we were members of a highly secret organisation known for remaining silent and not blabbing about stuff? That was a while back but it still hurts a bit.
    • Pain Point 3 - PTEing from a trial after you ported in from your house doesn't port you back to your house. This means if you want to refill ult before going back in you must port an extra time and face an extra load screen.
    • Pain Point 4 - Inability to just queue for DM in BGs. (This is made worse when I find myself in chaos ball matches where carrying the ball swaps my abilities; for newer players especially, this is just dumping you in a state where you don't necessarily know what any of your skills do, and there is no time to stop and check. This is just bad user experience.)
    • Pain Point 5 - Poor matchmaking. This is mostly a BG issue, but it's something that could be said to apply to the random dungeon queue as well.

Pain Point 1 - Resto Staffs. Please rework the resto staff. It places us in combat (and keeps us stuck), encourages skill spam, and lacks direction (randomly hit's players)...the skills could be redone to go with the the current flow of the game.
Pain Point 2 - Scroll quest selection in Cyrodiil. Let us select the quest.
Pain Point 3 - Outfit station. Images are much too small. Station also needs a zoom function (you can't see the top of a greatsword when changing and previewing weapons).
Pain Point 4 - Carrying Armor. Why can't we just use the stickerbook and select 10, 20, 30, 40 active armors based on level, Crown upgrades etc etc...call it the Armor Crate or something.
Pain Point 5 - All game armors and weapons. We cannot produce a predictable black and white in all color slots. Armors have materials or designs that produce undesirable results when adding predicted color swatches. ie Yokudan armor turns pink instead of Marble white.

Bug 3: Abilities that can knock up players intro structures in PvP (Mainly meteor hitting players into tower roofs).
Bug 4. The game still thinks you're online/logged in after crashing in Cyrodiil which leads to launcher issues which makes logging back in take a long time.
Bug 5. Break free bug in Cyrodiil which only resolves by going into Cheesemongers and you can get stuck in there trying multiple times to get back into Cyrodiil to continue gameplay.

    PAIN POINTS

    1. Lack of meaningful/exciting chase prizes. I would like to see more rare drops added to the game. I appreciate that itemization in ESO is horizontal, but looting a Z'en/Pillar/Coral dagger doesn't hit the same level of dopamine as other games offer with ultra-rare, build-defining or exclusive/lucrative drops. The closest ESO has to this today is gold-quality full-motif books, monster mask style pages in dungeons, and the Clockwork Reliquary runebox from Asylum Sanctorium. Please, incentivize dedicated veteran/endgame players to run more arena, dungeon, and trial content by adding more such rare chase prizes: titles to old trial trifectas, exclusive mounts/skins/polymorphs, etc. Otherwise, once you have the item sets collected and the achievements done, there is no reason to go back, which is a real shame and a missed opportunity.
    2. Lackluster login rewards. Other games reward me generously for showing up. I would like to see login rewards increase from slap-in-the-face quality (e.g. poisons, 5000 gold, crown soul gem - give me a break) to "oh, I should really log in today" quality. More tri-pots, more gold mats, more exclusive cosmetics, more currency - Isn't that the whole point, after all? To make me excited to log in and play?
    3. Ballgroups. Cyrodiil has a performance problem, sure, but it also has a really bad ballgroup problem. There is a lot to talk about here, but the common-sense fix is simply to restrict cross-healing to 2 instances of a skill (e.g. echoing vigor, radiating regen, scribing heals/shields) in PvP groups.
    4. Being in a guild is fairly meaningless. We have Discord servers for our sync and async communication. Right now, guilds are glorified storage dumps and a mechanism to engage with the game's economy, but they could be so much more. I wish that guild membership *meant* something, and that we could band together to, for example, invest in a guild "castle", which would in turn provide guild members with stats or boons. Give guildmates something to band together and work towards, and reward them for putting in that investment/effort!
    5. Boosting in Cyrodiil. People abusing the way that defense ticks work in Cyrodiil to boost their way to ludicrous amounts of AP (or to cheat their way to top of Emp leaderboard) has been going on for a long time in Blackreach. There are a small number of bad actors and repeat offenders who do it campaign after campaign. I would love to see some measures taken to end/punish this behavior so the fight for Emperor can be fair for those of us who don't cheat to win.

    1. Performance (FPS & Ping Issues) – The biggest issue in PvP. Stuttering, FPS drops, and high ping make combat feel sluggish and inconsistent. No amount of balance changes will matter if players can’t reliably execute their skills due to performance issues.

    2. Stuck in Combat Bug – One of the longest-standing PvP bugs. Players stay in combat indefinitely, preventing bar swaps, mount use. This forces unnecessary deaths and makes it impossible to reposition properly.

    3. Infinite Break Free Bug – Being hit by Streak (and sometimes other CCs) causes a state where any attempt to bash results in an automatic Break Free, draining stamina and preventing blocking. This is game-breaking in any PvP scenario.

Fix this and the game will be playable again.

    3. Addon performance issues; I consider this a flaw in the design of the game; many addons become required for different reasons; addon performance needs to be clearly quantified so players can make better choices
    4. PVE instance performance during periods of high player activity
    5. 5 minute login lockout after being disconnected and trying to reconnect before the game realizes I was disconnected: imagine how awful it is in a trial when this happens and everyone is forced to take a 5 minute break because one player was disconnected.

    1. How ridiculously easy 99.9% combat is. I can't stand encountering mobs that melt in 1 or 2 gcds with no thinking required. It's just tedious.
    2. BG game modes are poorly implemented; instead of trying to re-invent the wheel, ZOS should look at how these modes are implemented in successful games; maps look great, but aren't well-designed for PVP combat; I hate not being able to choose the mode I want to play. I never want to play some modes
    3. PVP combat balance and power creep
    4. The ongoing process of raising the floor and lowering the ceiling; constant combat upheavals
    5. Too many events because they are disruptive to normal gameplay patterns and ultimately burn players out, resulting in reduced engagement when they end

Bug 1: Sometimes companions not doing anything when I am in combat. They just stand there watching me die without applying their skills.
Bug 2: Starting the blade of woe on an NPC, only to have it turn around and walk away. Same problem with pick-pocketing.
Bug 3: Blocking not blocking due to lag. Surely blocking should be calculated client-side.
Bug 4: Combat cooldown is way inconsistent. Sometimes it takes 5 seconds before I can interact with anything.
Bug 5: The bottom right-hand square on the excavation panel does not cover the entire square making it difficult to click on the square.

Pain Point 1: Ring of Mara taking up a jewellery slot. Should have been per account and not per character.

Pain Point 2: Public dungeon group bosses are too hard to solo (for me). They should scale in difficulty when you are the only one in the area. (Spire of the Crimson Coin in High Isle in particular.)

Pain Point 3: Cannot break free from a skyshard. When my character is hit by damage after interacting with a skyshard, I have to wait until the entire animation ends before I can attack whatever was causing the damage. Then I have to interact with the skyshard again to gain the 1/3rd skillpoint.

Pain Point 1 current combat developers do not approach or participate in combat as a player does thus leading to concern for unwanted unwarranted changes with massive lack of understanding (vengeance campaign tests even being done, whats the point of it if you cannot play the game as you just remove it and replace it)
Pain Point 2 SAVAGERY, BRUTALITY, SORCERY, PROPHECY buffs do not stack and you outright cannot use spell power potions on dk, weapon power potions on templar, weapon crit potions on sorc etc
Pain Point 3 raids in pvp (they stack echoing vigor and other effects) they also cause lag not anything else just the ball groups its always the ball groups theyre not fun they should not exist they just take up cyrodiil player space for a net negative experience
Pain Point 4 the way current abilities such as blazing spear, caltrops, mist form function, you simply cannot spam them to work they mess up queue up twice and the instant cast thing does not function as youd want making mist form fundamentally unfun to use same for arc portal

    1. Being unable to take mechanics synergies in Cloudrest. Like being unable to drop hoarfrost. Or use the elevator in the portals.
    2. Companion Taunt doesn't always work, esp in IA, and on Baron Zaudrus and errr... another ruinarch? Can't remember.
    3. The wisps in The Echoing Den in the IA now randomly wander off, even when doing the mechanics perfectly. I used to have a 99% completion rate on that side portal, now I don't even bother doing it because the wisps leave even when I'm standing, unmoving, right next to them. Success being completely random vs. skill and/or mechanics is demoralizing. I got the achievement before the bug, so I don't bother with this portal any more.

    Top Pain Points
    1. Search for Unknowns in Guild Traders
I can see the devs thinking "Oh, a plug-in will fix this." Please beware of that mind-set. Plug-ins should not be replacements for basic game functionality.
    2. Unstackable treasure maps, glyphs, rune-boxes, etc.
    3. Antiquity lead drop rates that (seem to) approach zero/stacked RNG. And yet there are some (void-crystal) that near 100%. In addition, too many antiquity leads come from treasure maps, or at least DLC treasure maps. Why not bump up the value of base game treasure maps and have new leads come from them?
    4. The disparity in Random Normal dungeon goals. The fact that there's a tug of war between those who want to speed run to get their transmutes, and those who don't (for whatever reason.) I think changing the transmute drops here would fix it. Make the higher number for random vet, or something. There have been many many suggestions over the years on how to fix this, and I don't know which is best. But this one hurts a lot.
    5. Toggles for flashy effects! This is a HEALTH/ACCESSIBILITY issue. Please, please, please add this!

    Honorable Mentions:
    • More/Better Search functions. There are so many places we should be able to search but can't. Housing UI is the first that comes to mind. But better search functions on the guild traders as well. Which may mean tweaking classifications. for instance, searching for uncut fish. Is there a way other than the specific fish name? Let us search our achievements!
    • Aiming the Arc beam. How to explain this? Aiming in ESO took a while to get used to, after the precision in Skyrim the Game. But now, with the skill hitting the target that is hard targeted (for instance) I've gotten used to a looser system. And so I can pull my camera out, and look at the fight from a much more Top Down POV. This greatly improved situational awareness. But this doesn't work with the Arc beam. You end up shooting your feet, and not anything further than 2 meters ahead of you. I notice it especially on Cloudrest portals, where I want a Top Down view to watch for the elevator mechanic, but then can't beam through 2 crystals.
    • On gamepads, that the Open Menu button is the same one used to resurrect. The number of times we get stuck in a menu when trying to resurrect someone! I bought a 3rd party high-end controller to combat this. I shouldn't have to do that!
    • Antiquity leads from extremely hard bosses are nearly impossible to obtain once the DLC is no longer new. For instance: Dagon's Scalding Gibbet. Drops from the Deadlands Wandering World Boss. No one ever fights that boss anymore. And only the top few percent of players can solo it. I certainly can't. And asking a guild for help is unreasonable since there's no guarantee the lead will drop in a reasonable amount of time. One suggestion: add killing hard bosses that drop leads as endeavors. I've gotten multiple leads from the Atoll of Immolation since that became an endeavor.

      [ETA]: And a bonus idea:
Give us an easy way to look up buff/debuff icons. I'll often see an icon on my bar I don't recognize, but it only lasts for 5 seconds, so by the time I go into Character to see what it is, it's fallen off. Maybe a grid of them under Tutorials?
Or I want to show a new player what the off-balance icon looks like so they can use Exploiter, but other than finding one on google and linking it in discord, I can't do that.

    3) Skills don't always fire off, especially defensive things like break free
    4) Companion Taunt doesn't always work
    5) PlayStation 5 map zoom is broken. You cannot zoom in properly like PlayStation 4.

    Pain Points

    1) You cannot filter for unknown in guild traders
    2) Story Mode Dungeons and updated group dungeon quests so that players can't force someone to miss their skillpoint
    3) Grandmaster Furnishing Station that is a collectible furnishing and all furnishing stations having a search function . There is like a thousand plans or whatever, having to go through each one with poor categorization is a nightmare
    4) Searchable collectibles
    5) Adding the old stealable clothing to the outfit system. We've been waiting years and years for this.
    5) Updates to the companion system including making them move out of AOE damage and romance.

Wait, the skills firing off thing is a bug? I thought my computer was just crap.

In any case, my biggest pain point would be antiquity drop rates. RuneScape has a thing like this. Let's say the Altar of Celestial Convergence has a drop rate of 1 in 100.

What should be done is that for each action you take that would be applicable towards getting a lead, in this case, killing a Craglorn trial boss, the numerator of the drop rate increases. So I complete AA, and then the drop rate becomes 2 in 100. And so on, until you get the lead, at which point the drop rate resets back to the base level.

My other pain point is that quest-exclusive books, as part of game-design strategy, should have a post-quest location. Once the new patch drops, I'll be 3 books away from Eidetic Memory completion. Those last 3 books are completely bugged and cannot be found in-game.

Finally, Marauder Gothmau sucks to play against, as well as the Brewmasters. Both of these are ridiculously overtuned.

Pain Point 1: CP 1-159 is a redundant level range that you go through once and never again. You also go through it pretty fast, so that makes the crafting materials in its level range very briefly used, and once you pass it, they become redundant. I am of the opinion that when a new player first reaches Lvl 50, they should start off at CP level 160 so they can start earning gear that will remain relevant right away.
Pain Point 2: Fishing feels pretty neglected. It was once mentioned that there was an attempt to revamp many years ago, and there was also a Daedric Lord of Fishing associated with Hircine that never got explored. Additionally, there was a bunch of anniversary commemorative activity achievements added for a decade of various activities, but there was none for fishing showing you have fished in every base game, chapter, and DLC zone. I'd like something like a Grand Master Angler title.
Pain Point 3: Base game revamp zones starting with Update 45 were very needed and appreciated, however, i know that it is outside the current scope ZOS had in mind but zones could use a few more additions. Additions include new Khajiit Furstocks in Khenarthi's Roost, new Motifs like the Seamont Raider outfit for the Seamont Clan in Betnikh, and most noticeable are the rock textures in old zones being outdated.
Pain Point 4: I'd like it if you could preview dyes at a crafting station to see if its worth grinding for it.
Pain Point 5: Play in any order feels strange from a lore perspective. At the very least, I'd like it if for future stories, NPCs behaved like a decade passed. Or at minimum, that they didn't act like we were still in 2E 582.

I too would love Grand Master Angler.

    2) Companion Taunt doesn't always work (for example, Gothmau in IA, Baron Zaudrus in the Cauldron and IA)
    3) Bugged lore books: books that go to inventory during the quest and disappear after it's completed (if you did not read it during the quest, no way to get it) or the area with the book is no longer accessible after the quest.
    4) The Steed Mundus stone lost after the Haefal the Butcher side portal (have to exit the IA to restore it).

    Top Bugs/Issues:

    1. STUCK IN COMBAT! - widely affects Cyrodiil (mainly because people die hard and said bug occurs when your target failed to die even when you are on the other side of the map) - but it occurs outside of Cyrodiil too. The pattern is similar: the target failed to die and even after distancing enough from it you may end up just as stuck. But perhaps due to npcs limited time of "interest" towards their assailer, it is easier to control. The bug exists nonetheless though! People have asked too long for this to be a question of proposal on this one. It is an imperative demand! Thank you!
    2. A rare bug in which group chat can be read still by one outside of the group even if the person has switched from the original character they were in a group with. It goes away with full relog I guess but it exists.
    3. Mage's Fury and its morphs not working in Cyrodiil, despite it being listed as an instant skill. Non-responsive, and almost useless in fast-timed situations. One has to click it multiple times to trigger ONCE (usually too late). Please fix. Note that other instant skills do work as intended.
    4. Invisible siege-markers. It appears that when too many sieges are at hand some of the marked aoe fails to register and one feels like dying of invisible siege, simply because there's nothing showing that you are standing in full siege damage.
    5. Ifinite (445896 days of) : fire-damage, poison-damage, any long-lasting-damage registered in active effects. That may well be a mere listing bug, but it's still annoying to see it haunting one around. I have only noticed it in Cyrodiil.

    Top Pain Points:

    1. Allow Alliance Change for Guilds! (make it crowns if need be! But allow it!)
    2. Enable automatic-entrance in Cyrodiil and Imperial City after queueing. I understand why pve groups need a confirmation before hand, for they are small groups needing to work together. But why Cyrodiil? Suppose you decide to take that 70+ queue one day and go have a nice coffee on your balcony while at it ( for it's that long!) - and misscalculating the time you return, to be nowhere near, in fact due to that ONE BUTTON are forced to queue again, probably 100+ by now. Why? And yes there is an add on that does it - but it just adds more strain to an already lagging environment. Please consider.
    3. Create more houses for gold! Staple sized homes seem to have completely vanished after base-game. Why is that?
    4. Remove some of the Fragments listed in Collections. Namely those acquirable only once per account ( like ToT cards), or ultimate collectables from festivals (like the Anchorborn Welwa) which can only be collected once anyway. I understand the base-collectables, needing to be constantly refreshed, but these other ones? Why are they still listed if the account already owns the unique collectable?
    5. Filter Option for craftable furniture! The crafting furnishings panel has become an absolute mess over the years, with recipes learned but impossible to find at this time. The scrolling is just too time consuming and collections names alphabetized are not always helpful. Consider the recipes sold by Rollis Hlaalu - which are barely named by the collection of a zone, even if reflective of that. But there are other similar cases. A filter is a must by now. Please consider.

And one last Pain (not particularly mine) but since I have been asked to add it: Please (if possible) make the statue near Black Boot keep in Cyrodiil breakable! 2ccjtd2uaqud.jpg

    Here you go Kevin,

    Top Bugs/Issues
    1. The Many Dungeon Glitches. There are a number I am sure you are already aware of like Mazzatun Calendar glitching and Castle Thorn circle disappearing, Quest Givers not appearing at the end, Bosses Glitching out. This is my number one request of Zos and has been for years. Some of these glitches are coming up on 8-9 years old. A full pass through all known Dungeon bugs with a focus on fixing the most egregious ones would go a long way towards building trust with players that glitched content will be fixed and not ignored.
    2. "Still In Combat" bug. Not much to say about this one that hasn't been said a million times. It is frustrating and needs to be fixed.
    3. Previewing of cosmetics and furnishings do not work when in Gamepad UI. This happens a lot, though not always 100% of the time.
    4. There are areas in the game that cause massive frame drops/stutter. Sometimes these are bosses, sometimes it's just areas in the world, but something kicks up the CPU and causes the frametimes to plummet. Also, as an ancillary, if you keep the Launcher running while you are playing, it will introduce stutter every 5 seconds that is extremely noticeable and disrupting. I have to close the launcher every single time manually to prevent this. There should be an option to auto-close the launcher after the game has started, or better yet, fix the stuttering cause.
    5. SERVERS - The performance of the servers has bordered on useless far too many times this past year. Lag, slowdown, Actions not firing, rubber-banding enemies, and finally just getting kicked out of the server altogether. If one thing on this list would cause me to hang it up and stop playing this game forever, this is the one.

    Top Pain Points
    1. RNG of Antiquity Leads - I will say that the majority of leads are fairly straightforward to obtain and work well, however, there are always a couple in every release that are so hair-pullingly awful to deal with, it ruins the entire experience. Either placing a lead in an activity so out of scope (Such as putting a cosmetic or furnishing lead behind difficult end-game content) or making the drop rate so insanely minuscule that frustration, not fun, is the emotion associated with trying to obtain it. I am not asking for all leads to be brain dead simple to acquire, but I am asking that you take a serious look at the drop rates for some of them, because they cannot remain how they are.
    2. Allow more items to be tradable - There has been a notable increase in the number of Bind on Pickup items in the game, especially ones related to events and I think that should be reduced. Players should be able to trade desirable items amongst themselves and not be stuck with them if they do not want them.
    3. Hide Combat Pets In Overland and Hide Non-Combat Pets in Delves/Dungeons/Trials They just get in the way, clutter the interface and serve no purpose. Non-Combat Pets are for strolling around not for getting in the way of skill aiming during combat.
    4. RANDOM NORMAL DUNGEONS SHOULD HAVE A DO NOT ENFORCE ROLE OPTION Let's be serious, most Normal dungeons can be done by four DPS characters while sleepwalking. Forcing roles just slows down the queue to a crawl. Add a checkbox to the Dungeon Finder that allows people to choose "Do Not Enforce Roles" so that anybody that has that checked can be matched with each other without care for the role they are in. Keep role enforcement for Veteran Dungeons and have the checkbox unchecked by default so players that wish to run with the standard roles can do so. But for players that do not care if there is a Tank or Healer in the group can just get queued together and finish their dungeon without having to be delayed or having players feel the need to choose a "fake role" just to jump the queue. This change would improve the quality of life for so many players, allowing us to get our dailies done sooner and allowing more players to queue faster and spend more time playing and less time waiting around.

Lastly, I will add one thanks and one request.

THANKS. I was a very vocal voice in expressing my displeasure about the drop rate of Luminous Ink when Gold Road was released. I felt it was much too restrictive and made Scribing much too grindy and discouraged experimentation with the skills. Well, I have been very pleased to see that this has been addressed and the drop rate of Ink now is exactly in line with where I would have expected it to be at Chapter release. So thank you for fixing that, it allows Scribing to be more accessible to more players and encourages players to play around with mixing and matching scripts without having to be overly protective of the Ink they have.

REQUEST. This has been brought up before here mostly by others, but I wanted to lend my voice in support of creating a difficulty level for Dungeons that allow solo adventurers to experience the story and quest. While I enjoy running Veteran Dungeons, I know there are a lot of players that would love to just be able to experience the quest and story line of the dungeon without having to LFG and hope everything goes well. Set the loot rewards to Delve Equivalents and let these players enjoy the content without feeling like they are being left out by more veteran players.

    Thank you.

Content Pass is not the answer. It is a question, the answer is No.
