Hey all, quick update here on this promotion.
    • Those using the standalone ESO Client - We know this is frustrating, so thank you for hanging in there while we continue conversations with NVIDIA. We have been working with NVIDIA to resolve issues here and they believe they may have a fix. We are waiting for an update here. Please submit a CS ticket for your code if you have an NVIDIA graphics card and attempted the promo.
    • Steam and Epic players - New codes will be uploaded tomorrow afternoon (Jan.9). Please check your NVIDIA App then. If you still do not see a code after that point, please let us know and place a ticket. We will work with you to resolve this.

Thank you for the info for those players who have Nvidia cards.

For those who don't, is streaming via NOW still a viable way to earn this promotion, as advertised in the ESO announcement? Nvidia has been a bit misleading listing this under the NOW rewards page and addressing the notices to NOW subscribers, but then also saying in the fine print that the promo requires an Nvidia card on a PC, whereas NOW is accessible on a greater range of hardware. It seems that there is some conflicting messaging here.

We will need to check in on this to confirm. Let me follow up with the team and see if they can provide any clarity here.

Thank you for the acknowledgment and for checking on this! Much appreciated.

No worries! Just got conformation that streaming NOW works as well.

EDIT: Nvidia CS sent me a code

    @ZOS_Kevin

I tried ESO Support with ticket 250106-003699 and they told me to contact nvidia.

When I contacted nvidia they told me this which seems wholly inaccurate.
I am Sangeeta and your case was referred to me.

I understand you are looking to receive the LAN50 rewards.

Please be informed that this rewards is not provided to all the players. This rewards are provided to random selected users on first come first serve basis. If you are one of the selected player then the reward would automatically show in your account.

I am sorry to inform you that as it doesnot show that means you are not a selected user.

Can you please help me get my mount. Thanks!

I got a reply from Bethesda customer support regarding my ticket, telling me to get in touch with NVIDIA. Based on what @ZOS_Kevin said, could Bethesda also grant the mount if enough evidence was given regarding eligibility? Because that is what I thought, and yet Costumer support (Bethesda) they have not clear with any of that rather than explaining again the steps something I did, I do own a Geforce card and I launched the game from the panel I played more than 50m and yet I didn't get the reward :(

keep escalating, and link this thread and take screenshots of Kevin's comment.
Also on nvidia's website make sure you are opted for rewards and you need to wait 2 hours after the session has ended for it to arrive in your redeem tab.

    So just to confirm:

    1. No NVIDIA hardware is required in order to obtain this promotional reward.
    2. Players who do not have any NVIDIA hardware can obtain the elk mount via streaming ESO via the GeForce Now app.

    Is that right?

    **EDIT**

Or does the GeForce Now app work only in conjunction with NVIDIA hardware (GPU)?

Oh ok. I thought GeForce Experience/NVIDIA app was only compatible with NVIDIA graphics cards. GeForce Now doesn't require any NVIDIA hardware since you don't even need a PC to use it (can use your mobile phone) so if the promo works with GeForce Now and without the need for any NVIDIA hardware as well, then the promo will be open to all players, regardless of what platform they play on, so console players for example.

I agree it has been a bit of a mess.

I have my Elk, but hate to see others losing out.

I hope they add this Elk to a future golden pursuit or daily login. It is ZOS's digital property after all, so they can dish it out as and when they care to.

GeForce NOW works on a greater variety of hardware, but you do need to own the game through Epic or Steam in order to use NOW. Just owning it on console or through the native client is not recognized. (Kevin got Nvidia to fix their other app - the one that requires Nvidia hardware - to recognize the native client, but NOW still requires Steam or Epic.)

FWIW, playing through the Nvidia app (with the required Nvidia hardware) produced a code immediately. (This went to my partner.) Streaming NOW for a straight hour yesterday (for myself) resulted in no acknowledgment, code, or promise of a code. I do not think Nvidia intends NOW to work, based on their wording in their own fine print. But ZOS has officially stated it should, so I will file a ticket with them if I don’t get anything from Nvidia.

Hey Kevin, just wanted to say thank you for the communication and for your / support's work to help resolve this.

No worries. Totally a team effort and thanks goes to our customer services and program manager for working to resolve this behind the scenes. Thank you (all of you) for flagging so we could work with NVIDIA to resolve this.

This issue is not resolved. The promo only works if we purchased through steam, epic or xbox. There is no option to qualify for this promotion if we purchased directly from Zenimax.

I just went through this for hours on GeForce NOW and am getting bounced back and forth between ZOS and Nvidia support, with each company blaming the other for this not working.

This is hurting my impression of both companies. I've uninstalled GeForce NOW already due to being too much hassle.

I see. So sadly still just for the PC players then.

Let's hope the Elk makes a return further down the line for all. It's a nice mount imho.

And GeForce Now never did work for me either. Only the NVIDIA app worked.

If it does work via GeForce Now, without the need for any NVIDIA hardware (hard to see how this would be the case however), and PC players who have purchased the game via Steam or EPIC can access the promotion (without any NVIDIA hardware - because no NVIDIA hardware is technically required to access GeForce Now and play ESO via Steam or EPIC), then this has become a Steam/EPIC/PC promotion, every bit as much as a just a straight up NVIDIA one :p . I am just not sure how NVIDIA would allow that.

As such I feel that ZOS should be stating categorically that this promotion needs NVIDIA hardware to access.

Has anyone actually managed to get the promo via GeForce Now?

Hi All, for those using the individual ESO Client, NVIDIA has patched the NVIDIA App and is noting things should be working for as intended now. Here are the steps to follow:
    • Close ESO if you are playing.
    • Close and restart the NVIDIA App (Note: NOT GeForce NOW. You need to use the NVIDIA App)
    • NVIDIA App --> Settings --> SCAN NOW to pick up your games.
    • You will now see ESO in the Graphics tab with all other games.

Just a note, with this patch to the NVIDIA app, the timer may reset, so you may have to play the 50 minutes again to get the mount.

Those playing on Steam or Epic, our previous post has not changed. New codes will be uploaded tomorrow afternoon (Jan.9). Please check your NVIDIA App then. If you still do not see a code after that point, please let us know and place a ticket. We will work with you to resolve this.

Again, please let us know if you run into issues, we can work with our teams to troubleshoot if that is the case. Thanks again, all.

@ZOS_Kevin is currently doing his yearly ESO Forum endeavors over the course of a week it would appear! ;)

Kevin confirmed that it is meant to work through GeForce NOW, so if you have streamed it via NOW for the requisite 50 minutes, submit a support ticket. If necessary, link and/or screenshot Kevin's official confirmation that NOW is meant to work (in addition to the screenshot of your stream time in the NOW account) and reiterate the expectation given to us here on the forums that Support is expected to honor this.

I may have to do that myself later today.

At the time of this post the only way to get the elk promo reward is to link your GeForce NOW account to your Epic or Steam account ESO purchase.

THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO CLAIM THE PROMO MOUNT AT THE TIME OF THIS POST

Even those of us who are running $1500 GeForce video cards can't claim the promo mount if we did not purchase the game through steam or Epic.

This issue isn't any more resolved or fixed than it was a week ago.

Do not bother trying to resolve this issue through either Nvidia or ZOS customer support. They will just bounce you back and forth between the two companies for days until you just give up, as I am giving up now.

...another black mark on both companies in my opinion.

    Hi @ZOS_Kevin,

I’m encountering the same issue still with the LAN50 event. Since the NVIDIA app update, my ESO standalone client now appears in the app which is fantastic! I have never seen it appear in there before, I have been launching my ESO game client from the app now, but unfortunately, I’m still unable to claim the LAN50 mount reward despite playing the game for several hours.

I’ve been following the instructions provided by both ESO and NVIDIA support:

    -Play for 50 minutes.
-Wait 2 hours for the reward to appear.

I have even restarted my pc after my sessions, but still no mount. I have even resorted to uninstalling my GPU drivers and the nvidia app entirely (through using display driver uninstaller (DDU)) and reinstalling them both fresh but without any success in getting the LAN50 mount reward.

I’ve been doing this consistently since the event started, but even after the Nvidia app update, the reward remains unclaimable/not appearing in my nvidia app rewards section.

I currently have a support ticket open with ESO support (Ticket #250106-002260), and I’ve also been in touch with NVIDIA support. While both teams are trying their best, I’m repeatedly receiving the same instructions, which haven’t resolved the issue.

Could you kindly work some magic to help me resolve this? I’d greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide.

    edit:

    I have a RTX 3090 FE

Hey folks, make sure if you are using the NVIDIA App,. that you also have an NVIDIA GPU. That is a requirement for this. Also noted in the FAQ.

We will review tickets over the coming days as well. Thanks for your continued patience.

    I got my mount yesterday.

I have an NVIDIA GPU and I play ESO via Steam.

I launched ESO via the NVIDIA app.

I played for around one hour.

I then closed down the NVIDIA app and reopened it (I did this by restarting my computer).

The reward was then in my Redeem menu in the NVIDIA app.

GeForce Now did not work for me.

    End of line.

Has anyone successfully done this on Windows 7?

I have a Windows 10 install on another drive with nvidia app loaded while I played elder scrolls online, but it didn't register anything

I played an hour of steam eso on win 7 through geforce experience, but geforce experience listed the game as "wise ultra enormous dingo" instead of eso and didn't show the game logo. Which is bloody weird.

I played an hour of ESO through geforce now.

    Nothing. Zip. Nada.
