I have seen much older games do them real justice where they look like actual horses. There is no excuse for what they look like in this game. It's just horrible.

And it doesn't end at what they look like. Even the way they move is disgraceful.

As much as I love horses, I can't bring myself to use them in this game. It feels like riding a bulky, clunky, misshapen rocking "horse."

They looked better in Skyrim, so I'm not sure why they didn't just copy and paste that model:



Heck, even the horses in Oblivion had better legs:

Obviously, he tried jumping over the first arch, didn't quite make it, landed going through the second one, and stopped before the third, walking the rest of the way (or crawling, still not sure about how many limbs he had left) to preserve at least something of his intended destination. Unfortunately, once he was there, the steed rematerialized beside him, and the rest of the place was done for.

I was thinking it was some sweetroll guard, but, I can also see it as an unruly ground cover abatement system.
