I think more adults do not want these flashy over the top mounts than do.

This thread alone is not demonstrating support for this new mount, but rather the opposite. As is this poll below.

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/661231/do-you-think-things-have-gotten-too-loud-and-flashy/p1

Fortunately, there are also some more grounded and realistic things in the Crown Store as well. That way, the people who like the grounded and realistic things can get those, and the people who like the flashy things can get what they want. It's a win-win!

...unless, of course, by "adults don't like flashy things," you mean "I don't like to see other people enjoy flashy things." In which case...

    ---

Look, that horse isn't my cup of tea. I do recognize it is themed after the Symphony of Blades (which, surprisingly, is a thing in ESO), so it works. I'm not expecting many people are going to get it, and probably a lot of people who do will get it because they like how flashy it is.

But ZOS wouldn't make and sell things like this if they didn't sell... so obviously someone likes it.

Now to just hope they decide to make some of the things that I want so I can buy them, regardless of what others on the forum think.

I concede that it's not my place to say players can't have whatever skooma-fever-dream induced sparkling rainbow beast shooting flowers and fireworks everywhere, that a player might want.
But I'd pay cash monies for the slider that allows *ME* not to see that cartoony rubbish on *my* screen.

I don't want to keep players from buying what players want, but don't obligate *me* to have to see it.
The problem with society these days is that no one drinks from the skulls of their enemies anymore.

(No, but seriously, can we please get some regular horses with normal horse coats please? And no weird hair styles or over the top armor. Just a horse. With horse looking colors. Please.)

I doubt you could afford the Crown Crates required to get such a thing. Here, have a glowing daedric rock mount with light sabers and a P90 while you wait.

Can't judge too hard based off forum posts though, the forums are mostly negative comments and that's just generally how forums are. People are more likely to post their opinions on things they dislike, rather than come post compliments on all the things they enjoy.

Players *expect* a game to be good and satisfying.
People in general don't tend to posts comments when a product meets expectations.
But, while some people do post negative comments when something falls short of expectations, many more people say nothing and consume it less or just stop consuming it without comment.
The problem with society these days is that no one drinks from the skulls of their enemies anymore.

With all these arms and swords swinging around it's likely that this monstrosity will end up accidentally chopping off a leg or 4 and pretty soon there won't be any left out in the world. We can only hope.

So... I found that the horse originates from the Bhagavad Gita and represents an aspect of Krishna. While it’s a mytho correct reference, I still feel it doesn’t quite fit the theme of Tamriel, it just seems that the devs don't take into account the community dynamic when they "trot" out things like this.

I don't think we should have to pay cash, but I definitely agree that we need a way to block all the flashy and loud cartoony content that other players choose to parade around town.

The worst part is that these things do not fit into the story and have no place in Tamriel.

Maybe that's why horses can't swim in water deeper than their hooves.

This is without a doubt the worst case of asset reuse I've seen so far in this game. And there's a ton of this stuff with every "new" feature added. Don't crosscheck the animations used for the scribed skills, there's only like 2 or 3 that are actually not about 10 years old and realizing that is pretty depressing.

Why would you stick the mournful aegises arms to a horse?!
Why would you stick anybody's arms to a mount at all?

For the love of god Zos, put that yearly revenue to a better use and hire somebody to design and rig new mounts!
Last time I checked you went as far as to reskin a bloody camel into a feathered llama. You couldn't come up with any more ideas for that reskinned-to-death cat from Felidae so the camel had to put with it.

You turned the senche-raht into a bear AND a wingless gryphon and didn't even bother to remove the feline hygiene animation from them. I bet the druids are still trying to figure out what's up with their furry companions because there's definetly some weird magic going on with these things and on top of that their wardrobe shipment got lost in a storm.

How absurd do things have to get for you to spend money, honestly?

A dash of confetti for extra flavor, and if you want it warm, throw in a flaming camel lizard.

Yes, these mounts drive sales, and that is arguably the important thing. It seems like that has always been the important thing when it comes to over the top and questionable Crown items. I am just surprised that it is not the Radiant Apex mount in some loot box to maximize things.

As for the teams being different... I would suggest the possibility that those people could have been working on other art related things besides this. They might not have the instant "ewww, ick" factor that this thing has, but I bet that if they marketed it like they were working on improving the game, there would be a payoff.

    Edit: clarifications.
