I'd like to know who their target audience is, because it's certainly not the large adult population that plays this game.

There is a reason that cartoons are loud with flashy bright colors, because that is what it takes to keep the attention of immature children's minds.

Most of us playing this game are way beyond that. Bring us back to an adult world.

There are plenty of adults who enjoy flashy bright colors, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Most of the people buying those mounts are adults who enjoy it. There aren't a lot of kids in this game. In some countries, kids aren't even allowed to play it. Although, I'm sure that doesn't stop all of them from doing it anyway.

out of all the MMO's I've played thru the years with mounts. I've seen some wild rides, to say its not the weirdest I've seen but I will give it originality on the execution of it.

Fortunately, there are also some more grounded and realistic things in the Crown Store as well. That way, the people who like the grounded and realistic things can get those, and the people who like the flashy things can get what they want. It's a win-win!

Look, that horse isn't my cup of tea. I do recognize it is themed after the Symphony of Blades (which, surprisingly, is a thing in ESO), so it works. I'm not expecting many people are going to get it, and probably a lot of people who do will get it because they like how flashy it is.

But ZOS wouldn't make and sell things like this if they didn't sell... so obviously someone likes it.

Now to just hope they decide to make some of the things that I want so I can buy them, regardless of what others on the forum think.

To me, it basically looks like the player and companion wearing a glowing pantomime horse costume while both dual wielding.

They wouldn't keep making them if they were selling poorly. The people who come here to post about them are more likely to be one with a complaint. But, it's fairly obvious from many comments over the years about how "all the good cosmetics are in crown crates" that plenty of people like the flashy things in those crates.

If the more plain mounts were the most popular and sold the best, that's what would be the focus instead.

THIS is actually doable. A settings toggle that changes everyone's Mount into the default Sorrel Horse for you.

I would turn that on immediately.

Yeah. I find this mount to be a bit over the top for my personal tastes but I can't knock the creativity on display here. I can honestly say I haven't seen a mount in a game quite like that one before. It's unique!

Can't judge too hard based off forum posts though, the forums are mostly negative comments and that's just generally how forums are. People are more likely to post their opinions on things they dislike, rather than come post compliments on all the things they enjoy.

I guess in this post for sure. Although I can say that I've seen quite a few youtubers & commenters supporting this mount and actually enjoying it, rather than having negative views. So I guess it depends as well, where you look for these comments.

Here's a supportive(ish) post from me then - I really don't mind this mount, it's not going to kill the game for me, it's not going to have any negative effect on me at all. I'm all for new mounts being added. I may not purchase it, I do not purchase most mounts. But it's not doing no harm

It will probably give me a little laugh when I see someone running past me in game with it, so it's an amusable one and I'll enjoy seeing people run around on it.

Playing FO76 from time to time, I fear the worst.

There, they turned a serious, dark and unsettling franchise that sported a hint of well-dosed sarcasm into a cartoonish, childish and yet gory slaughter fest with forced funniness everywhere..

Both games started in the 90s with a very detailed, highly customizable and "realistical" approach on the whole RPG genre, giving a freedom I did not experience before.
