GUYS I FIXED IT! Keep changing your language and patching and switching it back, and logging in. Eventually it works!

Confirmed, Changing language - Patching(You don't need to complete the patch just make sure it starts download then switch it back to English) - Logging in - (doesn't work log out and repeat untill it does)

Kay i could join the Vertran content. Group with someone how could travel to Coldharbour, than port to him. Than make Quests, there u will get a normal Quests witch is the mainquest witch u will get as a normal one. Finish him, and u will play through the story! So u will Skip this bugged *** quest. hope it help.

Hint:"Vanvus Galerion" is in your main city!!! Mournold for me and .....nothing, now am 50 and cannot go into vet as it says I NEED TO FINISH MAIN QUEST LINE....
Come on this is the MAIN quest to do for 50 and you cannot fix it?????

Had this problem for a day then contacted customer support, they told me to type /camp to reset my current quest, then i found Vanus by Wayrest Shrine and was able to talk to him. Thank You Tech Support.

For the moment, there are a few things you can try to get this quest working for you again. Logging off and on again, or typing in /reloadui into the chat window may fix your problem.

If these do not work for you, you can progress to the next chapter of the storyline by moving ahead to the next area. I realize this may skip some of the story for you, but it will permit you to continue.

What a funny statement. Hey you can't move to the next area without this quest? Oh we are sorry about that. But it shouldn't be a problem. Just bypass the problem by moving to the next area... wait what?

LOL! The support told me to "abandon the quest." Support doesn't actually reads our problems. They got their $100. Now it's crap customer support until non existent support when the game goes free to play.

Oh it will end up like greenshade. Wait for 2 or 3 weeks till the main crowd reached the quest status. When people start to bombard the forums about the issue they will implement a workaround instead of a full fix.

This particular quest bug is a known issue, and the team is currently working on a solution. In the meantime, there are a couple of things you may try to resolve this issue:
Type /reloadui in the command line of the Chat Box
Try performing a soft reset: log out of the game and launcher completely for at least 15 minutes. This will reset your character's instance information and may cause quest NPCs to work properly.
Abandon and restart the quest, which also causes quest NPCs and objectives to restart; this generally gets positive results.

Please Fix I can't advance on main quest!


EDIT: What a joke, after saying that fix obviously did not work they replied with instructions on how to use wayshrines? REALLY at lvl 48 I may not know what a Wayshrine is?

Remember that you can leave any instance by porting to a wayshrine. It will cost you a small amount of gold (variable depending on your level and how recently you used a wayshrine), but it can help you continue your game when you can't complete the quest objectives. To port to a wayshrine, press [M] to open your map. Click on the magnifying glass in the lower left-hand corner of the map window, and select any region you have already explored. When the map you have selected comes up, left-click on any wayshrine you have already discovered, and then press [E] to confirm.

I changed the language to French and the guy is there (Wayrest next to the castle) with the arrow on his head.. but I can't talk to him. My game was originally in English and he was exactly in the same position without moving (same with French).

SUPPORT HELP PLS.

I have the same issue although for me the quest just dropped out of my journal and there is no way to restart it.
