Main Story Quest "Messages across Tamriel" Bugged!

I found the guy to talk to at grahtwood near wayshire but unable to interact with him. Please help I need to do this quest... so frustrating!

I have the same issue Meedzy. I hit lvl 50 a couple days ago and still no lvl 50 Main story line quest. Customer Service just responded with to see your quests access your Journal (J). They didn't even read my issue. Seriously, at lvl 50 I hope everyone knows how to access their Journal.

Without the LVL 50 Main storyline quest I am stuck :-(

IM going to quote myself here too as some of you said they are aware of this issue and im not sure they are when i contacted them about this i got an answer on a comletly different thing.

Identical issue. I'm just pissed that these issues have been known since beta and they launched like this. I understand a certain number of bugs but I've come across close to 100 bugs in a single leveling experience of one character. Some have really made progression difficult and a couple impossible, some have held back map / zone completion, some have lost up to 30 mins of play, some have wiped items / gold because of roll back, some have caused dungeon wipes. Bethesda knows that gamers won't stand for this crap and pay a sub. Great game if we could just have less issues. Should've pushed it back 6 months. It's clearly un-finished.

Totally agree. Canceled subscription as well. Why promote Craglorn, veteran rank 10, when content right now for a level 43 quest that leads to Vet rank 1 does not work. Zenimax priorities suck.

Totally canceled. This is until someone can show me some evidence that I'm getting my money's worth again. Looks like I'm waiting for Wildstar.

have they even said anything about this? this is literally one of the worst bugs I have ever heard of going for more than a couple of days. does this effect everyone or just some people?

This quest is acknowledged as broken by studio. I have a tracker here: https://code.google.com/p/esobugtracker/issues/detail?id=4

No ETA on fix yet. Next maint window is Tuesday. It does not impact all players.

There was suppose to be downtime last night (NZ time) I was hoping this would be fixed with that as I am stuck until I can get the lvl 50 main storyline is fixed. Unfortunately, I am not getting much response from support either. :-(

How does a progression/main story quest remain broken for a week without getting fixed? It's pathetic.

Worst bugs in the history of any mmo. You cant level. You cant gain exps. Im still stuck on the main quest line tryingt to pick a NPC to die. My quest log has no main quest line in it anymore.

A *** CSR response telling me to abandon the main quest.... as if he didnt even read my email and problem. There is no quest to abandon. :sigh:

I have also now experienced this bug. I cannot talk to Vanus Galerion, stopping me from progressing...

German players reported that they got their quest manually abandoned by support and that they were able to go though the quest without a problem after that.

You may wish to try abandoning the quest and reaccepting it, as well as logging off and back on.

If you cannot abandon the quest, it is likely considered a main story quest. We are currently working to fix this issue. In the meantime, you can progress to the next chapter of the storyline by moving ahead to the next area.

Are they realy this stupid?....this is the 5th time i answer to them in the same mail/ticket and this is what they come with after 4 days....

as you can see the Support team dont know ANYTHING about the game.

I've asked them to have a GM abandon/reset the quest for me, but they seem to be really hesitant about doing something like that even though they -have- done it for other players with the same issue.

This is nuts. been stuck on this quest for a while now. Every ticket i submit is just some generic answer. Even tho in my ticket ive told them I tried everything they told me to do already. Like seriously stop bs'ing us and get this *** fixed. No point in have a subscription if my character cant progress further. game over

This is ridiculous. Day 3 now stuck on this quest. Aldmeri Dominion. Submitted several tickets, got only automated response, no response at all or a promise that my issue will be forwarded to a specialist team. Needless to say, nothing happened.
I also suspect that they don't work on weekends.
I have tried everything (relogging obviously, /reloadui, multiple language changes, etc.).
I can somewhat live with side quests being bugged, since they are not critical to progression. But the main quest line? Really? And reportedly there are SEVERAL steps which are bugged, even later in Coldharbor.
Considering cancelling my sub, if this does not get resolved quickly.

I just did "message across tamriel" in AD after completing the main quest at dune, which sent me to skywatch where i had to talk to raz to start it.

Did not have any issues at all with it.

which then moved me on to coldharbour. Not trying to claim its not bugged, but did those of you with problems on the quest do the full storyline?

Also gets quite messy in the threads when people drag in other stuff then the original OP quest that was asked about...

PS: As for general support its often wise to include all the information possible, like levels, quest progression, able to interact with others in the area and so on...
ive seen enough "does not work fix!!!" reports myself to know they do not help at all, as first thing normally is to recreate the bug to sort out the underlying causes.

That might be part of the problem, Spawnsplitter - because Motes in Moonlight was bugged for me for like 6 days, I reached level 45 before I could complete the main quest in Reaper's March at Dune. Queen Ayrenn at the end says something like go to Skywatch, but there is nothing there. In fact, I think she said something about going to Skywatch before I was even finished with the Dune quest! However, the only quest I have is the Messages across Tamriel.

And I am quite sure my help requests contain enough information - the name and level of the quest, the step I am stuck on, and the problem (not being able to interact with Vanus Galerion). And that I have already tried countless times relogging, language changes, etc. No useful response so far.
