Hmm, needs more confetti. Then we can call it a new system.

    Perfection >:)

Now that is a true vision of beauty beyond anything we have seen in the game so far. See, this right here, is exactly what I want to see in a new system! The happiness of the masses who haven't been at all genetically altered by the potential toxins in their celebratory confetti.

We have to earn those forum stars AvA Ranks on the field of battle after all!

You laugh but maybe they just glanced at each other and were just thinking "Oh rats. They're onto us. What are we going to do now?"

Dev 1 If you didn't make us skimp on everything else, we could've added a shiny new color variation or glowy banner in the crown store for the duel mode but that isn't going to fly now.

Coorporate: Quick. think of something else and it better be inexpensive or your fired.

Obviously, this is just a joke.

Thank you. I am glad I could make this whole thread much happier. There are so many joyous smiles here now, no one can complain about negativity anymore!

Also, I really want an official forum PvP mode now. Either that or insult sword fighting.

I didn't watch a stream, so I've just read the news article with brief list of upcoming features.

Housing tours are not interesting for me, I really wanted more furnishing slots (especially for mounts/assistants/pets etc) :'(

Curated item sets for Undaunted coffers and Imperial City coffers are exciting! Sadly, I spent almost all my keys on some of shoulders recently...

I've just discovered yesterday that you can buy some nice stuff in Infinite Archive, with new stuff every week... This week there's Valkyn Skoria mask style! :o I've probably missed so many useful items since it's release :( But I barely understand how this Infinite Archive works, so I can't really appreciate any of those upcoming additions. What I would appreciate is increase in earned currency and drop chance for leads from there :)

But the best feature for me is going to be preview of mount's rearing up animation in crown store! <3 It could only be topped by official gold >crown exchange in the game :D
Finally, after so many years of asking and waiting! But there is still room for improvement: please, add crown store preview for unique idle animations of Radiant and Apex mounts!
Even when some player does some showcase video for a mount, special idle animations (which are displayed at character selection screen and in housing) are almost never included :'( As mounts are my favorite part of ESO, I am always curious of what new behavior designers add to them. Since this feature started with New Moon crates, every Radiant and Apex mount from a new season gets one new idle. There are so many mounts with unique animations which I will never see... At least if they will be in preview, I can look at them whenever their crate seasons return.

Also, please add an option to use any of those idle animations on any other mount of the same category. For example, any wolf which I own should be able to perform this idle if I also own this idle animation (or own the Apex mount associated with it):

    A7HdFsE.png

And it would be even more perfect if we could preview trail of the mount (some mounts have permanent trail, some only gain it after rearing up).
Also, having ability to preview voices of Polymorphs in the store would be amazing too! It can be done with emotes /cheer , /laugh , /angry , light/heavy attack, screams of pain and Break Free (currently this ability is bugged and doesn't use correct vocalization, so this needs to be fixed first).
I've skipped many polymorphs because their visuals were not good enough to convince me. And nobody did any showcase of some of them, so I have no idea how they sound. Good suitable voice can make me buy any Polymorph which I would otherwise skip, because I mostly use them for cool combat sounds :)

I loved the way the npc you'd fight in hogwarts legacy would mock the skills you chose to use, especially if you threw the chomping cabbages. "are you throwing VEGETABLES???!!"

Based on the stream today, it seems like the update was over-hyped considering the limited content being introduced. Many people are particularly disappointed by the housing feature, which turned out to be underwhelming.

This update is full of changes that no one asked for, while other frequently requested changes are still missing.

It feels like ZoS is wasting valuable staff time on projects that players don't care about, disregarding the feedback from the community.

I'm not surprised because they said it was only going to be a QOL focused quarter from the beginning. Now, if they don't buff Necromancers and Redguards, then I'll be disappointed.

For me, I was pleasantly surprised by the announced IA changes.

Exactly. Some are more likely to be overly excited, just as others are more likely to be unhappy or upset with the content. We have seen that play out time and time again here.

Well ZoS created the "hype" around this "feature", they could have told us back than when they showed the roadmap what it was. If they had labeled it as Groupfinderimprovements or something like that, than there would have been less hype, this "feature" is so insignificant that it should have been mentioned as a sidenote in the patchnotes, it should not have been the main fokus of a Q3 reveal stream, let alone have a place between dungeons and chapter announcements on the yearly reveal event.
This is just terrible marketing and if the Q4 reveal be anything like that, than zos will probably loose the last pvp players that are still buying their products.

Agreed, they created the hype themselves. If ZOS would have been upfront about it, then nobody would be disappointed now.

The Housjng and PvP community are VERY vocal about their wishes. By announcing a new feature around these two game systems, players` expectations were high and ZOS needed to manage that. Nobody asked for the Housing finder ... it`s a nice thing to have, sure ... but really only a patch note.

Personally, I thought they would have split the outside and inside to allow for more furnishing items. Or a complete new feature surrounding housing (gardening?). Maybe an update to houseguests?

They are definitely pulling resources from ESO, which is a shame. I really enjoyed Gold Road and the art design was top notch but in terms of content and size, putting scribing aside - an undercooked system, it felt more like a DLC than a Chapter.

I feel like ZOS are mishandling ESO and the content release. Instead of what we get now, they should switch to actual expansions every few years. these always get huge media coverage and bring people back.

There wasn't a lot in this update for endgame players, to be honest. I believe the appeal is mainly directed towards the 99% of players on Consoles and PC — those who aren't endgame players.

I see Housing Tours as a benefit for consoles. They are still at stone knives and bearskins, so just about any QoL looks like Christmas morning.

On the console, into housing and could less about tours. I was hoping for at the very least a way to search through plans when constructing. I have so many plans it's make it hard to find what I want.

A furnishing bag would be ideal, but I don't see that happening.

When I commented on another thread that I hoped it was a way to keep track of which furnishing plans we did not have on console, the response was that would be a disappointment for everyone. I was sort of low balling it for the one feature that would greatly help me. So I am disappointed in that was not it. I have to fill out a spreadsheet to keep track of which plans I have and which I do not. I don’t really want to take time out from playing to do that monumental task.

I did not see the stream but am trying to get a feel for what these housing tours would be. I like the idea of getting more visibility in housing, not my own personally, but a way to see other houses that are contest worthy, so it may be of use for me. It’s just there are so many other things that could have been added along with that.

Yeah. I think people that were expecting big new functionality or increased slots over hyped themselves. QOL changes aren't things that are big new features. And the devs have telling us for years that we will not be getting more slots because it is not feasible on a technical level.

So I didn't expect things like gardening, mannequins, or more slots. I knew it wasn't going to be that..

I have wanted this functionality for years, so I am pleasantly surprised it's being added. But I definitely understand those that wanted something more pressing and universally applicable like an improved way to keep track of plans and search them in guild stores. That's certainly in line with QOL updates and probably one of the most direly needed things. It is certainly more important than tours. We have almost 3000 plans. Deconstruction is another good example of something actually QOL. Realistically, tours should have been a side attraction, not the main event. After all, it's only really good for us console players. And even then, probably only those of us that are into sharing big constructions.

Yeah they’ve already said they can’t increase slots or give us a furnishing bag but everyone ignores that. Expecting that is a setup for disappointment for sure. Just because those are the most requested features does not mean it can/will be done.

As you hinted just allowing us to search and filter out known plans in guild traders would have been a huge improvement. That is a request that has been mentioned numerous times and I can’t figure out why that could not be implemented, and possibly increase performance as well.

LOL those of you who think ESO is in or approaching maintenance mode haven't got a clue.

Here's a clue, to the best of my observation, it is likely that this:

    https://elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/news/post/63363

was the start of what I call 'Legacy mode'. Specifically, the changes to Q3 and Q4 releases.

A Legacy system is one that is still a 'production system'.
Therefore it still has planned updates and regular maintenance.

The real change is that experienced development staff will have been moved onto the development of the new system.

Meanwhile ff14 released a dlc that has 6-7 dungeons, multiple trials, 5-6 huge new zones, 2 new jobs, and a patch scheduled in a few weeks to add 4 new raids. Yep content in eso has been trash for years it's a big reason I left even though I loved the combat system. I would have stayed except the combat system is also always buggy smh. All that content from ff14 is the same price as eso 1 map..... Just take that in.

That sounds amazing. I'm jealous. :(

was this for real? or a hint or sarcastic comment? Hard to tell in writing sometimes. I have seen a handful of media content creators go to bat for the player base at different times, but yes only a few are doing so in the "Media Sea" which seems like so little.

Let's ask the questions and test the logic. Why can't they cover it? Are they forbidden and/or punished somehow to cover the truth? Are they forbidden from talking together and covering legit problems totally new players encounter in game. Was this comment meant to imply media sources covering ESO can't or won't get organised to mention the most basic asks of experienced players for some reason?

Was it being implied that other media content creators are just too focused or their own take of the game and rewards? or possibly too busy focusing on newer or more rewarding games at crucial points when advocating change here could've made an impact. Maybe too focused on creating fake drama? ...or was it perhaps implying many of them(not all) are too busy blowing smoke up their own and each other's butts to care about or mention what the larger portion of the player base wants to see in expansions? ...or are they maybe so alienated from the majority players, especially completely new gamers, because they've forgotten what's it's like to play a 1st game ever?

Are they somehow unable to offer helpful (non game breaking) hints as to how ZOS can retain newer players? Are they unable to suggest which systems function and don't function when implemented? Are they unable to poll their own viewer's feedback?

So why can't the PvP community be heard and for that matter why can't other communities be heard as well?

I fully agree - they hyped up the housing feature so much and all we got was a way to tour homes? Like - that exists as an addon and sure it may have some benefit for console players who cannot access addons, it is far less useful than more slots or better furnishing storage would be. What is really frustrating is I am sure ZOS knows the housing community wants those things but instead offers us this. Which - yeah I know this is not new information but they either a) do not listen or b) do not care. Probably both honestly.

Now they need to hire a dev for Cyrodiil PvP and invest in the most dynamic and challenging aspect of ESO....something ZOS hasn't done for at least 5 years now.

PvP has been in maintenance mode for years, and now it's looking like the rest of the game might be getting the same treatment, unless housing and companions are your thing....which they are not for many of us. Housing enthusiasts DO help each other and play collectively. MMO (not to mention RPG) doesn't mean only combat.

Besides, considering how much they've reduced content, we're all trying to find joy in what we can at this point.
