Based on the stream today, it seems like the update was over-hyped considering the limited content being introduced. Many people are particularly disappointed by the housing feature, which turned out to be underwhelming.

I also think the new housing system is pretty cool. Between this and the Archive, it's like a focus on systems that give us a lot to do over the long term. It would be awesome if it came with new furnishings and stuff but ... we'll see if there's anything in the patch notes that they didn't mention.

I would think more people would be pleasantly surprised. It's hard to say that "mostly everyone" is upset by this update, when the forums are such a small subset of ESO's playerbase as a whole.
If the entire Q3 update is nothing but tweaks to existing systems (IA, housing, and "QOL" modifications), then it's looking more and more like the Q4 PvP update will probably be a new BG map, expanded dueling, or maybe some more no trade style pages.
Looking more and more like maintenance mode is getting a lot closer.

If you are into housing (as some say - the REAL endgame), and social guilds - this is a really, really big update.
I'm not a fan of IA, mostly because it's such a grind/timesuck, but for those who love grinding away on it - it's pretty big news.
The little tidbit about increased luminous ink drop options was the only part that got increased interest from me - and it was by comparison just a fleeting comment.
QoL improvements and some light content additions for one facet of the game. I don't think this is bad at all.
But as has been noted many times before with other updates - let's see what the patch notes say and find out if they are nerfing any sets/classes again.

This was a new "system" and what is coming is a pvp "system"

I'm in many end game discords and I haven't heard one person that was excited about this.
There is literally an add on that does what they spent tons of dev $ and time on. Like what the hell.

Actually, most everyone in the housing community is incredibly disappointed, so no, this is not a "really, really" big update. It's small potatoes most of us don't care about.

The person who created the addon (Essential Housing Tools), Cardinal05 is actually a paid ZOS employee now.

I don't see a need for ratings, but what's the worst thing that could happen? Even if they gave you 0 out of 5 stars or something, why care? It's not like you get any negative consequences for it.
